I went to Contour Medical in Nov. 2023 and made a purchase and was given a bonus credit for making the purchase and bringing in a gift for the needy. I was never told of any terms and conditions about using the credits. I then had a laser treatment that was supposed to continue improving my skin. I did not receive any benefit from the treatment. I agreed to have another treatment at a discounted price. I then left and went to Nebraska for the summer. I called the office and asked about receiving a refund so I could get treatment there. I was told I had a $1700.00 balance. I was never told they would subtract the bonus dollars from my refund. If I had been told, then I would have left the funds. I had to contact them at least 4 times to get the refund. I finally received a check for over $800.00 less than I had been told with zero explanation. I contacted them immediately to find out what had happened and was told the accounting manager would contact me. I called several more times and emailed at least twice. Finally, after getting very upset he called me and explained that their policy was to keep the credits. After explaining that I had NEVER been made aware of this, and after a very heated discussion he told me he would talk to the Dr McCoy. He NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I came in for a consultation. The woman who did the majority of the consult was friendly and readily answered my many questions. The office was lovely, as was the consultation room. The Dr came in later. He seemed disinterested and impersonal. Their price was quite a bit higher than Dr Kelly at the Center for Dermatology and Plastic surgery. That and the lack of personality on the Drs side made the choice to go elsewhere easy. read more

I had an appointment at 10 for Dysport and filler, placed numbing on and never came back in. I went out twice to see what was going on. The story kept changing. After 1 hr and 10 min of nothing I had to leave. no apology. no offer to make it right or to try and reschedule. read more

The photo tells the story... I had under eye hollows that I wanted to correct. JD McCoy administered a syringe of Restylane. I immediately noticed the asymmetry and the bags but was told it's a swelling which will subside. After no changes in a month, I went back and I was told I have skin discoloration. They performed a massage with a tool just to get me off their backs and I was told the swelling will go away. After the second appointment, I'm being ignored. I look worse than before the treatment. I was very happy with this company the first year I was there. Dr.McCoy was so helpful and really seemed to take the time to talk to me. The staff was wonderful and they had really good treatments. After I stopped doing the body contouring I started doing laser hair removal which really didn't seem to work even though I came consistently every six weeks. It was also twice the price as my other spot. It was absolutely painless because they do use the best updated technology. I tried some of the cosmetic procedures and he really focused on up selling me. It was pretty hard to say no. I would recommend this to people but know your limits when you go there. He does offer some amazing discounts and $100 off on your birthday so I believe he is a good businessman. read more

Well not sure what to think now, because it seems that my laser hair removal is failing and I am needing to shave my legs every 2 or 3 days now. I guess I always thought laser hair removal was permanent, no...? Update to the update! Contour Medical called me and said that I still had an outstanding treatment session that still needed to be redeemed (I had no idea) so they've made an appointment with me in the next couple of days for that and hopefully that resolves this new regrowth problem. I'm very disappointed with my results. I've had three photo facials in the past (not connected) and was always thrilled with the results. Dr. Maltaise in Glendale did a particularly good job. The technician at contour was a delightful young woman who it seemed to do fine work. But her instructions on how to use the equipment was to use a MUCH lower power than I've experienced before with very poor results. This cost almost $700. Of course they want to do two more sessions. So instead of one session its take three for a package deal of $1800 or so. I'm having nothing more to do with Contour Medical. read more

I have been a patient with Contour for several years and have spent thousands of dollars with them over the years and I sadly would not refer them to anyone I know. The practice has become more focused on training other doctors and appearances on tv and has lost all focus on patient care. I purchased a body contouring package that was to completed over a 6 weeks series. Every week there was a new employee performing it. My last treatment, I was lucky enough to be there while they were filming a news segment. The staff actually left me trapped under the machine turned off and then when they realized I had not received my treatment offered me a free treatment. As if I completed the series. Sadly I tried to bring this to managements attention with phone calls and emails and received no response. I would strongly discourage anyone from choosing Contour Medical and look to other Med Spas that's focus is customer care. read more

I have had a superb extraordinary experience with Dr McCoy and I can vouch for his experience because up until I moved here to Arizona a few years back I used to go to the absolute top dermatologist in Florida (so, I have VERY high expectations....& Dr. McCoy has exceeded my expectations) I moved here to Arizona and i have been absolutely blessed since the moment I visited his office. I always say .. what ever he does , because I've never left there unhappy !! I saw Dr. McCoy for a consultation today and am so happy I was referred to him. As my daughters wedding approaches, I was looking to age in reverse by a decade! Given the timeline, he suggested several alternatives and TOGETHER we decided on the appropriate treatment plan. I was never pressured, and Dr. McCoy was very sensitive to the final cost. I knew from my friend in the aesthetic business. that Dr. McCoy was cutting edge with the latest techniques and procedures and that he instructs others. What I did expect, but never experienced, was the inflated ego that often accompanies such skilled physicians. All in all, I am very pleased and excited to begin my skin rejuvenation. You may think that purchasing a Groupon or going elsewhere saves you some money, but I suggest you get a consultation with Dr. McCoy. I rarely write reviews, but can't pass up the opportunity to give this place five stars. The professional and oh so friendly staff are the first thing you notice. The incredible focus on up to date procedures, available options, and modern equipment are the next thing you notice. The best thing though is Dr. McCoy. He is very knowledgable and interested in providing the procedure that in his extensive experience will give you the best results. Well I would have given this place 5 stars if I did this review when I first started going to Contour. Very friendly staff, so much that I had my wife and daughter go also. The problem was when I was finished with my sessions and wanted to do a few followups. I did hair removal from my back and it worked fairly well but I knew I may need a couple of treatments later. I received an email for $100 off for my birthday and asked the staff if I should schedule an appointment in the future so I could use the coupon. They said "don't worry, we will but it on your account so you can just come in when you are ready". Sounded good but when I recently called to make an appointment for a follow up I was told it was not on my account and they wouldn't honor it. I have spent thousands of $ here and to be told since it's not on my account they wouldn't honor it was a joke. I even have the email still with the coupon. I was skeptical as I needed to lose weight but eat fairly healthy. I have had a lot of health issues and surgeries in the past few years. No Dr has ever really listened or helped me. The medications other Dr's put me on almost killed me and I had a 40 lb weight gain. I managed to get about 15 lbs off myself. But still needed to lose 20-30 lbs. I was looking at cosmetic surgery but he was honest enough to say with my type of fat that would not work. He talked to me about HCG and we thought it might be a good fit. He is tough on you if you screw up or even when its an honest mistake which was a little off putting, but I think its because he wants you to succeed. It was a commitment but I got through it. I lost about 12 lbs and I am continuing now off the program to lose more weight another 6lbs just by changing my diet. I am so happy and grateful .....I feel so much happier and able to workout again and try and get in shape. This is more than a diet its a restructuring of what you eat. Dr McCoy is Amazing! I new my hormones were off and went in for a consultation. He reviewed my lab work and noticed my testosterone was very low. I now go in once a week for a testosterone injection. I just left Contour Medical after having permanent make up done on my lips. I told Crystal when I walked in that I was terrified after reading reviews on the procedure. Crystal reassured me that it would not be as bad as the reviews said. She was so right, she numbed my lips throughout the entire process and continuously asked me if I was doing ok, all the while we were having a conversation! The process does not hurt, it is simply a strange sensation and the sound of the soft tap tool is strange, but all and all, it was super easy and I have no regrets.
