OH MY GOSH!!!! So, I had purchased a house that had 3 porches that were literally falling apart and…read morenot safe to walk on. Well, two were not safe, and the 3rd, in the carport was icky looking AND made the carport too narrow to pull my car all the way up, so I wanted to do something, but i wasnt sure what. I found Alpha & Omega Construction on Yelp -and they had great reviews, so I contacted them. They responded right away and the next day Sam came out to look at what I needed and to give me an estimate for the work. He spent probably 2 hours looking over the decks and discussing with me and measuring and then left and said he would email me the estimates. I was really nervous because I knew that a project like this would be very expensive! a couple days later, his Dad, Alex, sent over the estimate. It was a great estimate, very fair pricing and so I accepted it. They started on the day I needed them to, however when they got here, Id had an idea about the carport porch. Originally they were going to take about 5" out and make it narrower, but I asked if they could instead pivot the whole thing so it faced the other way. Alex said, yep they can do that and gave me a good price on doing that. So then they got to work to disassemble both the front and back porches,. But then it started pouring down rain, so they said they would be back the next day. They showed up the next day and literally built both the porches completely, other than the railings!! And then the 3rd day, they finished those up and started on the carport. I didnt think they were going to get it done, but they did!! They worked until almost 7pm JUST so I wouldnt be left with an unfinished porch. And I cant say enough about what BEAUTIFUL work they do!! My porches look SOOOOO wonderful and are strong and sturdy and the little touches, like rounding the tops of the posts, make it look absolutely stunning!! I would call them again in a heartbeat!! I was thrilled to discover that they also paint houses AND all the little repair stuff that needs to be done (window trims etc) they are able to do too!!! Alex and Sam are the kind of people that you REALLY want taking care of your woodworking needs at your house! It took about 3 weeks to finish. Brandon, Landon and Brian were always on time and ready to work. They work great as a team and did an amazing job (as you can see from the pictures). The deck is made of Ipe (epay). It is the best wood out there. We were very concerned about our German Shepherds scratching the wood with their nails. Carl recommended Ipe because it's so hard and he was right. No scratches, no dents, even insects can't penetrate and it's maintenance free.
