My fiancé and I recently took a campus tour with Nicholas, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. When we asked a simple question about the total cost of attendance, he immediately gave us numbers and then stated, "If it's not for you, I don't want to waste your time and continue the tour." At no point did we suggest the price was "too much" for us--we were simply requesting information. Throughout the tour, he repeatedly emphasized that "if it's not doable or not for us, we don't have to continue." Instead of focusing on the school itself, This not only distracted from the purpose of the tour but also made us feel singled out and discouraged. As a Hispanic woman and with my fiancé being Black, I felt strongly that we were being racially profiled. The way we were spoken to suggested that we were being dissuaded from considering the school, rather than welcomed or persuaded to join the community. I cannot imagine a white couple being treated in the same manner. The entire interaction felt dismissive, demeaning, and disrespectful. Nicholas also mentioned that he was leaving for vacation the next day, which left the impression that maybe he was not invested in giving us a meaningful tour so he could have a mellow last work day. Overall, what should have been an exciting and informative experience was instead extremely discouraging. I left feeling disappointed and disrespected, when I had truly hoped to leave with a positive impression of the school. EDIT: I received a call back from a lady in admissions regarding my concerns. She stated she had listened to the recording and told me, "I'm sorry you feel that way, but I didn't hear anything wrong. Sometimes the price is a deterrent for people." When I explained that Nicholas had made the comment multiple times, even when I didn't have any concerns for the price she dismissed it by saying, "I Only heard him say it once," to which I responded "He said it a few times." She replied with " Okay, two times, but I personally only heard it once," which implied I was exaggerating or lying. Instead of acknowledging our experience or offering a genuine apology, she asked me to take down my review since it mentions Nicholas' name. If she had simply validated our concerns, apologized appropriately, and not pressured me to remove my review, I would have been willing to take it down. Unfortunately, the way this was handled left me feeling even more disrespected and dismissed. I would've definitely gave you guys a second chance but this overall experience made me extremely disappointed, I am no longer choosing Concorde. read more

It's awful having a school giving up on you. After your paying for classes and going back to school after 10 years and in my case I expected having trouble getting used to the routine and yes I expected failing. But they have a policy that they said they have of "max of three fails and you out". The teachers are great but that policy isn't beneficial if there are students that took them a while to get back into school. I don't know but I felt discouraged, not even sure if school is for me at this point. Also still your credits won't transfer to another school not worth it look for another school with more support and your credits transfer almost 80k for the BSN program and the credits aren't transferable not worth it!! read more

My wife's FASFA is in good standing. Her first point of contact at Concord Career College - Aurora was the director of financial aid. The director of financial aid remembered her from a previous college. My wife and I believe she was prejudiced because of the past negative experience. This woman was rude to my wife and we think she has a personality conflict or some type of other issues with her. The school said that my wife was not welcome to attend the school. We will never trust places like this again. Even at Everest Collage where me and my wife both attended back in 2013 the Director of financial aid at this school was at Everest College before and she screwed up financial aid for people including my wife. We are very disappointed with the financial aid and how we were treated at this college. I attended college here back in 2019-2020 and my experience was extremely enjoyable. I was 19 years old attending their LPN program and I had no experience whatsoever about nursing or anything relating to it, wasn't even a cna or ma. All the teachers are great but one stood out to me in particular and that would be Friary Nguyen. In truthfulness I didn't take the program very serious and failed towards the end but the support and dedication that Friary had in me is what really hit home! She's an amazing teacher, leader and person. I always think about her words of encouragement now and then and it definitely gets me through tough times. The tuition for most of their programs are "up there" but their campus does not seem to reflect the price they charge. The counselor gave advice on how I can further my career, but their advice was very biased and made it seem as if having to go through Concorde was the only way to meet my end goal. Which was not true, and was the most expensive route. Future or interested students.. do your research and find out about more programs near you. I wasn't even able to start my program before I decided to give up on working with these people. I would never get a call back. Information on the Hesi exam and prerequisites given was false, even after asking over and over again because I knew the person helping me didn't know what she was doing or talking about. I attempted to try to get help from someone else and was ignored. I tried staying patient and studied for the hesi for over a month and scheduled it when I was ready. Never got an email confirming the appointment made so I called only to find out two days later that it was never even scheduled. THEN, I get notified that I cannot take the Hesi until I take the wonderlic and entry assessment - which I HAD done and was why i was studying for the Hesi to begin with. I gave up on this place and got into Pima within 3 hours of touring their campus. Good for those who were able to get through but for some of us, forget it. Wasted time and energy and the staff have no idea what the hell they are doing. read more

