While in the area…read morefor a family BBQ, we heard about this spot from parent friends and decided it was finally time to check it out. Wow! I was honestly blown away. We brought lunch to have at the park and honestly, not much was eaten because there was just so much to do! What a toddler dreamland. There's a solitary airplane by the swings, a 'firetruck' to enter/exit, a boat to drive, slides of all kinds..a whale to climb that blows water steam out of its blowhole! I mean..the creativity! There's a quiet area that has books and chairs to read to the littles, like a "take one/leave one" small library. A section dedicated to music where littles can create sounds from a piano by using their feet to step on the keys. A bike park next-door. A pirate ship..I mean, the list goes on and on! In short, this playground is inclusive to all. The magic, wonder, uniqueness, and just imaginative play that is captured by adults and kids alike is really awesome for somewhere in the East Bay. We already can't wait to come back again. Street parking adjacent to playground can be found. This is a popular spot, so plan accordingly.

My son plays basketball at the nearby recreation center and we walked over to the park after his session- not realizing it was Mia's Dream Come True until halfway through play. This park is epic - from the Braille to the musical/sound features, awesome fire truck and the spouting whale! We could spend hours here (or at least an hour because Mama's got a schedule). For now we'll be back most weekends after basketball practice. I'd recommend this park to all parents of small children.

The park is very large and plenty of grassy field area to run around prolly in. There is also a basketball hoop court, which is great for those who play! Plenty of benches around and trees for shade. The play structure area, is large as well, but some parts I noticed weren't that safe, there were no baby/infant swings and no bathrooms! The park is located in a really nice neighborhood and could only imagine how busy it could get on the weekends or really nice spring or summer days. Parking here is pretty good during the week, as most people are at work but during the weekend it might be a little tricky. The park is clean and looks to be up kept. The park is located next to a sewer of some sort because occasionally there were nasty odors. Would I come back? Perhaps. But not my favorite park. I've seen better!

a review from @amom2kidsandapark…read more It was hot today and this park seemed like the perfect destination...sea breeze, amiright? No. No, I'm wrong. There's a large man-made hill between the park and the shore blocking any and all "sea breeze". With zero to no shade over the structure, it's safe to say we didn't stay here long. The park is pretty large with two ball fields and plenty of grass in between (no permanent outfield boards so it's essentially a huge open field with some dirt and a backstop on either corner). The entire park has paved sidewalks all around, especially near the playground where the sidewalks weave in and out of picnic tables and a man-made grove of small/someday giving shade trees. That's one thing this park really has going for it, there's a lot of trees. The play structure is in a circle format with bridges or a crawl tunnel connecting platform to platform. This format really allows for younger children not yet ready for the suspended lily pads or monkey bars to have fun and enjoy the entire structure. There are three slides (sidewinder, tube, double), steps, various ladders, activities, and the before mentioned crawl tube that can almost act as a fourth slide because of the angle. No swings or playground extras. While there is a parking lot and bathroom it couldn't be any farther from the playground. We parked on Point Lobos Ct which is much closer to the playground but we still had to walk a few minutes to get to the playground since it's tucked in the back corner. This park is great for biking and scootering or even stroller walks since it has a lot of long sidewalks.

Quick review on my end:…read more [[ Cons ]] 1.) What the hell is up with the slide height? It's like 2-3 feet off the ground. In any case, if you have a young toddler, just make sure you watch them get off the slide because it's just so high off the ground. See picture. [[ Pros ]] 1.) Huge park with ample parking. I felt like it was pretty clean and well-kept overall and it felt super spacious. The Union City BART runs above the park which is cool but loud at the same time. 2.) The trees embedded into the Playground act as natural SHADE. Oh my goodness do I love having shade while my kid is at the playground for 1-2 hours. Felt awesome. 3.) The Golden Gate Bridge play structure was awesome. My kid loved it and probably ran up and down the bridge and the various slides attached to it 100 times. Park is great besides the weird slide disembark heights.

It has curves so it isn't just a rectangle space. And I found the landscaping to be very clean and well thought out. Street parking only but I've never seen an issue with over crowding the residential. There's so much curb parking throughout the circumference that it spreads parking out. There is a war memorial here with plaques and towering flags. It is quite official looking and don't remember this years ago when I was younger. There's a small playground with a cool cement slide that kids love to zoom down on with cardboard underneath them. There's a basketball court, 6 tennis courts and 2 baseball/softball fields. All available for the community to use. I got reacquainted with this park as I parked once and ate a lunch on a bench on a beautiful spring day. I took a short walk around the park for a little exercise and took in the scenery and features. I eventually came back to practice on this massive tennis wall where you can hit into this wall and the ball just comes right back. A way to practice/work out without a partner. Except I used it for pickleball which I am trying to learn. It's helped me out immensely even with just a few visits. I don't live in this town but I live less than 3 miles from here. Really great photo op for millennials. The climb takes less than five minutes and is pretty fun, not extremely strenuous. Located within the Union Flats residential housing, this place was quiet and deserted on a Saturday evening. Street parking was easy to find right in front. Curious about this pyramid, I gave it a try, but didn't make it to the top cuz my fear of heights kicked in. It's much bigger than it looks in photos and has lots of hollow areas (with no rope) in the middle... I wasn't THAT eager to get to the top. Thankfully the gated "playground" has softer spongy rubberlike turf (not concrete) below, in case of falls. Not all too interesting for older kids and the wooden platforms make it seem not too sturdy or safe for younger children. There's a half court basketball area and open green and seems to be pretty quiet most of the time. Overall, it's decent, however, it doesn't look to be well maintained and their playground structure still had some old weathered wood platforms.
