I have been to 3 past psychologists to help me manage my anxiety, and never found one that provided me with applicable tools and strategies to use in my everyday life, until Dr. Mossad. She is BY FAR the best psychologist I have ever been to. My favorite time with Dr. Mossad is our sessions. Her sessions are a judgment-free zone! She does a great job of letting you talk about whatever is on your mind, and somehow gently guides the conversation to help you find some underlying meaning or purpose for your thoughts. She does these great activities that seem funny at first (drawing, looking at pictures, etc.) but they always give you a glimpse into how your brain works. Her sessions provide a wonderful opportunity for you to gain insight into how your brain functions. After these activities, she usually provides feedback and suggestions about how to handle or perceive future situations.
Dr. Mossad is so personable and always remembered facts and stories about me and my family. It always felt like we were picking up the conversation from right where we left off. I never once had to remind her who I was, what I did, or why I was there.
With my past psychologists, I felt like I was just another patient, and I felt like they kept prescribing more therapy to continue to get my payment. I never felt like that with Dr. Mossad. After about 4 months, we had worked through my issues and both agreed that I was doing well. She gave me the option of making my next appoitment for whenever I felt necessary. I really appreciated it and I felt that she was putting the power in my hands. She was there for support, but she wasn't forcing more therapy on me if I felt like I didn't need it.
Regarding payments, her office takes insurance, but only takes cash or check for copayments. This was no big deal for me, just something to remember.
I would highly recommend Dr. Mossad. She has given me the insight, tools, and strategies to help my anxious brain function in all aspects of my life. read more