The dental hygiene department is phenomenal. It is run by a really professional and student-oriented program director (Dr. Mourady) along with the best staff possible (Ms. Lien, Ms. LeClaire, Ms. Carson, Ms. K, Ms. Q, Ms. G). She leads with character and fairness and works hard to address any detail necessary as soon as humanly possible wether they are small things or big things. Most thorough cleaning & X-rays there is - well worth the $40 - however, 6 hours in a chair spaced weeks apart for simple service hard is to endure - especially when they schedule you during planned fire alarms & commencement ceremony after a long commute only to learn you have to come back again. read more

The only reason why I am giving this school 2 stars is because the teachers are great and amazing people, and should honestly be working at another school. I understood that nursing school was going to be hard.. but everything is out of wack here. The 3rd term students accidentally were given the BSN hesi for one of there classes, and not the LPN hesi. Schedules are changed constantly and the only excuse they have is "well you knew it was accelerated" and basically go figure it out. No accommodations at all. You also have to take these CPSO classes every single term on top of your other classes. So pointless. They also play favorites, one girl in the program missed so many days but still moved on to the next term. Oh and If you have children and your baby sitter gets sick or something comes up - there is no way for you to show "documentation" for that. You will fail the class and have to retake it. SO BASICALLY - if you don't have to work, your parents or s/o pays everything for you, you don't have children and you NEVER get sick you might be able to make it through the program. read more

First of all I would give the instructors and program 5 stars but i would say that whoever is in charge of determining closures is an absolutely the worst. During the worst two snow storms they have risked students life and their personal vehicles to have students show up to school. The school already cost 40k and if students wreck there vehicles trying to get to class because if you miss so many hours you automatically fail the class! Every other school is closed and yet here Concorde is telling students it's safe enough to come into school!! Lack of respect for students and it's facility's safety is a joke. My wife Brooke has been going to this school for several months. The staff are amazing and so helpful. My wife is in the LPN program. When she first started she was concerned that she would receive enough training to be confident working in a hospital. Since day 1, she has been amazed at how serious they are. The professors expect serious students. No tardiness, no phones and don't expect to be the exception to the rule. They are expecting students to turn into quality nurses. They are preparing us to take and pass the Hesi and NCLEX EXAMS for licensure. My wife is so excited by her progress and her sense of confidence she has, due to the support of the wonderful professor staff and Dean. The staff are constantly asking if we need additional help or tutoring. My wife and I highly recommend Concorde Career College LPN program. Getting an LPN degree in less than a year is amazing. Coming from a former student, back in 06' it is my personal opinion that Concorde is not the place to go for any sort of nursing degree. It is expensive, your credits are non-transferable to a real college and you're set-up to fail. In the modern nursing world having your BSN is becoming the standard, which if you get your LPN or RN from Concorde you'll have to start from scratch to move forward. Also, nurses I've worked with from Concorde just weren't up to par like those who had gone to a community college or university. Very low passing rates. High staff turnover, which makes it hard to stay consistent in classes. Small availability for tutoring. It is accelerated, so it does move quicker (if you pass everything) if you have a job they will not work with you whatsoever. Please do your research before coming to this school. Then can kick you out if you fail more than two times, and X-ray classes are set up to weed students out. It's a lot of money to waste if it doesn't work out. I am a current student at Concorde Career College- Aurora, taking the Medical Assistant course. I have to say, I have read A LOT of bad reviews. But keep in mind, most people who will leave a review are ones who are more prone to want to slander the place of business. I have been here for 5 months with a month of class still to go and externship. That being said, the past 5 months have been great and a wonderful experience. My classmates love it as well. The only negatives I've heard are from those who don't come to school, dont do their homework, or just dont care and are failing. I have kept a 4.0 since day one and am now a student ambassador. Ive never had ANY problems with the school. I love all of the instructors I have had the pleasure of having, the Program Director, etc and so on. They are even very passionate about their mikitary students. This is a school where you aren't going to like it unless you actually try and put effort into what you are doing. 5 stars from me for sure. This is one of the worst schools to ever attend for the LPN program. They don't have enough staff to teach classes so when asking for tutoring or extra help nobody will offer it because of how busy they are. The ADON is teaching 2 terms along with doing clinical scheduling and will never offer extra help in her classes. She has played favorites and if she doesn't like you then good luck. She has slammed doors in my face, refused to make eye contact with me and has talked down to me like I'm a child. I have never felt so disrespected at any school besides concorde. If it wasn't for the ADON I wouldn't have felt this upset. This school is a waste of money and they don't care what circumstances you have going on they will either ask you to leave because you were absent to medical issues or family issues because you didn't attend school. I started the Dental Assisting Program at Concorde at the beginning of the Covid 19 shutdowns in March. The staff was so great to move all the course classes online to keep it's students safe but to continue goals moving forward. My teacher was Ms. Ruth who was excellent in making sure her students understood all the material so we could preform our jobs as Dental Assistance correctly. Although most people loved learning in the comfort of their own homes, I found myself enjoying the lab time and getting to see my classmates a few days a week. When it came time for my extern, Ms. Kim placed me in the most amazing job site, at which I was hired on when all my hours were completed. I really feel like she makes a giant effort to place each student at a site that is perfect for them! I would it is discrete for the reson that you can't have half a car recommend Concorde for anyone who is looking for a career change, at a place who supports you and truly cares about your success! read more

