He is professional, listens to your concerns, and helps develop of plan of care WITH your input. I've now been getting allergy shots at the clinic weekly with Jay, RN and he is also fabulous! He is super friendly and takes great care of all the patients. Definitely recommend coming here for the allergy clinic!! As for the ophthalmologist I saw, he was not friendly and dismissed my concerns. He almost laughed them off to be honest. I haven't felt that disrespected in a while. Wouldn't recommend.

ALL I require is the continuation of existing meds prescribed by my last Dr. What's so hard about that? I spent from 11:30am to 4pm exhaustively TRYING to connect to a legit psychiatrist's office to make a simple appt!!! What the hell is wrong with you people?!? i USED TO TRUST YOU. 4 1/2 hrs is LONG ENOUGH!!! I had lab work to complete, but didn't even bother doing it, fearing that I would get lost (have an anxiety disorder). As I could imagine, someone could easily get lost here, so the only improvement I would make is to have proper/clearer signage available to make navigating the facility easier. As I was walking out, people WERE confused and didn't know where they were going. They were walking around in circles trying to find the area they needed to be in. It was my first time here, so I couldn't point them in the right direction other than what the signage pointed out on the wall. The quality in care is great though. Dr. Atkinson answered all of my questions and diagnosed me fairly quickly. He also let me know who I needed to speak to/get referred out to and sent the referral out without issue. His nurse, Jacqueline was sweet and made me feel very comfortable.

Dr. Nguyen never called, and it's Friday so I probably won't hear back until Monday. Hopefully it's nothing serious. He also mentioned he had gone over the 20 minutes allotted to me. I've never been told I had a time limit for a doctor's office visit.

Pop up to the second floor via the elevator, or stairs, and you have arrived. Due to a Christmas layoff, I lost my regular insurance back in December. Thankfully, I now have a temporary insurance that allows me to be seen at Hillcrest Family Health Center. Amen to that! I recommend making an early appointment, as this place can get quite busy as the day goes on. There is plenty of seating in the waiting room, but it's possible you could get an unfavorable seat, or not a seat at all. The young ladies at the check-in station have all been very nice, which is much appreciated. Also, there is hand sanitizer at the check-in station which is also "so fresh and so clean". Aside from the aforementioned, I've been really pleased with the ability to get an appointment with very short notice. Once I was able to make an appointment within 2 days, and another time I secured an appointment in about a week. Also, each time I've been seen, albeit early in the a.m., the appointments have been punctual. No waiting around leaving plenty of time to move on with my day. I also like that they have a lab that shares the lobby, making it a breeze to get your blood drawn after your appointment. I was able to knock out the appointment and the blood draw in no time. What I haven't been too fond of is the follow up on referrals. I was told that I would receive a follow up call about two referrals that were placed during my initial visit, but they never called. Thankfully, and more importantly, the referrals did get placed, so all I have to do is follow up with the referral locations. The other slight concern I had was that the NP that saw me during my initial visit, didn't really provide a very caring or investigative experience. What I mean is, it was more of a touch and go or check the boxes kind of interaction. To be fair though it was an initial visit and they are a traveling NP, so they sort of mentioned that I probably wouldn't see them again after the blood work. However, I did end up seeing them on my second visit, which was what I would call a more thorough and patient interaction, which I very much appreciated. Thank you for that. Thank you to everyone at HFHC!!! It's a tough job, in a tough economy, in a world full of madness, so I'm thankful for being able to have healthcare and get some relief. Don't forget to tell your loved ones that you love them. Be safe out there y'all.

The staff doesn't check on the patients because they're too busy in the hallways laughing and scrolling on their cell phones. Some have a hostile attitude, unfriendly attitude. Don't know about you, but I want people with positive attitudes around me during my healing. They made my family member so sick. The food was so repulsive that they would rather not eat, and it seemed each time they did eat, they would get sick hours later and food would not stay down. My family member began to experience shortness of breath. Turns out they had fluid building up in their lungs and pneumonia had developed. These people did nothing more than put him on oxygen without even checking to see what's wrong with him, a band-aid over pneumonia, if you will. The place looks pretty dirty. I didn't ever see housekeeping come into my family member's room. They put plastic bags over the vomit bins for patients and will leave the fluids that have been coughed up from the day before and napkins, they don't dispose of them to try and maintain sanitary practices. Also the parking lot is pretty small and there are 2 designated spots for employee of the month. There was no street parking and no spaces open (interesting because all visitors spaces were taken but no visitors seen) and I parked in the employee of the month space. Some lady pulled in a work van and was trying to block me in the parking lot when I was leaving, incredibly unprofessional. The priority is patients and visitors who come to visit their sick relatives, not staff, I'm sorry. I fear for the health and safety of the patients here as far as the food, cleanliness, negligence to health care and hygiene. These people seem to be lacking in many aspects, and this facility as a whole. This place is insufficient in providing a healing environment for its patients. I know these places are not perfect but this place is definitely low. God help these poor patients in their care.
