These guys are great!…read more My mom and I went to do some genealogical research while on a lovely vacation to PEI. Seems "Nana M." claimed that she was born in England and not PEI. We basically had names and some vague dates for births. The resources these guys have are great. They include: 1) Wedding records, 2) baptism records, 3) wills, 4) old newpaper articles 5) 1841,1861, 1881, and 1891 (at least) census records. If you go to their website, some of this information is available online as well. We were able to trace many branches of our family tree and to also debunk Nana M.'s claims that she was not born on PEI. The staff was also extremely patient and helpful in answering our questions and I would recommend than to anyone with a link to PEI who is looking to trace their roots. One final note: the baptism cards are extremely useful because they allow you to link parents to children by full name which is very useful in pinning down relationships.

The library is very quiet and the staff are friendly too. I go here all the time and it's never…read moredirty and always quiet so it's great for studying. There is lots of space to do work so I recommend going here instead of staying at home to study.
