I called Affordable Lake Electric (ALE) on a week-end for a dryer breaker that had failed. Cameron…read morecame out and fixed it for their $500 (roughly) week-end call rate. After Cameron left it was less than 3 hours later we noticed our AC was NOT working. I called Cameron and he came back (after trying to walk me through a couple of items over the phone). He did NOT say that I would have to pay another $500 for him to return. It turns out that the AC Breaker was directly under the dryer breaker. I paid Cameron the 2nd call fee - under protest - and asked him to have Tanner call me to discuss. Tanner NEVER called me even though I left 2 messages and multiple texts and even asked Cameron to have Tanner call me. Very unprofessional. The only reason that Tanner even texted me back was because I put a dispute on my credit card. Is it coincidental that the breaker underneath the dryer breaker went bad within a couple of hours "after" Cameron left or did Cameron "not" check all the breakers before he left - that is unknown. What is known is that Tanner did not provide very professional customer service by never returning my call. My ask of Tanner was to provide "some" relief for the 2nd $500 service call. I specifically asked for a $200 discount on the 2nd $500 service call. He was NOT receptive and actually was very negative. Ultimately life is too short to dwell on negative encounters. However I will never again call Affordable Lake Electric.

Comfort Care's bid was for a Bryant 4 T, 15 seer system and came in at just over $10,000.00. Honest Abe's provided me with 6 options all featuring "Goodman" products. They ranked their options as: Brass, Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum with the Brass being the least expensive and Platinum being the most expensive. The Brass, Copper, and Bronze systems were all 3.5 T, 13 seer systems and the Silver, Gold, and Platinum systems were for 3.5 T, 14 seer systems. The Brass bid came in at just over $14,000.00 all the way up to the Platinum bid which came in at just over $21,000.00. I gave them the courtesy of sending them an email letting them know that they were not competitive this time and I would be going with another provider. Since then they have been sending unwanted text messages. The last one informing me that they now have discounts that can be applied. I called today to request that they please stop sending text messages. I was informed that it was my job to stop the messages by responding "STOP" to them. Nowhere in the sent text messages does it mention as much.
