1 Star I've used Cool Drive Car Wash in Oro Valley several times, and unfortunately the owner has repeatedly made me feel rushed to leave. On three separate occasions, after I had only been there for about five minutes washing my car, he approached me and pushed me to hurry up and get out. I'm a paying customer, and I should be able to use the car wash without being pressured or made to feel unwelcome. After this happening three times, it's clear this isn't a one-time misunderstanding. Very disappointing customer service, and I won't be returning. read more

Well-lit in a quiet neighborhood, away from the main road! I bring my own chemicals and cleaning tools so I'm unable to provide a review on what the facility uses. I just come for the clean, spacious, well-lit car wash bays equipped with pressure washers. I suggest using a credit card to pay with because if you use coins, you cannot pause the wash and may end up wasting water/product. I usually stay within budget of $40/below and can comfortably wash my vehicle twice a month. I'm a newb and take 2-3 hours a wash. Seasoned self-washers can probably do it each week given the same amount of money in less time. Four manual car wash bays, one automatic with brushes. I'll add some photos later. read more

Solid and clean!!! I was driving that way my car was dusty and I rinsed it off quickly using a credit card and then I was gone. I will pop by here again if my car is dirty when I'm driving by. I don't think I would go out of my way for it, but I'm inherently lazy. read more

I've been here a couple times it's good for what you're paying for. I usually use it after i've been traveling And want to clean everything out. Both times have been. There's been staff around to help you if you really needed something. I think it's good value for your money You do have to Wipe the car down to get it to dry. I would make sure I had a roll of paper towels or some dry rags to take with you. read more

This car wash is kept clean and organized better than most car washes. I have been coming here for 30 years!

The wash was ok, but the brushes almost ripped off my license plate. Now it's bent and I will have to try to straighten it out. Then l bought a towel which was nice to have available though they're a bit pricey. While drying off, you get overspray from the manual bays. The vacuum bays are tight too. Final recommendation, use the manual bays, bring your own drying towels and go when it's not busy. The picture is after I tried to bend my plate back. read more

The service is fast and the quality is perfect for what the place offers! Love seeing the workers there because they do such a great job with the place! Id say the value is fairly reasonable. Even though i'm sure everyone would prefer a free car wash Great place to go to! read more

Clean, priced well, everything always works and they have great products available, the owner and his son are both always friendly and fun to see and talk too. Highly recommend this place. read more

This is the best and cleanest DYI car wash in ORO Valley and north Tucson. The other best thing is the very attentive owner who is actually onsite most of the daylight hours. I use this place exclusively when I'm in town and only regret there is not one as good in my home town!!! Also, a good bang for the buck because the cleaners and rinses are ALWAYS working unlike others that are always the same no matter what the setting! read more

Easy to use, drive through yourself, just remember to bring your paper towels so that when you're through, you can wipe everything down. The air dryer at the end doesn't do a completely thorough job, but it helps a lot. read more

Love this spot! Away from the Main Street noise. Is always clean and available at all hours of day or night. Owners are usually around during the day and always happy to assist if needed. read more

Was legit just looking for an automatic drive through car wash. It took my money, flashed the light and we spent the next 5 minutes going forward and backing up according to a light under a mist of water. The brushes never moved. read more

This is such a great carwash! Logan and his Dad Jeff, are the owners and always there to be very helpful. The water they use is TRULY soft so does not leave spots. It is extremely clean. Paid $6 for a great wash....Will be back for sure read more

A hidden gem! I like this car wash compared to near-by competitors because it's a great value. They have DIY stations along with an automatic car wash. It can be unstaffed at times but there is a Dropbox where you can leave comments! Once the automatic car wash didn't start (don't tell my husband but I think it was user error on his part!) so we filled out a form and we were issued a refund on our card no problem. read more

Great Carwash. Very clean , everything works great, and good value. The owner is on site daily to assist customer with their needs. The Automatoc carwash works Great. The vacuums worked as if they were brand new. Best Carwash in Tucson. I would highly recommend Cool Drive Carwash. read more

I am so happy to have found this car wash in spite of its somewhat obscure location. It was fun to listen to the oldies while I washed and dried my car. I am going to use it whenever my car needs cleaning. read more

Well maintained, owner always on site during the weekend, highly recommend this car wash.

My complaint is simple. The payment system is not user friendly. I was trying to spend $3 .00 but got charged for $5.00 because the payment using a credit card was unclear. Then there is a token system that also requires some studying to figure out. I missed just being able to put in dollar bills rather than using the credit card payment. I won't be back. Great place to wash your car. Facilities are clean, everything works and reasonably priced.

None of the vacuum machines worked and one stole my money and the other one was barely working.

They left my 2014 Lexus in great shape. Not easy with two dogs :). Polite, clean, safe environment convenient to shops. I'll be back!

