Unfortunately, I was 3 months postpartum when I had to hire a family attorney here, dealing with a narcissistic "co-parent" and they did nothing to protect me. They assigned me an attorney who had no court experience and that specific attorney placed her biased opinion on my case (her own daddy issues she talked me about and made decisions off her opinion). I should have fired her when I had the chance. This was not made known to me until after the case! I was so confused and 6 years later I still feel like justice was ripped away from me because of them mishandling my case. They didn't even get my date of birth correct on the paperwork! They acted like I should know exactly what to do while trying to defend myself in a traumatic situation. If an attorney is NOT going to advise you in the law and NOT work for you in your corner, they should pick a different career.
