When I moved to Butte, I suffered from so much chronic pain I thought I was done lifting and running for good. A number of old injuries limited my range of motion and made exercise of any kind absolutely miserable. I was willing to try anything to start getting back into shape. I noticed a sign for Copper City CrossFit and gave it a try. It was life changing! The coaches are incredible. They taught me proper exercise form as well as techniques to rehab my injured parts and regain my mobility. The biggest difference I saw was in my shoulders. When I started I was unable to put my right arm overhead without stabbing pain. After working with the trainers here my shoulders are pain free even while doing overhead squats and thrusters. This is an awesome place to start CrossFit. The coaches give thorough instructions and demonstrations before every class. During the class they are attentive to each individual providing additional guidance as necessary. Every workout can be scaled to accomodate people of any age and fitness level. Here CrossFit is truly accessible to anyone willing to give it a try. read more

My son, 11 attended CC Crossfit over his summer vacation in Butte. The class was perfect for youth athletes! He came home after 6 weeks stronger and motivated to keep his gains going! The staff are certified youth Crossfit Instructors and if you have a youth athlete that needs strength and conditioning, this is your place. read more

Established in March 2012, Copper City Strength & Conditioning was the first functional fitness facility in Butte, America. Anthony and Tara founded the gym because they had a passion for fitness and a passion for the great city of Butte. Copper City Strength & Conditioning’s mission is to provide a fun and positive training environment in order to develop and foster a community of strong and healthy individuals that are dedicated to improving their quality of life. As an organization we work to provide 4 main pillars of service to our members: - Coaching – Our staff is here to help you become a better version of yourself. EVERY member at CCSC gets a primary coach! That coach’s job is to help you out in any way they can toward you goals. - Programming – No more walking into the gym without a plan of what you will do that day. Our staff provides general, sport specific and customized workout design to ALL of our members. - Accountability – We ALL need to be held accountable to our goals. I have been to YMCA's that were 40 years older that were cleaner. It's full of perverts and they don't enforce any type of dress code.

I don't know the last time they cleaned anything. I mean clean, clean. The family bathrooms in the pool area are one of most disgusting places I've ever visited. They have terrible drainage so they're constantly covered in stagnant, dirty water. The shower areas of both women and family bathrooms have scum and terrible buildup that is so gross. I wouldn't shower there for fear of getting dirtier. The pool equipment is old and torn. **The lifeguards, thankfully, do seem to do a good job watching the pool.** The roughhousing in the pool is a LOT. People dump their kids off and the guards themselves are kids. It's a bit worrisome they they've not been empowered to get a handle on the, at times, feral behavior of the pool dwellers. The workout upstairs area is...ok. It's busy at the usual times (am/pm) but have pretty standard equipment. I do like the classes they offer, but I wish they had a larger variety and more often. I would be more than willing to pay extra for a better experience all around.

My body is stronger, my posture better, I have no back and neck issues that pained me before my yoga practice, and the stress of work is less traumatic.
