We had been having issues with our garage door for probably 6 - months, and I could never figure…read moreout how to fix the problem myself. Lucky for us I saw a Garage Door Rescue truck in the parking lot at Publix. I called the number 251-621-6622 and spoke to the owner (she owns it with her husband Brandon - I cannot remember her name.) She was absolutely fantastic. She asked me questions and insisted I check to make sure there was not an issue I could fix myself, even telling me what to look for and told me to cancel the service call I had scheduled if I was able to get it working. When I scheduled the appointment I was given NOT a 4 hour window, or a 3 hour window, or a 2 hour window. I was given a 1 hour window and Brandon showed up right on time. He told me exactly what he was going to do and what I could expect. He was able to fix the problem and it still be covered by the $100 service call fee. He also did extra service that was still covered by the initial fee. We were so impressed and please with the service we received. They do a great job. I learned he has been doing this for over 10 years (I believe that is what he said), and his father has been in the business for over 35 years.

Called and had an appointment quickly, very nice people. At the appointment, was a full garage door review, oiled and looked everything over. The door needed some repairs to reduce noise and also needed a new clicker(prior owner did not provide ) bought one on Amazon. Since the Amazon one was fickle and easily "cleared", I also bought one from this company. They programmed all new clickers and cleared the history on my existing garage door. I'm fully happy with the service provided and thght that the price was completely fair. I'm glad to say I found a company that sees a future client and not someone to take advantage of (new home buyer must have $$ )

Contracted with Aaron Trommelen of Specialty Construction to erect a metal carport from a kit I…read morepurchased from a vendor, and build a wooden platform for metal steps to abut to. This was to be shade and shelter from rain for my camper. After some delays ( Aaron seemed to be doing this as a side job and only when not working on his primary projects) the shelter was completed and looks good, sturdy. The project was abandoned when the camper was backed under the shelter and I went out of town for a month. Yes I know I should not have paid in full until the job was comlplete. I did however pay in full and gave him $3,400- $200 more than I agreed to because I felt the job was good and I trusted him. The platform was never completed by him although upon contact when I got back he said he would. I also discovered the shelter leaks significantly. Eight weeks after the original shelter was completed I finally paid someone else to move the partially constructed platform in place and complete it. The shelter still leaks. It seems Aaron Trommelen is now working out of town. The least he could have done is let me know what was happening. I feel I was very understanding of all of the delays but in the end he stopped responding. Aaron Trommelen of Specialty Construction is not a man of his word and not to be trusted.

One stated their quote and it wouldn't be until Monday, another wouldn't even quote it over the phone (absolutely a "no" for us) and the final call was with Charlies Garage Doors. My husband texted me the cost and stated he'd be there tomorrow am between 7-8 if I was good w the reviews as we've been burned before. No worries...This man showed up on time, waited for my husband to move not one vehicle, but five with two having to be jumped off. He replaced both springs and aligned the garage door all in less than 30 minutes. Oh, and he cost less... I don't normally do reviews, but this was worth it! There aren't many trustworthy companies and people with great work ethic anymore, so my husband and I are happy to give a shout out to Charlies!

Garage Door Drama Tumbled home from a two-week vacay…read moreexhausted at midnight, craving my pillow, but my garage door flipped me off and cackled, "Lightning zapped me, sucker!" Total betrayal. Fast forward a few days I dialed A+ Garage Door, and John, the wizard of whoosh, picked up like he was camped by my phone. This was the day after July 4th, a sizzlin' Saturday, and John texts, "15 mins out", so I saved him a lemonade!" He swoops in, defying 101° heat that could bake cookies on the hood of my car. My opener was deader than a disco ball at a funeral, but John, slinging his tools like Wyatt Earp would skillfully sling his six shooter, slapped on a sparkly new garage door opener and new clicker so swanky it could star in a rom-com. He also reprogrammed my old clicker so now I have two! All for just under ~$500! He zipped around like a sugar-rushed chimpanzee, left no mess, and now my garage door slides open smoother than a penguin on ice.
