We were delighted to realize the experience included a 1 hr of private spa time prior to massage. Was absolutely delightful break from traveling for a few weeks. All pools and features were thoroughly explained, spa was immaculately clean, relaxing, and even better in real life than in photos. Highly recommend! It is an unbelievable find!

I was surprised to see the spa attendants dressed in white roman styled attire and it added to the mystique of this place. The staff was friendly and welcoming. There are 3 choice of services here: baths, baths and massage, or baths, massage and tapas. Being Evora has plenty restaurants I choose the middle. Glad to see they insisted everyone showers first! Locker rooms are a bit cramped but have private showers and everything you need. They schedule plenty of time to enjoy the baths before and after your massage. Massage was exceptional, my therapist knew all the right spots. Between the detoxifying effects of the water and the massage I was feeling incredibly tranquil and relaxed. Don't miss this spa. Definitly do the cold bath, just go for it! Also make a late appointment. The spa stays open until 10pm and it's the perfect ending to the day.

How does floating in a space pod of warm salty water in total darkness and quietness sounds to you?…read more Scary? Fun? If it's the latter, you may want to give this a try! Epsom salt increases the density of water, so you'll float without drowning. Supposedly the lack of outside stimuli will allow you to totally relax. Moreover, your muscles will be relaxed in the quasi weightlessness. When I found that this place costs almost half of similar places in U.S. I figure it's a nice item to add on my agenda. The spa has only two floating rooms, so be sure to make reservations ahead of time. They also offer massages and stuff. Staff is very nice, both when I called for reservation and when I got there. We were given slippers and tea as we checked in, then led into our rooms. The dimly lit room has the space pod in the center, and a shower in the corner. After shower you can get into the pod. The controls for light and music are located near your feet. Earplugs and towels are provided. Be very careful not to get any water into your eyes and mouth - not pleasant at all!! If you have done meditation or yoga, you definitely will have a easier time quieting your mind, and not going crazy about having nothing to do for 45 mins. It's an interesting experience to be just floating, though I didn't relax as much as I expected. The problem is: breathing. You don't usually hear your own breathing. But try covering your ears with your hands and breath. No matter how lightly you breath, there's noise of air moving through. If you breath very shallowly you can almost be totally quiet, but then it doesn't help you relax - long, deep breaths do, but then they are LOUD. i didn't quite figure out this part, and I would have enjoyed the float a lot more. Slowly the light is turned on, to let you know it's time to climb out of the tub. Afterwards, we were led to the relaxation room, where we could sit back and enjoy some tea.
