I am writing this to bring attention to a serious scam that occurred inside your Walmart 24h store…read morein Cancun. During my visit, a man named Mike, wearing a Walmart name tag, approached us inside the store and offered what he claimed was an official Walmart promotion: * 6 round-trip ferry tickets to Isla Mujeres * A full-day golf cart rental * Lunch on the island * Hotel pickup All for USD $120, with a $30 deposit. He repeatedly assured us that he worked for Walmart, not any resort, and that it was NOT a timeshare sales pitch. However, later that night he messaged us saying the pickup would be changed to 8:00 AM so he could take us to another resort for breakfast -- something we never agreed to. When we insisted on sticking to the original 9:30 AM plan, he showed up the next morning and again pressured us to go to the resort to attend a 1.5-hour presentation, which was obviously a timeshare scheme. When we refused, he told us the trip was canceled and that our $30 deposit was being kept by his "boss." He then claimed we would have to return to Walmart to get it back. Before we could even discuss it further, he jumped onto a bus and disappeared. This was misrepresentation, dishonesty, and a clear scam -- all happening inside Walmart premises, by someone wearing a Walmart name badge. I am requesting: 1. Walmart Cancun to investigate how scammers are operating inside your store while appearing to be legitimate staff. 2. The resort involved to take responsibility for using deceptive tactics to lure tourists into timeshare presentations. 3. A refund of the $30 deposit that was taken under false pretenses. 4. Measures to ensure this does not happen to other visitors. Tourists should feel safe inside a well-known retailer like Walmart -- not targeted by scammers pretending to be staff. The mall was air conditioned, clean, 80's modern, and safe with mostly middle range shops. The Food court was easy to find. There were a couple sit down restaurants. We went to the sushi restaurant but the hostess said there was a long wait. We settled on Pizza Hut for my youngest which had a surprisingly long wait. The rest of us ate Chinese "Cajun" food which is similar to what's offered in all US malls. Everyone was fed for about $35. The food was a little greasy but filling. I had to use my Spanish to order everything. The staff were all very friendly and hospitable.

It had clothes, food, shoes, towels, alcohol, literally EVERYTHING. Like a big ole even cheaper Walmart lol. It can be very packed in the mall and a lot of people just walk right into you. There are few shopping malls around the area...even a few shops in ever corner...but i think everything they sold around here was crap... this Might be one of the shiniest mall Iv been too in Cancun... however this mall does have a few Western shops...but mainly offer things like local stuff and souvenirs....there was this very ugly Christmas tree made out of frabic on the first floor.. it was petty ugly...you have to pay at least twenty five cent american to use the restrooms...there were guards with guns in every corner.... it was actually kinda scary... third floor has a movie theater...all Western movies in Spanish...never will i ever come back to this capitalistic mall!!

Dam mini cheese buns are so good it's dangerous at $3 pesos! A tub of mango, pineapple, or watermelon was only two dollars each! They also had a lot of baked goods that looked yummy and a small food court. Gigante super mercado! This supermarket is huge!…read more This big supermarket has everything you'll need for a beach holiday! It's a regular supermarket, but I suspect that the locals don't shop here at all. The prices are pretty high, and much of the food isn't quite practical. This is a two story grocery store- not counting the parking. Be sure that you don't miss the top floor, where all the liquor and food hall is. Nom! Parking is on the bottom floor. They sell you validation at the cash register. Beware- the grocery bagger is looking for tips. My favorite part of the supermarket is all the cheap Mexican gifts they sell, with clearly marked prices. Actually, many of them are cheaper than the flea market down the way, because you don't have to haggle and deal with the cat calls from the clerks. Beware of the touts selling excursions and whatnot at the entrance. Just because they're in a supermarket doesn't mean they can't take advantage of gringos. This supermarket gets awfully busy in the afternoon. The aisles are narrow. It's best to come at an off time.
