Safety is definitely a issue with this school. My student slipped & hit his head & was sent back to…read moreclass. We were not notified of this accident until my son started throwing up & when I got the call the secretary told me he had a stomach ache & was throwing up. They were trying to hide the fact that he had a concussion. Head injuries are very serious! When we spoke to the principal about this her response was "he's an athlete. So we didn't think twice about". Another injury happened, where he sliced his palm open with a pencil & again no call was made! I found out when I picked up from school & was told they couldn't touch the wound & had him rinse his hand with water. If there would've been a call (like any other school does when there is a injury) I would've left work to bring him supplies to properly clean the wound. The staff there is super rude, there is maybe 5 teachers that are friendly. The secretary/athletic director has no sense in how to run the athletic program & safety again is a issue when she let's first graders play in sports with 4th graders. She will just glare at you & won't speak & that's how majority of the staff is. The second grade teacher Ms Hamby is awful! She has no control over her class, she will not communicate with parents & if your child isn't a staff members child she will definitely have it out for your child. They continue to raise tuition every year but nothing changes, the lunch program continues to get more expensive but the servings are smaller, the one thing I have noticed is parents become "teachers" & they will either get free tuition or drastically reduced so that to me explains why they continue to raise tuition. Who knows if these parents have teachers degrees/certifications, my son's computer "teacher" had them watch videos on how to make PB&J sandwiches, that's not computer class to me. You pay alot to send your child to a private school & to have the staff not care about safety & also just the straight up rudeness from them especially since they preach about Christianity & kindness it's not ok. I would not recommend this school, one star given simply because he was learning about God

It is not a large school with a maximum of 12 students per class, which I find to be amazing. The teachers are able to give students more attention which helps establish positive relationships and build trust in the classroom. There is also a lot of parental involvement and lots of fun activities that the school offers through PTFC. If you want a small Christian school that has sports, fellowship with families and high academic standards I highly recommend this school.

Reposting since my review seems to magically disappear everytime: DO NOT SEND YOUR BLACK CHILDREN…read moreHERE. PLEASE. All of my siblings and I were students for years and the most consistent theme we encountered was just racism. I dealt with DAILY racism from the students (ranging from making fun of my family or heritage or hair or skin when the lights turned off to just straight up calling me a N****r) that went unchecked by administration who liked calling the incidences "he said she said situations". I'm Nigerian, and I was called MamaKenya and Jujumama Gumbo for years. I dealt with way too many racist teachers too, faculty members and substitutes, especially my sophomore year of highschool, where my white male middle aged English teacher told me he would put a bag over my head and sell me if I got the chance (I eventually made a habit of walking out of classes when this happened when I figured out I didn't have to sit there and take the abuse). The same year, our NOTORIOUSLY RACIST HISTORY TEACHER SPRONG, who liked referring to black people and native Americans as darkies and r**skins started a whole tirade of drama with me when I "spoke out of turn" when he said Obama was out of his "cotton picking mind". I walked out of the room without a word, only to find myself in the principals office later that day because I was "acting like an animal" and "making grotesque sounds in class". Of course I was branded as the dramatic liar, and told by the principal they had to "support our teachers", the same line they told me after a substitute teacher who went on to try and bully my brother as well tried to get me expelled for "hyperaggressive behavior" and "threatening him in class" after I "gave him a dirty look" (blatantly lying, I wasn't even looking at him while he was talking ) while he was giving an announcement. I'm sorry 16 year old 120lb presence was so threatening to someone who spent years abroad with the military. That was real cute. Before he left the school, my brother was calling me multiple times a week during the school day to tell me about how he was being bullied and called a n***er everyday and I will never forgive this school for the extent they let racism bury itself even deeper into the very foundation of the school's culture. Years later, my sisters are still coming home telling me about how little white boys at school follow them around spewing the racist nonsense their parents teach them at home. With no consequence of course, because they're on the same page as many faculty members. And please, don't let me get started on the sexism that gets taught in class. Look below at the review detailing a teacher telling us marital rape didn't exist. He has told every class since 2015 the same thing, and trust me that wasn't the only insane thing we heard in class or chapel. "Purity Week" itself was sexist hell. My best HCS memory was leaving. It may have Christian school in the name, but the experience was very much the opposite.
