The day prior we ran into some issues working on coffee shops around town due to wifi issues or limited hours so we decided to check it out. Booking a day pass on their website was super easy and was only $25 each. Pretty affordable if you ask me. I was able to walk from my hotel which means parking was no biggie for me. That said, there is a parking garage under the building. To get to the 29th floor where the office is, you must first check in at the desk on the main level (2nd). From there you are guided towards the elevators and to the space. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Once they got us checked in, we took in the beautiful view of the city, connected to the wifi, and got to work. They had phone booths available for private calls as well as a conference room for us to work out of together. Water and fruit was complimentary and they had snacks for purchase. We ordered lunch from the brewery next door instead, but it was nice to know. The bathrooms and shared space were extremely clean and well kept. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and I highly recommend booking a pass if you're in town like I was. I've driven past this large, factory-looking structure, since my childhood! I remember thinking this building looks a bit eerie, abandoned, sort of out of space in the middle of the city, right on Main Street. Never did I know till this week any of the following: The Tri Main Building in Buffalo, was originally built by Henry Ford's favorite architect. It was one of the first factories outside of Detroit where Ford would build his iconic cars. During WW2, Bell Aircraft used the building to develop the top secret P-59, American jet fighter. You can see this aircraft in the Smithsonian Museum in DC now! Although Bell's plant was just minutes down the road, the Tri Main offered some advantages for the discrete development of a new type of airplane. One, the multi story building was built with massive supports to carry the weight of Ford's auto manufacturing equipment- building an airplane would require such construction. Two, the site was far enough removed from the factory to avert attention and railroad tracks running adjacent to the building would make transporting goods in and out relatively easy while maintaining a low profile. In the event the Germans ever developed the ability to fly their bombers to the US, the roof was also disguised with small buildings to appear as though it was not a manufacturing facility. A side rail was constructed during the war adjacent to the building and holes busted out of the wall below grade where the main train tracks ran parallel to the building. From this discrete location, the P-59 was loaded onto a train parked beside the building in the middle of the night and secretly snuck out to California for flight testing. Some of the windows were painted over with black paint to keep prying eyes from seeing what was going on inside as well as the siderail that allowed the traincar to pull up close. Originally set-up on the second floor, the project apparently eventually enveloped the entire building. Most residents/tenants of the building today are likely unaware of its' past! The Buffalo Arts Studio is located on the 5th floor. A wonderful space for artists to work and teach art to the public. There are several other businesses and even an occupational school in this building today. Journeys End Refugee Services houses their main office here. Due to COVID-19 the office is operating remotely for now. This is certainly adaptive-reuse and mixed-use of a historical structure. Six floors and 575,000 total square feet! Huge! The lobby has some interesting art pieces. Generally a very nice industrial/art vibe. You can see the original floor has markings from long ago. Nearby is the People's Park, a small community garden/green space on Main near Jewett. In the past, several special events have been hosted at the Tri-Main Center like art shows, computer and gaming events. Mundo Images art and photography business is very cool and it's housed here. The LunchBox cafe and catering is also in operation weekdays. All worth checking out! Don't you love Buffalo? I do!

It was the annual New Year's party for our running club. The appetizer table was a huge display of a variety of cubed cheeses, toast and crackers, olives, and some grapes and blueberries. The dinner buffet had a nice tossed salad, focaccia and butter, pasta in a cheesy red sauce, haricots vert, chicken in an artichoke and onion sauce with melted mozzarella cheese on top, and roast beef au jus with great horseradish!

I very often attend the Pist n Broke car show on the Wirlitzer grounds in the summer, but as I'd…read morenever really attended anything inside, I felt I was unequipped to give a review. This all changed on the 22nd of December because they hosted an incredible market there that day. The name of it escapes me, but it was a creepy Christmas extravaganza! Right up my alley. I had so much fun talking to and buying from the vendors and spent way too much on presents for loved ones. It was two floors, but the elevator was easily accessible, which is a nice touch for us disabled folks. The upstairs was just as lovely. The staff was incredibly helpful and didn't appear to hate their jobs, which counts for something. The smiled as I got my drink at the bar, they smiled when I was on the first floor and needed to throw something out, and they even smiled as I walked in. They all do a great job there, especially with the place so clean and decorated for the holidays. I had so much fun here. I shopped. I drank. Heck, I even sat with Krampus. Merry Creepmas. 5 stars

This one is on Grand Island and I made the reservation from the moment I walked in. I was greeted by Kristy who greeted us warmly, and went way above and beyond to make us. Feel welcome and comfortable. She assisted us with coffee and tea and places to order lunch, and generally just made a workday away from our home. Bass a wonderful experience. The Office space was clean, nicely appointed, very accessible, and had clean large accessible ladies room. It was easily accessible by quick UBER ride from our hotel. I would highly recommend the HQ, Graham Island, and and particularly grateful to Kristie for making our stay very comfortable.

