    Gotta have a Coney

I'm not sure how many Coney I-landers there are in Tulsa, but the one I go to most often is the one on South Peoria in Brookside. It's always clean and well-maintained... even the sparse bathroom. 3-Cheese Coneys with onions do it for me. Hey, we're not counting calories, OK? So that's a grilled hot dog on a soft roll with chili, mustard, diced onion and a huge pile of shredded cheddar cheese. Oh yeah baby! That's all I get here. I love my Coneys.

I've been eating lunch here off and on at this location for years. Recently I was working in the area and needed some tasty quick lunches. The coneys are spot on for taste, the service is always nice and the tables are always promptly cleaned. There are a lot of places in that area for lunch and I've been to them all but Coney Island is my first choice for quick tasty food.

A Tulsa classic! I recommend getting one (or several) cheese coneys with everything. Service is quick, friendly, and the seating area is pretty clean at this location.

This place rocks!!! Not because of the best food ever but because of the food, good customer service, and the locals working here. I ate Coney I-Lander since I was kid, always loved it....well, in my 20's, I stopped eating pork. Hard transition but even harder giving up "coneys". No matter how well I do at home, can't match the authentic taste. On one family trip to Coney I-Lander (downtown Tulsa location), I was just gone order a frito pie (insert sad emoji), well I guess the guy behind the counter saw it in my face. I told him my dilemma and he said no biggie, just bring your own dog and we will put it on a fresh steamed bun and top it off (whether its chicken, beef , or veggie dog - as they only serve one kind of hot dog and its pork). I was elated!!! Ever since, I have been stopping by with my own dogs at every location and they have never said no!!!! So, what makes this place special? They use steamed buns that are never hard or stale. The chili they use is slightly sweet and not too meaty or thick. The onions are chopped so fine, you think its a part of the chili. AND....the best part - the cheese!!! very finely shredded and in abundance...yeeessssss!!! Each time I walk in, the smell is like amazing. I immediately become hungry. The fact that I have traveled the world and only found them in Tulsa makes it that much more of a treat. I can't explain it to folks who haven't tried it. It is like Tulsa's own little magic. Don't visit Tulsa without stopping at one of their many locations where the people are nice and friendly.

Great service unique place with a unique menu. I got one of everything but I would recommend keeping towards the Coney dogs they were much better than the other two items I got. Solid over all nothing out of this world.

My go to - 3 regulars, no cheese.

It's our Saturday go-to... and even moreso after an evening of overindulgence! Let's face it, coneys are the best hangover cure. But I like them other times too - they make a great quick lunch or mid day snack. Coneys, frito pies, 3-4 way spaghetti options - several ways to enjoy their unique chili, onions, cheese, and your favorite hot sauce. I usually get my coneys without cheese - just stopped years ago for no good reason. Now load my tamale up with cheese! Service is always friendly, quick, and they are a good value. Try these little gems for a nice surprise.

    Check out these tasty-ass coneys.

When I think of landmark places to eat in Tulsa, this is on my list. The reason for that is because it's tasty as f*ck. I came to this one for the first time in 1979. Since then, it's stayed the same. It's never changed. Well, except for the drink machine. That's changed. I'm sure there is such a thing as an addiction to coneys, so be careful. Don't fly too close to the coney sun, man.

can't go wrong with coneys and a strawberry pop. The chili was warm and i asked for extra mustard. good quick meal if you're not watching your figure lol

If you're a hot dog fan then you are in for a treat! Coney I-Lander has been around in Tulsa since the 1920's and once you try their food you will figure out why. This location is clean, associates are friendly and the prices are so SUPER affordable. My dad and I had lunch there with drinks and the total cost was $14 can't beat that for lunch! I got 3 plain hotdogs with ketchup and mustard. I'm not a big chilli and cheese lover but I guarantee you that 95% of the people that come in are and swear by it, so order them that way! Their buns they use for are so fresh and soft it's like you're eating air when you bite into one. The meat they use is delicious it definitely doesn't taste like any other hot dog you get anywhere else. They have chip options such as lays or Cheetos just your typical chips and all the regular soda and tea options. The highlight of this chain is their hot dogs. Amazing. I always get 3 because they are tiny. Even though I probably could eat 4 and be a piggy.

Do they still offer the chili powder?

I love that they have these incredible egg sandwiches as well as real deal Korean corn dogs. If you've never experienced a Korean corn dog it's very different than an American corn dog because you can get sweet potato or regular potato on the outside or you can just get the really crispy outside batter. then they have all these sauces or cinnamon sugar that you can sprinkle on your corn dog and it just makes it that much better. It's super affordable and a really great spot especially if you wanna try something different and yummy. Everything is made to order and doesn't take too long.

I went with the classic, it gave me the idea of this spot & to try just about every option on the menu. The Classic was coated & fried to perfection. Light & crispy, made for dipping (you can get up to 3 cups for sauces). As I was waiting for the order to be ready, there were numerous condiments to choose from like chili, sriracha, garlic... I went with the sriracha & the chili. I enjoyed both sauces, I like to try chili sauces by the restaurant & theirs is the way I like it. The wait didn't take long at all, especially with me having a Mochinut to hold me over. I went with cinnamon sugar, which is something I'd usually go for anywhere to let me know how good to other flavors will be. All of the flavors caught my eye & there were plenty to choose from (like mango & blueberry to name a couple). Outside of those selections I made, there's another thing they're known for, they egg toast. The Teriyaki one is the one I might have to try first. The staff was nice. As if all that wasn't enough, they also have slushes.
