I can't recommend sweat yoga enough. I've practiced at dozens of studios but for the last five…read moreyears I've been primarily practicing at sweat because I absolutely love it. The classes are so much fun, the teachers are top-tier, and I've seen significant improvements in my mental and physical health. Plus there's a homestate tacos and cafe ruisseau around the block, a cute patio and park nearby, and easy street parking!

I love Grace, her presence and energy as an instructor is unmatched. Gabby P, Rachel M and Larissa classes were amazing. I absolutely enjoyed them. I did many classes with different instructors the ones named above were the ones that made me feel comfortable in their classes. The rest I would absolutely not recommend them if you look like me but I am not going to single them out. The front desk, Madi (I adore her) and Stephanie were extremely nice and supportive. I had an incident there and they were very helpful and I am very grateful for that. Now, I do not think this space is made for minorities who look like me. It is in a very convenient location to my house so I ignored a lot of things and focus on my practice. At some point it was not easy to ignore the micro aggressions from some people at the front desk and others customers. The vibe was if you look like me, they all look at you like you do not belong. People avoid seating next me (which I enjoyed) but at some point it was ridiculous because I would watch them pack every other corner of the room before there is no other choice than next me to and some would sight heavily before seating. In many occasions, I watched people walk back to make sure they secured their lockers as I walked in the restrooms. Ridiculous! Mind you, I would leave my stuffs in the open bench like many others but some people would be afraid of me stealing their things ! This was not the place to build a community as I hoped for, but it does make sense with the overall experience in Playa Vista. They do not want black people around! I don't blame the owners for the attitude of their customers but I think there should be communication to let people know that the space is inclusive of everyone regardless of their race! Some of the front desk people need to be checked, very mean girl attitude for a yoga space. Anyway I hated that I had to stop going because I wanted to keep practicing Yoga but I knew that environment was not healthy for me and that go against the principles of yoga. I hope things will improve! One other thing, I was charged after I asked for my account to be frozen. After the three they automatically charged me, I asked to cancel my membership, they charged me the following month ignoring my previous message. I was only reimbursed for one month. I didn't want to bother myself with the back and forth! Hope this helps!

Both sessions were phenomenal, and I loved how friendly the check-in desk people are. The breathwork class with Robert was exceptionally enlightening and I HIGHLY recommend taking his class. I have a little experience with breathwork from a few years ago, but nothing compared to his class. He is hands down one of the best instructors I have ever met. I felt so much weight lifted off my shoulders, walking out of the studio each time with the most exhilarating freeing sensation, especially after Robert's breathwork class. I didn't even realize how much I needed the spiritual healing, but most of the time you don't know until you give yourself the time to release your mind!

It was quite a workout and a little more than I could handle, but I'm glad I tried it. My instructor was really good and nice, but wasn't as hands on as I would've liked and she spent most of the time in one corner of the room instead of in the front showing us how to do the poses. I would've preferred if she did the flow with us or at least walked around to correct. Parking was a big tough - there's a parking lot that's free but it's shared with the plaza and there just doesn't seem to be enough spaces. They also don't seem to have enough restrooms - there was a long line for the restroom when I went. There was a student observing the class, which I didn't particularly love. It takes away from the experience when it feels like someone is watching/potentially judging me.

BEST YOGA STUDIO IN LA!!!…read more From the second you arrive... Greeted by the sweet staff... Cute retail up front... a generous changing area with lockers and private changing rooms.. Then you enter the large studio with 2 huge skylights and lovely plants and funky graffiti wall. On warm days the studio opens up to an indoor/outdoor setup!!! I love nothing more than warm, breezy outdoor yoga!! The instructors are so wonderful and from so many different backgrounds and modalities. Kate, the owner, teaches multiple classes during the week, but don't miss her Sunday morning "Love Saves the Day" class with live music!!! Its always packed and filled with best energy. A tougher class for sure, but always a unique and engaging sequence. I could go on, but please do yourself a favor and come to class. Five stars!

She'd show us the poses and then she'd walk around to adjust our forms as needed. I like that she gave us different options and modifications depending on everyone's comfort and skill level. The studio felt clean and spacious with artsy décor all around. They have blocks, blankets and straps for you to borrow. You can also rent a mat for $2, though most people brought their own. Overall, I enjoyed the class and it was a challenging and rewarding practice. My only wish is that they would not overpack the classes. I thought 20 people fit comfortably, but then 10 more people walked in and I felt that there was not enough space for everyone to transition between poses safely. We were so close to each other that we would accidentally kick or hit one another.

I have now done 135 classes at the studio and it's gotten me in the best shape of my life. The teachers are warm and kind, while still encouraging me to grow. Some of my favorites are Kelsey, Lily, Abigail, and Rachel. The classes run right on time and have fun themes and playlists along with energetic and relaxing colored lights. They offer a great variety of class styles from Power to Slow to Restore to Sculpt. Kelsey also leads a wonderful sound bath once a month. They've also done a great job building the community. We are currently doing a fun bingo challenge that I'm having a great time with. I would highly recommend that anyone give this studio a shot!

I'm a member at another YogaSix location that I truly enjoy, and I signed up temporarily at this location while I was in the area for work so I could stay consistent with my practice. My first class was Restore. The audio kept glitching, the music cut in and out and the instructor repeatedly had to adjust her phone that was plugged into the wall. The heat also didn't seem to be working properly. The system sounded like it was trying to turn on, made concerning noises, then shut off after about 30-45 seconds. It was very distracting and made it difficult to relax or fully settle into the class. Still, I didn't want to judge based on one visit, so I booked another class. The second class was Slow Flow. The instructor was very sweet, but the class felt a bit unstructured and out of sync, with students encouraged to move freely rather than follow a cohesive flow. There were again audio issues with the headset and music cutting in and out, and the heat still wasn't working; the heater had the same start-stop problem as before. I finished the class but left feeling underwhelmed. I also had another class scheduled that same week which I canceled in the app within the allowed cancellation window due to unexpected work obligations. However, the studio later stated that it showed as a late cancel/no-show on their end and I was charged a fee. I'm not sure whether there was an app or system glitch, but it was frustrating since I followed the cancellation process correctly. I had one more class booked and hoped the earlier experiences were just bad luck. Unfortunately, at 3 a.m. the morning of that class, a fire broke out in my apartment building and I had to cancel last minute. I texted the studio to explain the emergency. While they were polite and sounded understanding, I was still charged the no-show fee. Between the repeated equipment issues, inconsistent class experience, cancellation discrepancies, and emergency no-show charge, along with the location being somewhat difficult to access; this studio did not meet expectations. With so many great yoga studios in LA, I wouldn't personally recommend this location.

I really loved going here but my recent experience with their Saturday sculpt class was not fun…read more It did not seem like they limited the class size, and it was SO full that our mats were touching the neighbor to the left and right. There was no space whatsoever, it was cramped and gross. I had my water bottle ON MY MAT, and the person in front of me was so close to me they kicked it over like 3 times throughout their class. The person to my left was flinging sweat on me everytime he transitioned moved. Because the class was so full they ran out of weights too, so I was left with an 8 pound weight and a 2 pound weight.... The person on my right kept heavy breathing and I felt every breath on me as he was that close. At one point he coughed and I felt that too. They either don't limit the number of class spots or they set that number super high. It was genuinely disgusting and I wanted to leave early but I didn't want to climb across people to get out... I also forgot my mat and they charged me $10 for a rental!! Which is a A LOT!! It used to be $3 a few months ago, tell me why it's now $10?!!! That's so expensive for just a rental?
