The people here are really kind and welcoming, and I love that there isn't much pressure associated with their services. (No public tithe, and they don't ask you to turn and greet each other, my personal least favorite.) I really like the main pastor- he is funny, talks in a real way (not a preachy way), and aims to connect with the audience. Other big bonus is the donuts here are FIREEEEEE, not gonna lie I come some weeks just because I want that donut. They yelled at me for hours to "admit my sins and pray for for forgiveness" I had no idea what they were talking about, I was crying and begging them to stop. I tried to run to a phone and call my parents, they tackled me and locked me in a room with a Bible until the end of the school day. They had a meeting with my parents and said if I refused an exorcism they would expel me. Fortunately my parents were religious but not to that extreme and removed me from that school. There were other incidents, I once got my pants wet during recess because it was raining and they forced me to kneel at my desk the rest of the day. These people are insane, do not send your children here.

The Kindergartener loves his teacher too. He is learning so much and becoming a very inquisitive child. He is making great friends with the other children and learning how to talk with adults. It's wonderful that both kids are encouraged to interact with God on a personal level every day. They are asked to memorize scripture and pray regularly. Eastern Hills Christian Academy is an amazing place where my children are safe. They are learning every day and are being taught by people who want the same things for my children that I do. I never doubt that the people who work there love their jobs.

The middle school encourages the students to take responsibility for their own learning. Service projects and mission trips help the students learn to love others and get outside their comfort zones. We were not notified of this accident until my son started throwing up & when I got the call the secretary told me he had a stomach ache & was throwing up. They were trying to hide the fact that he had a concussion. Head injuries are very serious! When we spoke to the principal about this her response was "he's an athlete. So we didn't think twice about". Another injury happened, where he sliced his palm open with a pencil & again no call was made! I found out when I picked up from school & was told they couldn't touch the wound & had him rinse his hand with water. If there would've been a call (like any other school does when there is a injury) I would've left work to bring him supplies to properly clean the wound. The staff there is super rude, there is maybe 5 teachers that are friendly. The secretary/athletic director has no sense in how to run the athletic program & safety again is a issue when she let's first graders play in sports with 4th graders. She will just glare at you & won't speak & that's how majority of the staff is. The second grade teacher Ms Hamby is awful! She has no control over her class, she will not communicate with parents & if your child isn't a staff members child she will definitely have it out for your child. They continue to raise tuition every year but nothing changes, the lunch program continues to get more expensive but the servings are smaller, the one thing I have noticed is parents become "teachers" & they will either get free tuition or drastically reduced so that to me explains why they continue to raise tuition. Who knows if these parents have teachers degrees/certifications, my son's computer "teacher" had them watch videos on how to make PB&J sandwiches, that's not computer class to me. You pay alot to send your child to a private school & to have the staff not care about safety & also just the straight up rudeness from them especially since they preach about Christianity & kindness it's not ok. It is not a large school with a maximum of 12 students per class, which I find to be amazing. The teachers are able to give students more attention which helps establish positive relationships and build trust in the classroom. There is also a lot of parental involvement and lots of fun activities that the school offers through PTFC. If you want a small Christian school that has sports, fellowship with families and high academic standards I highly recommend this school.
