Was staying at the hotel and decided to walk up for a beer and food. The view is amazing, which overlooks the ballpark and downtown. Limited appetizer menu but the food was good. Overall the price is also reasonable. My big complaint was the music being way too loud. We couldn't even carry on a conversation over it. My suggestion is lower it bit. Holy Shit. I ordered a double Grey Goose and tonic and received a tab for $28.00. I questioned the waitress (who was polite) about the charge and she told me they double the normal drink price vs adding the price of a shot. I asked her to check with her manager and she came back and said the price it what it is. No one does this. Maybe they can't figure out their register. No way would I ever come back. Went twice in one night. Once before the game about 4p and again after the game. Service both times was top notch. At 4p it was pretty dead but had four different serves check on us. After the game the place was much busier and servers were hustling and still top notch. Drinks were fairly priced and flavorful. Hummus portion was a little skimpy. Needed more dippers for the portion of hummus. Fireworks viewing we felt like we were IN the fireworks. So SO cool. Bathroom situation was tough with only two unisex bathrooms. read more

We visited Connor's during their Elf Pop Up Bar over Christmas time. This review is highlighting that experience. When you walk into the bar, you are instantly transformed into Elf's World. All the decorations you can think of, jack-in-the-Box, pop tarts, Coke bottle, paper snowflakes, Christmas music, the list goes on. The movie elf was even playing on the TV! There were several specialty drinks. We tried the worlds best cup of coffee, which was essentially a Irish coffee. It was pretty good! We also got a glass of Pinot Grigio, which was well priced and delicious as well. The staff was warm and friendly! And the service was super quick. I wish they did more advertising for this experience because I feel like a lot more people would have had fun with it. I hope they do it again next year! read more

Great place with an awesome view! I bet it's even better during warm summer nights. I tried a cocktail that contained egg white, but for some reason, it smelled disgusting. Nevertheless, the cocktail itself was good; perhaps the egg white wasn't fresh. Our waitress was super nice and attentive, always on hand to refill drinks or take food orders. Though I didn't get a chance to eat, I saw someone order wings, and they looked really tasty! Despite the smelly cocktail, it didn't ruin the experience at this place. Nothing but love for Conner's Rooftop. I visited when I was staying in the hotel that houses this bar (Hampton Inn & Suites). It's nice to have a rooftop bar located in your hotel, I'm not going to lie. Especially when the rooftop bar overlooks Parkview Field, the home of the Fort Wayne TinCaps baseball team. I was able to sip my drink on the heated patio and watch the baseball game as the sun set on Fort Wayne. I only visited once during my stay, and I got a Paloma, which was very pretty -- with its fancy sprig of rosemary -- and refreshing. The beverage menu is much bigger than the food menu. They have a handful of things to eat here, but they have a lot of options for things to drink. My husband got the jalapeno poppers, and he enjoyed them. I wouldn't come here thinking you're going to eat dinner. This is a bar with a few nibbly things on the menu and that's it. Conner's Rooftop has indoor seating, but there is also outdoor seating with heating lamps, and some seating groups with a fire pit. If you're going to visit this bar, though, I would recommend sitting outside. The view is amazing, especially on days when there's a baseball game. read more

I was looking for some place to go for my birthday in Fort Wayne and a friend recommended this bar. Decent appetizers, but they could use a couple of entrées on the menu in my opinion. The selling point is the view overlooking the stadium where we got to see the end of the Tin Caps game and post game firework show. It was a great way to end my birthday. I will say it is a hotel bar, so don't expect any great deals in terms of pricing, but the cocktails were great, as well as the food. read more

We stopped by this bar for a drink and snacks before going to a show at the Embassy. The bar ambience was simple but was loud even though not full. I had a Bloody Mary which was fine, nothing unique. My husband just had a bottle of beer so not much could go wrong there. We were promptly helped by a waiter who was very good and checked in with us several times. We ordered the pretzel bites and the hummus appetizers. Both were okay - not bad but nothing exceptional either. However, our visit was still fun because we were looking down at the Tincap's stadium which was extensively decorated with thousands of lights for Christmas. The sight was really delightful. Might go again if it were convenient but there are better bar options downtown. read more

Very nice rooftop bar. Ambience was nice as well as the view. Our drinks were good and as well as the food. The guacamole was very light, like it had been whipped, I liked it like that. The pretzel bites and cheese were good too, usually cheese get firm or hard after it cools, this cheese stayed runny, so was good for the left over chips from the guacamole. I didn't find it to be too pricey, as some other reviews have stated. I'd assume most of those reviews came from locals, who are used to local bars and such that are cheaper, I have my favorites that are very affordable in my hometown. We got out of the bar with 2 appetizers and 3 drinks for $50. For most hotels or anywhere we vacation, the bill would usually be more (I am not a local btw). Only room for improvement was lobby waiting area was pretty hot and the seating policies seemed to change as the bar top was not open at first then they added seats and opened it up, as many guests were interested in a basketball game on the tvs. Our server was also very friendly and appeared to be taking care of many tables mostly on her own and that did not affect our service at all. read more

