Sounds like we had a completely different experience to the above. Went in sussing out new cruiser wheels. Great advice was provided and well laid out store with great brands. Did not make a purchase but was chatting with I suspect the owner and gave my 3 yr old son a sticker which was pretty cool and nice off him.
Regarding the review above, hope your daughter is still skating. It is great fun to roll around and if she is popping tricks even more awesome!
With the shop assistant, I suspect he may of not wanted to be rude even though he may of come across rude to you and your daughter. The store hires skaters, not customer relations reps and the demographic off repeat customers in the industry is completely different.
With Time Zone and Kmart skateboards, they do not last long, unfortunately the quality is very poor and can be dangerous as they are so easily broken.
Key Differences:
- Trucks: may have a brand name but are imitation
- Bearings: may have a brand name but are imitation
- Bushings: may have a brand name but are imitation
- Grip tape: may have a brand name but are imitation
- Deck: may have a brand name but are imitation
If the shop assistant ollied the board down the stairs in the store I bet the trucks would bend. If she is still engaged in skating I would suggest buying a complete board for around $120 - $150 online. Check out the recommended deck width for her shoe size and age before purchasing online. This is the type of advice a shop assistant can guide with but in store. read more