When you turn it to stop, it keeps running and always over charges my card. It'll show up on statement at one price and then the charge goes up later. read more

I've been taking my brand-new Jetta to this self-service car wash for a nice bath, twice since I drove it off the showroom floor in Phoenix two months ago. It's very well-maintained. Because this is a self service car wash, obviously, you have to do all work yourself. But don't let that intimidate you; the equipment is very easy to use. There's pictures on the dial so you know what to expect. They also offer machines that help you keep the interior of your car looking its best. Both times I've brought my car here, it looks just like it did in the dealer parking lot; absolutely amazing! I've never used the interior cleaning machines. I prefer to to detail the interior at home. I plan on continuing to wash my cat here. read more

Great place to clean your vehicles. I can't find a number to contact the owner to let him know he is losing money with probably most credit card transactions. I have washed three vehicles over the last two weeks with two different credit cards and in two different bays. All three times the card reader said I was charged between $6 and $7 dollars. When I just reviewed my monthly statements, I was only billed $3.00 all three times. I don't know how many cars use the self service bays per day, but losing $4 + on each car adds up to slot of lost revenue for the owner. read more

Cool Drive Car Wash on Oracle is now under new ownership. We were disappointed by the changes. The soap brush is now smaller and with fewer suds making it difficult to clean the car. The anti-spotting rinse was "broken" in all the bays. The machines now cut off the wash when $10 is reached so that we had to restart mid-wash. Under the previous ownership, the final charge on our credit card would be $9.00, under the new management it was $20.00. read more

Beware of the drive thru car wash!! Says $8, but it will show $10 taken out of your account. BUT it will just show $10 as pending and only $8 will actually be taken out. The owner informed me of this after I left a comment card. He was pretty cool though. He contacted me that day and explained it to me, I checked my bank account later that day and the pending $10 was gone and only the $8 was taken out just as promised. I really appreciated him calling to explain that. Overall I like this place. It's my go to car wash, and it's rarely too busy. read more

Really like this car wash. The best self car wash! The car wash is clean, the owner is awesome! New brushes, equipment works well and friendly environment. Owner is always on site and eager to help and resolve issues of any arise. Music is always playing and the owner is always cleaning and keeping place pristine. read more

I love coming to this little car wash near my house. Has everything you could imagine whether you want to hand wash your car or use the automatic was that starts at just $4! (Prices are $4, $5, $6 and $8 for the auto-wash.) I once used the vending machine and item got stuck. Went and told the guy who owns it and he gave me $5 after I told him what had happened. I will always go to this car wash because of this. Great customer service. All in all, if you need a quick was in North Tucson, this is the place to go! read more

This car wash is always clean. They take care of the facility so you don't have to worry about scratching your car with the brushes. They use tokens to keep theft low. They lighting is great so you will feel safe coming here at all hours. All over a great place wash your vehicle. This is one of my favorites. read more

This review is for the manual stalls, as I never use automatic bays. A basic, functional car wash, and if you are on this end of town, you don't have too many options. Decent price and time. But what separates a great car-wash from an OK one is the pre-soak and spot-free rinse. The pre-soak should be very concentrated, and come out at a rate fast enough so that you gotta keep moving while applying it(as you're on the clock). Then you can go straight to the high speed rinse, as high-speed soap is kind of pointless then(and in general, unless your car is extremely filthy). But this car wash had a very diluted pre-soak, and it came out at a very slow rate. Fortunately, the brushes were quite clean, so I made up time by brushing the weak pre-soak a bit. The spot-free rinse was similarly very slow. I'll probably go back until I've used up my tokens, but I will definitely look for a better one on my route to work later on. read more

it i a great little carwash. very clean and everything works great. i several reviews of people complaining about their card being over charged. if they would read direction at each pay station it says when done push the button to stop payment. if you do not it will run to $ 10.00. it is clearly marked. so its not fair to fault the carwash because people dont read the directions..i highly recommend cool drive carwash. read more

It's just sort of your basic car wash. I can't say that the automatic bay did a very good job of cleaning the back of my car. It also didn't really dry my car that way we should have. A little pricey, but it got the job (mostly done). I can't say that I'll go out of my way to come back. read more

Been going here for at least 17 years! Was happy to see that you could now use a card in the self serve bays vs. getting tokens. Did this last week only to find that $10 was charged for a minute and a half spray wash. I'm in the wrong business if a minute and a half is worth $10. Tried calling and no answer or ability to leave a message. Buyer beware. Bring your quarters or use the token machine!! read more

The drive through car wash ripped a piece of plastic molding from my 2017 Toyota Sienna. The molding was located on the back hatch above the license plate. The spinning brushes pulled and broke the molding in half. The other half is still on the vehicle. It cost me $300 to get the molding painted and replaced. I will never use the drive through unless it is brushless. read more

I went last night paid ten bucks and the thing failed and I'm trying to call somebody there so I can get my car washed and no one answers

I have tried to reach someone to no luck. No working phone number, have left info at location to be contacted and nothing. Last Saturday was in the drive through car wash and the machine stopped working while my car was still in there. Could not get my car out. Had to press on the peddle and now the whole side of my car is messed up. No one will contact me back!!! Please reach out to me. Next is certified letter. Beware read more

I was a little confused about what to do when I arrived, so I ended up driving a circle around the place first. It wasn't clear which line offered which services for what price. Once I got into a line, the workers were very helpful in directing me, smiling, and making me feel overall very welcome. Even the cheapest service had two workers hand drying the windshield, and I was satisfied with the resulting cleanliness of my car. Will be coming back for my car cleaning needs, especially looking forward to trying out the internal cleaning. read more

Purchased car wash tokens great value unexpected I think $12 worth of coins for $10. When I go to use shampoo machine not working correctly, try to vacuum out car also not working. Wasted $3 just to have wet carpet and dirty carpet in car. Comment/refund box was ripped apart with nothing to fill out for refunding information. Save your money just go to a a big establishment and spend the $5 at least you know your car will be finished correctly. read more
