The event was held upstairs in a room with amazing views of the Minneapolis skyline. What a fun place! It was full of so much energy on a Sat morning. People were enjoying pastries and coffees from the on-site cafe. I walked through the library and gift shop. I'm so glad I was able to visit and learn about this place. Learning to speak Spanish has been a lifelong dream to help provide that connection to my story of origin. After visiting my country of origin this past year, the determination to learn became even more prevalent. I had taken Spanish in high school but wanted to find a program that could provide a more meaningful experience. I have tried all kinds of learning programs over the years including- Rosetta Stone, app-based learning systems like Duolingo and Babel; I even did community education classes, and while all were good in their own right, that connection of culture, and community was the missing piece. I found Luis and Rojas Spanish doing a local search, and it's been an incredible experience. Luis' unique approach to instruction combines small group learning, real-life conversational lessons, and a welcoming snd no-pressure space for learning Spanish. The Rojas program creates a welcoming environment for learners at all levels. You can join in-person classes or participate online. Each week his guided and immerse lessons helps increase confidence in speaking, writing and comprehension. I absolutely recommend Rojas!

I found the instructors highly professional and the facility nice. But at my age, literally from minute one, not having the ability to converse in my native language and ask questions not a fit. At all. I would encourage a prospective student who is not a corporate client, to ask if they can sign up for one or two classes to see if it's a fit. Again, the instructors and the method may work for some, but not for my style. I was frustrated and the instructors were too, I'll wager. It was a monstrous waste of my money and time. I found a private tutor who spent as much time as needed explaining in my language and repeating at a slower pace than Berlitz. I made huge strides in less time. Berlitz Method is not for all though they clearly believe it is.

The playrooms are filled with Montessori toys, and their staff is good about routinely vacuuming throughout the day (parents are also encouraged to help clean up after their kids). Highly recommend! I want this place to stay in the neighborhood for as long as possible!!

I truly don't know how the staff does it so quickly and with such effusive happiness. The community also feels very tight-knit as well. Parents have their own Parent Advisory Board that meets at various restaurants and breweries with the kids each month. We've made lasting friendships with other parents as our kids start exploring their own first friendships. With a city park nearby, you'll find yourself at an impromptu park playdate with other parents at pickup--cementing long lasting core memories as your kids keep playing with favorite friends and making new ones. But most of all: It's the teachers. They are all some of the most dedicated teachers I've seen. Absolutely in love with each parent's kid and moving heaven and earth to shape each child into a good person every single day. Pure miracle workers. If there's one note to end on, it's this: Lots of places are great at looking after your kids. But for me, Mis Amigos is a place where I know my aren't just safe, but are being truly loved.

They are absolutely awesome! I have been going there for about 3 or 4 years. I mentioned to them…read moreabout having severe PTSD and cannot tolerate pain whatsoever. They made sure and did excellent job with numbing gel and Novacane. They told me that if at any point whatsoever that I feel uncomfortable, they will be more than happy to take a brief time out and also do more numbing. I found that the people who do my cleaning where senior students who were getting closer to graduation. In my opinion, you could tell that they really cared a lot about doing a great job. If they don't do a great job, they don't get good grades or graduate. And they are closely monitored by Senior dentists with a ton of experience. And even though Senior dentist have a fantastic bedside manner, if you will. One of the senior students was Gretchen. I'm sure she'll be graduating soon and you may not be able to schedule her. However, I continually told Senior staff that she did a stellar job of keeping me calm, keeping me from a feeling any pain, and doing a superb job with the cleaning itself. I also had Dr Li do a root canal on one of my front teeth. It was a tricky problem. He tried twice from the bottom and it did not work. So, we had to go from the top (through the gums) into the tooth, doing a root canal that way. I was completely and utterly terrified that I would be in horrific pain. He and his assisting staff made me unmeasurably calm and relaxed, and I did not feel a single thing of pain the entire time. I can only tell you that I have had an absolutely fabulous experience from cleaning, to having surgery, their bedside manner, professionalism, and all things in between. Do NOTE: they do not have the nitrous oxide gas at the school. I'm not sure exactly why but you should know this. HOWEVER - you should also know that I almost did not go there because I have always required having gas with my severe PTSD. I am certainly glad that I did choose to go there, because they did an absolutely amazing job in helping me feel calm, and I was being professionally cared for buy a very positive and friendly staff. I cannot recommend them enough.

My experience was horrible in oral surgery, and I will try to summarize the myriad issues that came…read moreup. 1. No one at the school can take a proper blood pressure reading or cares whether spurious information is going into your medical file. Yes, it involves more than "pushing a button" as the last medical assistant claimed. 2. Unprofessional discussions during surgery. Resident talked about his bad grades (Oct 2025) 3. Lack of supervision of surgery when the resident didn't even know where to start cutting for a bone graft. A supervisor came in and quickly left after a cursory look. 4. Surgery failed. No antibiotics were prescribed. 5. Had a second surgery for a bone graft. U oM did not provide an adequate clinical treatment narrative to the insurance company. They eventually blocked my access to the dental school until I paid out of pocket--no way even to contact the doctor or anyone who can provide proper documentation to MetLife. I have made 15 to 20 calls with no way of resolving this. 6. In oral surgery, you get a revolving door of residents that do not need to take any responsibility for their work. They just experiment on you, wreck your life, and then move on. The school needs a new director to address all the problem areas given. It's a highly unprofessional environment of rotating students who are not properly supervised and cannot seem to perform proper surgery, handle basic prescriptions, submit documentation to insurance companies, or even provide a way to contact them, I have never had such poor treatment in my life. It will cost you much more in the long run in terms of your health and your wealth by going to the U of M dental school.
