This is pretty much a standard review of your standard English pub situation. There is a smaller downstairs that is sparingly lit, in a good way, and a bigger upstairs with lots of room for sports watching. The interior is on the more committed side of things which is also good. The bartenders are attentive and on top of their game the times I've been here. Nothing much to complain about, nothing much to boast about. The beer selection has a few interesting options on bottle, otherwise it's Brooklyn and light lager taps like most places.
I've also been here for a show, and this is where it gets interesting. The sound was, for a place like this, really, really good. The drums were mic'd up and things got very loud, yet still clear. For a moment, it felt like a small, but real venue. I will definitely be back here for more live shows. Props to the people on the soundboard! read more
