If you love your beer and are looking for a friendly place close to the station to have a few drinks and talk about things to some lovely locals, this is your place. They do have an extensive beer collection and prices are pretty reasonable. So, next time you're across the hills, I suggest you give this place a try, especially if you're a beer person. Well if you can't steal a Withnail & I quote from time to time then the world is a bad place. So in search of said wine I went to Czerwik. What a wonderful emporium. For me combining two of my favourite vices, cheese and wine, is actually a dangerous move because I am a picky customer. However, the expert advice and products firmly delivered. It's an independent family run business that has been established for over 15 years and it shows. There are loads of wines to get your head around, including one of my favourites Cloudy Bay. Don't be afraid to ask as they'll point you in the right direction. If you like beer then that is pretty much covered too. As for the cheese well that also ticks all the boxes. They have a dedicated cheesemonger (yes I know I love that word too, so say it loud and proud) with over 160 farmhouse cheeses kept in prime conditions for that perfect dairy hit. Oh and if you like to get all James Bond baddie then check out the Polish vodkas. I'll have some more of this please, shaken not stirred.

Czerwik's don't have *any* pre packaged cheese, so you know you are in for a treat here. If you're not sure about what to buy, just ask for a taste, its that kind of place that really knows what customer service is about. Its not only cheese though they have a huge wine cellar, extensive beer selection, all your usual deli fare and one of the best Whiskey selections you'll find anywhere. If you live in the Cleckhuddersfax region and you haven't been to Czerwik's, get yourself down there immediately. There's no better collection of delicious things in West Yorkshire, maybe the country, maybe the world.

They sell all sorts of exotic foods and jars of jams and chutneys and pates and lots of other delights. There is also a cafe on site where you can sample their home made sandwiches and cakes which are absolutely delicious. The service is great and the people really know their stuff. Its a little pricey but no more than you would pay elsewhere and definitely worth it for the occasional splurge.

Whilst the everyday groceries can be on the pricey side, you can find all sorts of hidden gems here, so it's a good place to look for that little something different. They have a good range of affordable wines, often bin ends and other good deals. They also have a great little deli counter, and do awesome home made sandwiches. They were the first shop in the village to have a donations pot for carrier bags in a bid to reduce the use of plastics. They sell their own canvas shopping bags, or you can bring your own, or use one of their empty cardboard boxes. The most recent addition is a National Lottery till.
