When in Cordova on business a couple of years ago I was told that a stop at Copper River Fleece was a must. I'm so glad I listened to that advice as I truly love the jackets here. Copper River Fleece jackets are beautiful, stylish, lightweight (but warm), wind resistant, well made, and they fit well. They are quality. I bought my first jacket a couple of years ago and now have four of them. They are all arctic jackets, 3 with hoods & one without a hood. Each one of them is a different color and has a different trim. I cannot tell you how many compliments I've had while wearing these jackets. Part of the reason they stand out from other jackets is because of the workmanship that goes into them and also because of the unique trim--I always get the zipper trim and the trim around the collar because that really gives them a splash of class and, for me at least, says that I'm proud to be an Alaskan since the trims all are Alaskan in nature: salmon, bear paw, sandpipers, loons, native plants, etc. The customer service here is awesome. The last 3 jackets I've purchased I've done so via their website, sometimes after calling their store to get further info about about the item first, and have always received the jacket within 2 to 3 days. Expensive, Alaskan made, quality outdoor gear. The brand uses unique trim on their clothing that people can easily pick out as Copper River Fleece gear. I won a vest through work and picked out the Kodiak Vest with black, mulberry, and yellow-billed Loon Trim. I got a size large based on a skinny girl wearing a large jacket and when I received it found it was way too big. I returned it and got a medium which fit perfectly. You have to go to the website and print out a return form and send a check for the shipping based on the worth of the product. So for my $132 vest it was $6.95. The return form should have the amount listed because I forgot and it took me another trip to the post office to return the item. Customer service was stellar. I put the right vest down but the wrong color and someone called to confirm colors. Also, the call came the day before I received it meaning priorirty shipping was super fast. Will buy a jacket in the near future. Side note, the sizes run bigger and the colors on the website tend to run brighter than reality; My mulberry looks more like grape than fuschia on the website. read more
