My reason for giving 3 stars is the billing. I retained Molly with a $7,500 retainer primarily because I expected the case to proceed to an evidentiary hearing. I was not comfortable representing myself at that hearing, so I felt paying the retainer for experienced representation was worth it. When the case ultimately settled before the evidentiary hearing, I was surprised that the entire $7,500 retainer, plus my $150 consultation credit, had been used and that the final invoice still showed an additional $932.50 balance, particularly because the firm represented me for approximately three weeks and substantial case materials already existed when it took over. A substantial portion of the charges related to the Pre-Trial Memorandum, a document of approximately 30 pages. I was billed $4,117.50 for 6.1 hours of reviewing case materials and initially drafting it. I understand the memorandum required legal work, but I came to the firm with my own 30-page opposition already filed, a detailed case summary, and much of the evidence organized by prior counsel. In my opinion, $4,117.50 was excessive for that part of the work. I also disagreed with specific charges, including $61 for a text providing the Zoom link and login information for a hearing, and another $61 charge related to an email the firm acknowledged was sent to me in error. Those charges added to my concerns about the billing. After I raised my concerns, Molly ultimately waived the remaining $932.50 as a courtesy adjustment and closed my account with a $0 balance, which I appreciate. Overall, I'm happy with the case outcome but disappointed with the final cost and billing approach. I recommend that prospective clients discuss billing expectations, communication charges, staffing, and document-drafting costs in detail before retaining the firm.

It was a custody case, and I wasn't In need of IMMEDIATE services . Well, they kept $1,000.00 of my $2500 . And couldn't even tell me what for, they were even unaware of the poor communication between whoever schedules these online interviews and were unaware that someone cancelled it because of Juneteenth ... so when the lady called me , she was under the assumption we still had an appointment, Then... you're supposed to complete an online intake questionnaire.. which is very lengthy... and I never finished it . This ( from what they told me ) had to be done before the online interview can be done. I went there today , and recorded the whole conversation I had. And I was told they charged me because they started my complaint. BUT I NEVER ONCE DISCUSSED MY EXACT COMPLAINT NOR FILED OR FILLED ANYTHING OUT EXPLAINING IT EITHER. Very poor service, only answered my calls before they took my money. I will now have to go through the headache of filing a complaint with the Bar. I called on a Monday and had an appointment for a Tuesday. Staff e-mailed me later that Monday to confirm my scheduled appointment and provide me with paperwork and excellent directions to the office. Upon arrival, I was seen at the scheduled time by Laura Deeter. Laura also works with Clark County Family Court. She listened carefully to our situation and showed genuine concern. when we did not understand certain items, she repeated the information without be condescending. She advised us that she would give us a quick turnaround on the matter, which was very comforting in our high stress case. It was later discovered that our mother had a Springing Durable Power of Attorney in her Will and Trust Paperwork. Laura explained that this would aid us financially but not in a healthcare situation. Though she honestly told us that for now, we would not need a guardianship, this firm as certainly earned my respect and loyalty. I feel 100% faith and trust that this is an honest, genuine group.
