I can't complain too much about the car I bought, after all most newish cars are fairly good nowadays, but the service was appaling. The car I bought for £3500 had a drive belt rattle and squeak which he assured me would be fixed before delivery,it wasn't. I took the car back for repair and a week later got it back not fixed. I took it to my local garage who sorted it for £40 in a morning. If you sell a car and promise to fix a fault before delivery and offer a 3 month warranty then £40 is not much to spend to maintain a good reputation. However it gets worse. When I viewed the car there was a brand new tyre on a brand new rim in the spare wheel well, presumably new with the car and unused by the previous owner. About 2 months after buying the car I happened to look at it again, the new tyre had been replaced by a barely legal 2nd hand tyre with a visible puncture repair. I don't know if this swap took place before purchase or when it was back for repair but still this sucks and is dishonest. Basically a good vehicle but for the sake of a small repair under warranty and the cost of a tyre he has scammed me and bought a poor review. I should add that the car was not a particular bargin, the price I paid was well above book so there was plenty of profit in it for him anyway. read more
