Let me just say this, look at my yelp account and just by seeing how serious i am about my reviews,…read morethat should be enough to understand the way i feel about this one. So after some thought about retaliation or whatever, I thought it would be best to just give the MIAMI-DADE FIRE RESCUE in DORAL'S GRAVEYARD SHIFT 1 star that should really be 0 stars and not really go into details but ill say it with this, there are at least 3 guys (possibly 4 or 5) whos work and life and a Fire Rescue employee should be revoked or at least suspended until they complete an Ethics course .....NOT! Ya'll should be permanently fired with no hesitation and unable to work for any other fire department or as a paramedic, there was even private paramedic there who can even serve as a witness for part of it. And yes im only referring to 3-5 specific guys who dealt with me 1 or 2 different nights and not the whole department obviously. Who knows if they were feeding off themselves to treat me the way they did, but they had no reason to, i think they were just sleepy tired and grouchy (it was around 3 or 4 am BUT wtf its their job?!? they were also hating on me like if they knew me but i didnt know ANY of them and i remember faces, believe me, but they acted like they knew all about me, smh. Completely unprofessional and downright scary to be treated that way, not what u would expect from people who are supposed to be saving lives. These guys from that night should never have even become anything close to paramedics or fire rescue and are lucky im not a lawyer or know a good one for that matter. Ima leave it at that and u guys should be happy i did and dont ever fukin treat anybody the way u treated me for god's sake...

There is such a sad story attached to this place and also one of hope and love. In April of 2018,…read morethe Miami-Dade Medical Examiner Department named this cemetery after Dr. Bruce A. Hyme who led the MDME for 15 years, which is Florida's largest and busiest medical examiners office. During his career he presided over more than 30,000 autopsies before passing away from cancer in April of 2016. The cemetery is adjacent to Miami-Dade Fire Station #13. The land was purchased by the county for $10 in 1925. Since then it has served as the final resting place for the indigent and unidentified deceased persons of Miami Dade County. Over 40,000 people have their final resting place here, either buried or as scattered ashes. It is hard to even wrap my mind around 40,000 people who didn't have anyone to claim their bodies. This sadness also weighed heavily on Dr. Hyma and during his tenure as Medical Examiner he worked on a project to beautify the cemetery to give these people a final resting place of dignity and respect. During the dedication of the cemetery Darren Caprara, Director of Operations, for the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner Department said of Dr. Bruce Hyma that he "was an inspirational leader and an remarkable forensic pathologist, however he will be best remembered for his compassionate and caring demeanor. It is truly fitting that his name will be forever associated with the County cemetery, a place where thousands without family were given a compassionate and dignified final resting place." The cemetery can be opened for loved ones who may find out later that their person was interred here. Before the beautification project the lot was overgrown with weeds. Now when people come there are wide pathways, shade trees, and benches. It looks very peaceful. If you didn't know it was a cemetery you might think it was just an empty field. If you look closer at the ground there are some stone markers with numbers carved into them. At the back of the cemetery is a Veterans memorial and a fountain with a scatter garden. On the ground is the calcium deposits left from the cremated remains of over 6,000 people that have been sprinkled there since 1994. Volunteers planted flowers and cleaned up the area, dedicating the scatter garden in 2015. Dr. Hyma was present at the dedication before he passed away the next year. I love how compassionate people came together, veterans, volunteers, and members of different agencies so that a neglected area could be turned into a peaceful place where people who did not much dignity in life could at least have it in death.

October 12, 2016 my family (husband, 6yr old and mother) and I were rear ended on northbound I75…read more We were struck in the middle lane during rush hour traffic. We sat there extremely nervous that someone would slam into the back of the car that already hit us. As we sat there 2 BSO officers in cars and 1 motorcycle officer, also BSO passed right by us. Not one of them stopped. The next thing we know, an off duty police officer from the Miramar Police Department, clearly on his way home, stopped. He checked on us and on the person who hit us and let us know he also called in the accident. He let us know he was going to stop traffic for us so we could pull our cars off to the side of the road. He did that. He also waited until Fire rescue arrived. We know he didn't need to stop, but we were happy he did. Someone not paying attention could have hit us again. Because of his actions only our cars were damaged and we all walked away without additional injury. I wish I could tell you that this was the first time they have helped us, however, it was not. When my husband experienced identity theft a few years ago, they were the ONLY law enforcement agency that would write a police report. All the other offices told us it was a waste of time. Kudos Miramar police for taking care of EVERYONE, not just people living in your jurisdiction.
