Came to this place for the first time this past summer and was amazed at their selection. You can and will spend hours walking around this place. The selection is almost overwhelming and the quality is top notch. Prices are also much better than all of the places more local to me. All of the staff, even the younger ones are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I have to travel about 1.5 hours to get there and have been back several times since my first visit. Rude staff, dishonorable sales practices, & high prices- I will NOT be back. My landscaper recommended this place, so I made the trek out there to pick out my plants. Evidently, because my landscaper sent me, he gets a discount on the plants, but because I arrived a few minutes before him, they refused to give him the discount. I was there only because he sent me, so they would not have had the sale without him. I had found out after the fact that they denied him his discount. Had I known at the time, I would have told them to keep their f****** plants. I found their plants to be very overpriced. Just an overall bad experience. Conestroga is not a large nursery but they have as good a collection of plants and trees as we've seen in central PA. We were especially impressed at their larger trees. They have a much wider collection of varieties than most other local nurseries. They will deliver the larger trees and while they don't plant them they can refer you to people who will. read more

Our plan was to visit a handful of nurseries in the area (having come from eastern delaware county) but we filled a car and an SUV at Conestoga so were done! The selection of trees was incredible; good pricing; helpful and knowledgable staff. I also saw some varieties of coral bells and hostas that I've never seen before. We only walked around half of the facility so we will definitely be back in the spring. There are roadside markets ALL over this area.
