A fantastic, warm, small school, wonderful caring teachers. Where classes are not too big and…read morestudents get a lot of attention and Always helpful, people from all nationalities enjoy this school very much, I really don't understand the first negative review here- I think this must have been a special issue that somehow ended being not resolved- its definitely not representative of the big majority of parents in school who are super duper happy . The best way to know is to simply ask parents of children who go there- if you are interested i recommend to talk to parents - you will simply discover what a wonderful school this is.
We have twin daughters in Year 3 at Soho Parish Primary and they love their school, as do we. They were immediately made to feel welcome by everyone and, within days, had a large circle of friends and were taking part in everything that the school had to offer. The learning environment is fun without sacrificing academic standards and, because of this, both my daughters are achieving well above what is expected for their age. If you want an education hammered into your child and a ton of homework every night, don't come to Soho Parish but, if you want your children to achieve through a love of learning in a caring, friendly and respectful environment do come to this school. I feel also that I have to say something in response to the negative review by Julie-Anne H on this site although it seems likely, from the mention of "rigid" teaching methods, and "British" values, that the review has been accidentally posted under the wrong school (The school's actual values can be found on their website). However, if she is indeed talking about Soho Parish, I would like to say that this isn't the school that we recognise; our own daughters are bilingual children of migrants, as are a large proportion of the children in their class, and indeed the school. Far from not supporting children of migrants, catering for the diversity of nationalities and backgrounds from every continent, as well as the special needs of individual children, is one of the strengths of the school, to which it plays very well.
I will never be able to judge the school itself as I never studied there. However, for the couple…read moreof visits I've made there at election times, I have to at least rate them on organization! Despite quite a few people complaining about the voting process (French, complaining? Really? :)), I would have to argue that each and every single time, it went rather smoothly for me. And the staff helping out on the day have always been really helpful.
