Taxes and payroll are the storylines from which nightmares are created! Mosaic Business Services…read morehas decided to make their life's work to make taxes and payroll less scary for all of us. I have worked alongside of Mosaic for over 10 years now and experienced their magic at work. I have watched them successfully navigate complex small business payroll batches. I have watched them respond to the IRS audit notices. I have watched them file simple tax returns. I have watched them work with small business clients and help them navigate toward their next big goals. Their office is conveniently located downtown San Luis Obispo with plenty of parking for clients. A tip for those who want to hire a tax professional...don't wait to do it. The earlier you do it, the better the chance that you will be able to have a calm sit down meeting and not a last minute tax scramble!!!

HOWEVER The different times I have come to rely upon this office for tax matters and consultation over the past 5-6 years, I have left with an impression that my business wasn't big enough or my matters not sufficiently important. AND the cost is twice what my other CPA charges for filing simple business taxes. Funny, I just received a form letter citing that they (this agency) "will no longer be able to continue rendering accounting services" CanNOT recommend in good conscience. Am giving three stars because I'm in a magnanimous mood. Have a nice day.

I first called Bruce to get his input on my tax returns, and how to organize my business expenses. After speaking with him for 20 minutes, I decided to schedule a meeting-glad I did. He provided the feedback I needed, was easy to work with, and responded lighting fast! The experience was great-I dropped off my packet of information, emailed a few other items that were needed, and within a couple of days he sent me the completed state/federal returns for me to sign! I've never had my taxes done so quickly; it was nice receiving my tax refund checks before most people filed their returns! I've enjoyed working with Bruce, and look forward to many more years of service. Friendly, fast, thorough, and service fee's were less than previous accountants-awesome!

The owner comes off as a caring, empathetic, compassionate person, but in reality she is just a salesman who wants your money. I have witnessed her charge a client over 8,000 dollars a week. And you know what you get? You get some college kid, to come into your house, and boss you around, and sit on there rear ends and write notes. You are treated terribly. All you are to them is a $$$$ symbol. They will drain you IRA's or other savings accounts. Before even considering this company you should try looking for another business who will do it for less. DHC takes advantage of the elderly and will suck up every dollar leaving you with anxiety and worry about your other finances.

I am so glad I hired this company! I had a room full of books and old ugly furniture, and I'd been…read moretossing miscellaneous unused stuff in it, too. It was deep in dust. Jana and her helpers took out a good bit of trash, took a lot of stuff away to be recycled or reused, and got it clean. She moved the furniture around to make the room look much nicer, and fifty percent bigger too. They cleaned up my dusty books and organized miscellaneous objects, and I'm just delighted. Moreover, Jana knows a lot about local businesses and services, and gave me lots of good advice about how to get various things done. We aren't quite finished. She is finding appropriate frames for my pictures and I'm looking forward to having her help me arrange them--she has a much better eye than I do. Jana and her helpers were pleasant to work with and careful about time.

I originally hired Jana to clean and organize my daughters dorm room. What I didn't realize at the…read moretime was that we were about to receive so much more than a reset of her space. As we worked together, Jana's experience with executive functioning and neurodivergence became evident. Through conversations and observation, she gently helped me recognize that my daughter might be struggling with more than just organization. With Jana's guidance, we were able to get my daughter properly assessed and begin understanding what was really going on. From there, Jana stepped in with structure and consistency. She didn't just clean -- she created systems. She developed chore schedules, helped my daughter build daily routines, and kept her accountable with check-ins and weekly visits. She helped her stay on time for work, maintain her living space, go grocery shopping responsibly, monitor spending, and even order the items she needed to stay organized and functional. What makes Jana different is that this was never meant to be permanent. Everything she put into place was intentional and transitional. Her goal was not to create dependence, but independence. She provided temporary, structured support so she could learn the skills and confidence to manage life on her own. Jana is diligent, knowledgeable, and incredibly compassionate. She understands executive functioning challenges in a practical, real-world way and meets people where they are -- while steadily guiding them forward. What began as organizing a dorm room became a turning point for our family. I am deeply grateful for her expertise and support. She helped me more than she'll ever know and she changed our lives for the better. Kristen
