One of the best things about being in a small town is checking out the local bakery. Should you find your self in Yarrawonga, Coopers is sure to satisfy.
Here you'll find both your traditional pies (beef,steak and onion, sausage rolls) but also the more 'upmarket' variety (Thai pork red curry) not to forget the more tacky variety ('The Fev' - an ex-AFL player who now plays a few games up here).
I tried the chicken, bacon and sweet corn pie. The filling all worked well together and the pastry was delicate and flaky, just the way it should be.
Coopers also offers a wide range of pre-made sandwiches/focaccia/bagels and a wide range of gluten free options.
Unfortunately, I wasn't on time to try the breakfast menu, but am told the vanilla pancakes (yes real vanilla beans) are to die for.
Coffee "happy hour" between 2.30 - 3.30 offers $2.50 coffees.