However, the management was the worst part of the experience. I was very hungry and ordered a pizza, only to be told that outside food wasn't allowed, despite the appetizers being insufficient. The hotel recommended we could grab a bite to go in the 7th floor bar restaurant. So we headed up ready to place a to go order and wait outside. The bartender told us he would be right with us to place our order then the manager came and abruptly told us they were not going to to take our order. As we explained the other employee just said he would take it in a moment. He said well we won't so good bye. We left. Never to return again. Unfortunately not a great first experience. I will say the location is very cool and would be a fun experience during a TinCaps game in the summer. Although the drinks are very expensive and the food menu is very limited. As a table of 4, each food item came out about 10-15 apart from each other. I wish I could give this roof top bar a 5. The only reason I literally stayed here was because of it. Yet it failed me miserably. Let's start at the beginning. I sat at the bar and waited to be greeted while the bartender was on his phone. I'm usually not offended by this because as a society we tend to be ruled by them. In this case it got worse. After I had decided on what I wanted, two servers that were in the bar ignored the fact that I was ready and waited patiently because I don't know if they had other orders. To juxtapose the previous behaviors, two other patrons joined the bar and were welcomed and greeted in a warmer behavior from both of the bartenders. I don't know if they were both bartender but both were serving drinks yet only one somewhat acknowledged my presence. I had two glasses of wine and shrimp lettuce cups. They were good but not memorable. I had a free appetizer that I had won for being a Gold member at the Hampton Inn and decided not to use it because of the lack of customer service and also acknowledgement from the bartender. read more

Arrived around 5pm and left around 6:30pm after being screamed at loudly and embarrassingly in front of basically the entire outside seating area by our server. Why you ask? Because after waiting over an hour for our appetizers (sliders and pretzel bites which never arrived) I informed our server I needed to make the 7pm Jerry Seinfield show next door, which I paid around $1000 for the tickets. When I went to explain to her why I was upset she blatantly told me she didn't care, and she insisted on telling me why she was "pissed off" at me and didn't ever hear my reasoning. Not only did I have to make the 7 PM show, I was upset because I was the 2nd table seated this evening and every table filled up afterward with that hour. With that said, every other table receive their food, and most of those tables that came after me, had already ate, drank, paid their bill and left and yet my table never received any food! If an hour wait wasn't bad enough, the table directly next to mine ordered the same food I did at least an half hour after I did and they paid and left around 20 minutes before. Furthermore, I was asked to have a card left at the bar for the tab which was fine, however, when I attempted to explain that I had to cancel and leave, our server in a way held us hostages and didn't bring me the bill or my card back for another 15 minutes or more! WTF was this servers problem! I'm not an asshole, I am extremely friendly and polite and patient. A couple hours later after the Seinfield show, a nice couple approached my wife and I out on the side walk near the Embassy and they said that they too had a similar situation along with a third table after we left the restaurant. These two other tables also didn't receive their orders in any timely fashion and were applauded by the way the server treated us. They walked out, too, in happy and in fed. This place SUCKS. With all of that said, I take pride in writing awesome 5 star reviews all of the time for establishments that I frequent. Check my history, this is the first bad review I've ever left. read more

This place was great! The one and only rooftop bar in the Fort and it happens to overlook our award-winning ballpark. The service was awesome! Especially for a new establishment. When I go to places that have barely been open, I typically expect bad service and don't hold it against them. I didn't have to worry about that here. The server was friendly, attentive and full of information. My only complaint was the prices. Two cocktails and an appetizer and we were out of there for $32. Just got asked to leave Connor's rooftop bar. Manager(I'm assuming) came up to our table after we had sat down and told us " I can't have you guys sitting here or up here at all. I don't know the circumstances but one of my waitresses is uncomfortable and we can't serve you." I know the exact waitress that was uncomfortable. Her name is Olivia(not using last name for her sake)and she is my boyfriend's ex that dated him between us being on a 6 month break and I did admittedly had some issues with her cyber stalking and called her out virtually. So you're telling me that I can't go out on a date night with my boyfriend that she dated for TWO MONTHS because she is too childish to have somebody else serve us in her workplace or hell, even serve us herself? Beyond childish and unprofessional. Let alone to ask us to do so in front of other patrons when we have not caused any issues at this point in time and all of the drama happened well over 1.5 years ago. Do better. read more

We decided to head here after eating at conner's kitchen a few Saturday's ago. We had to put our name in and were given a buzzer. When we were allowed to enter we were ushered into an elevator. We got up to the top, excitement building. When the door open it was such a disappointment. This place was one step away from a nightclub. I felt like this was for a whole different crowd then what I was expecting. It was standing room only. There was no way to even see the "view". We walked around for a second, but the bar was so packed we didn't even bother trying to get a drink. Great concept, just a bit too much of a party atmosphere for us.
