I've had Jason upholster several pieces of furniture for me in the past.... But I have never place a review about him or his shop. Now it time !!! Jason's quality of work is superb !! I had 4 dining chairs that needed to be re-upholstered. Walking into his shop.... It's very cluttered .... but in a good way. Several projects are lined up, rolls of fabric are everywhere and the sidewalls of the shop have several racks with fabric sample books. WOW.... It now all makes sense !! Jason let me bring a couple of books home to mull over fabric & patterns because I wasn't quite sure what I wanted. I brought my 4 chairs in and decided I wanted 4 couch pillows done as well. Once I selected the fabric, Jason had to order it. One of my selected patterns was not available.... It was discontinued. . Jason aided in finding something else he already had in the shop. Only needed a couple of yards.... YES...it worked. All in all, it took about 3 weeks to get my project completed. I am thrilled with the chosen fabric and the quality of his work. It was obvious from our first conversation that Jason knew what he was doing. His workmanship is excellent. He was patient through my changes in direction, always eager to be sure I was satisfied. He also went above and beyond during Hurricane Ian by storing my loveseat and fabric in his van in case his shop was damaged. He uses quality materials and has a huge selection of fabric samples. Well..reupholstery....replace OR... Let me share my recent experience with Constable Reupholstery in Port Charlotte. I found myself with the dilemma: to buy new furniture or to repair/reupholster my beautiful Raymond Wates sofa and chairs. I love my furniture.But it was in use for 15 yers. 3 kids grew up on it... Fabric started really disintegrating and there was nothing left of the original look except for an excellent core and great quality frame. After looking around I quickly realized how quality of modern furniture went down in the last decade and a half. Overpriced furniture that is only good for few years and this is if you are lucky in every furniture store.Shock! So I started thinking about reupholstery. Being a particular person I ALWAYS research and check and shop around. Spoke with few guys. Compared prices. Quickly realized the "world of reupholstery " is not simple and a lot is involved... To make a long story short after looking at a few proposals I knew I was about to be taken to the "dry cleaners". Then I met Jason. Right away new his approach was very different.Honesty was seeping through during our original discussion of the work and pricing. Decided to go with him however my expectations of the end result were what I thought very realistic. I expected few more years of maybe decently looking old furniture.At least there will be no holes in the fabric which was already to me a good result. Then he delivered the set. OMG!!!!! COULD NEVER IMAGINE it was possible for a redo to look better than the original. The quality of the work exceeded ALL of my expectations!!!!!!! I had and still don't have enough words to express my satisfaction with that project. Jason,I respect and admire your work. I felt like I traveled back in time to the days when people actually took pride in their work. When customers where treated with respect. When pricing was legitimate and well justified. To the times when people where fond of what they did for living and money was not EVERYTHING.