It is important that we built up a people who know how to utilize their own voice and can be transparent and honest when something makes them feel a certain type of way and or when wanting to express their genuine desires, needs, and goals without minimizing themselves...some may be able to express their wants/needs well while others may need additional effort from others; no matter the situation at hand it shouldn't be degrading someones abilities...Asking for help shouldn't be taboo and should be worked at to the best of everyone as a collaborative effort, when needed..Also, there needs to be consistency throughout your organizations office locations no matter their location with how professional the staff present themselves, keeping lines of communication available, and maintaining healthy boundaries..I'm mentioning some key things here and others I have told a few at Belmont Housing Resources for WNY directly. Its not fair for the general public especially those who come in need of your services to be under served because staff is not prepared and are treating the humane social and economic well-being of individuals like it's not a priority but rather as if like they have to clash into some kind of bidding contest fight over what should be their right of entitlement...which in some cases can lead to further harm. You can walk in any time to access any of their services, but if you're coming in to talk to a HCV housing specialist about your rental assistant, calling ahead is always greatly appreciated. There's free parking behind the building and it's less than a block from the Summer/Best metro station. Come right in, sign in at the security desk, and the two nicest receptionists you will ever meet will take care of you. Housing Resource Center - two rooms of computers, exclusive apartment listings, telephones and a dedicated full-time staff member, Synta, to help people look for housing. Synta is knowledgeable about emergency housing, accessible housing, senior housing, family housing, or whatever you may need. When I volunteer in landlord-tenant court, I refer my clients, who have just been evicted from the apartments, to Belmont's Housing Resource Center. The best case scenario for my clients is usually that they will get a little more time to before the marshalls remove them, but that doesn't change the fact that they are on the brink of homelessness. Being about to refer them to Belmont makes a huge difference in how both the client and I feel walking out of the courthouse. Foreclosure Counseling - Belmont offers FREE foreclosure counseling for homeowners that are at risk of or in the midst of a foreclosure. I don't think there is another agency in town offer this service for free and Belmont has some of the only certified foreclosure counselors in the state. Colden and Anthony do a great job and have relationships with the folks doing loan modifications at various institutions. Homeownership Programs - Belmont has a FREE home-buyer education workshop which will satisfy the requirement that many banks have for participation in first-time homebuyer programs. Don't go paying for a class somewhere else because the trainers at Belmont are incredible and have ton of experience. They can also help you with matched-saving accounts for buying a house or starting a small business. Property Management - Belmont manages quite a few affordable housing properties throughout WNY including senior housing, family housing, and housing for adults with disabilities.

There is all sorts of interesting stuff in it, including a dog grooming place, a haircutting place, a really nice gym, a massage studio, a place for a quick breakfast or lunch, a nice high-end restaurant. There's also plenty of offstreet parking for the tenants. It isn't covered. There one and two bedroom apartments here. The way they reuse the reclaim space is really nice. The spreads included a chopped olive tapas, a apricot mostarda and a caramelized onion dish. These could be enjoyed on the toast points or along with the roasted garlic goat cheese. There was also a cash bar. The event was a way for several merchants to display their wares, among them Blue Table Chocolates, Tommyrotter Distillery, Rebel Ride and several artisans. The wait staff was great, replenishing the various platters and serving trays of tasty mini-potato pancakes and boneless chicken wing bites throughout the evening. They also picked up plates, cans and bottles, taking them back to the kitchen for disposal vs. there being many unsightly trash cans throughout the room. This also added to the event, making the room more attractive.

The apartment is in a safe, quiet community and although we are close to traffic and the airport it is still very quiet. Management is fantastic, fast to respond, organized and efficient. Plus, the location is fantastic, very close to lots of stores and restaurants and we can easily walk to the golf dome! We would highly recommend Coventry green!