I'm in the nursing program at this Concorde school. I enjoy my teachers and the positive environment I experience there, it is a bit unorganized. One person working there will say one thing and another person says another thing that. So it's a bit frustrating. We're about to start a new term in just 2-3 weeks and not one person can tell our class what our new schedule will be. So it screws up the students who are paying $45,000 when a lot of us have children and jobs to worry about. IF this school can figure out what the heck was going on, I'd give it a 4 or 5 stars, but I find this to be a big problem. read more

Ms. Kim is very unkind and only cares about her success rate of placing students. She talks crap about students to other teachers in plain sight. This is unacceptable because a school should be a place you go to feel safe, not feel taunted by a TEACHER. A PROFESSIONAL. Very unprofessional and its not ok. Its her way or the highway. She basically teaches students to lie to employers, "don't say you have kids" "if you have a car that doesn't work, tell them you take the bus". She needs a reality check! But, Meekins on the other hand is great. She deserves recognition. She may be stern, but her intentions are pure. If I have three words of advice for anyone that's interested in going to this pathetic excuse for a school, it's - DON'T. DO. IT. Seriously, find another school that's actually worth your time and YOUR MONEY. If I could give this school a ZERO, I would. This is a for-profit school, and the ONLY thing that they care about is TAKING YOUR MONEY. Read the other reviews of people that have actually went here. This place is a joke, and people mean it when they say it. Their entire staff is unorganized, especially their advisors who tell students the WRONG classes to take in order to transfer in credits that people have ALREADY taken and paid for before. Because they want you to pay tuition to their classes, most classes won't transfer in. That's ridiculous in my opinion, and if you go to any other college in Colorado that isn't Concorde, they would allow you to do so - it's called GUARANTEED TRANSFER COURSES. The advisors get mad at you and are found in a bad mood for asking questions when they have NO IDEA what to tell students that are interested in a program. I was in the RN program, and decided to withdraw due to the level of unprofessionalism and lack of communication to figure out what I needed to do to make this program work for me. Work on your organization and communication Concorde staff!!! After meeting with your EXTREMELY unpleasant financial aid advisor, Nancy Disante, I will be telling EVERYONE that I know to avoid this school like the PLAGUE, and will be taking my education and my money SOMEWHERE ELSE that is actually WORTH IT and that is actually ACCREDITED!!! I do not recommend this school. I was given a very good first impression making me turn down other schools without truly researching Concorde. I did the RAD program and got 3 terms in. I had the same teacher for most of my classes. Multiple people failed and they did not bother to help up pass. The "tutor" sessions you can go to with the teacher are 10 minutes long and she won't help with positioning (the most important thing). I got the impression once I failed that it was all for the money. I told them I would not return and would go to different school to be with teachers who care and all the did was try to convince me to stay and to give them a second chance. They need to money. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO FURTHER YOUR EDUCATION AFTERWARD CONCORDE, DONT COME HERE. I am in the LPN program and none of my classes that I take here will transfer to ANY school, so in order for me to continue my education and eventually become a BSN I have to go to another school and take all the classes I took here, again. Not worth the 30k. Nothing was clear from the start, I wasn't told we were going to be drug tested (which was okay for me) but I watched my classmates panic because they weren't told this. The attendance policy was not clear. You can only miss so many days, unlike a university where you are responsible for yourself. I paid a lot of money just to become licensed and I can't even make my own decisions about when to come. I feel like a child here. You already have to teach yourself because this is a fast course so I felt like I should be able to do that by myself at home if I felt like. As long as I'm learning the stuff why does it matter if I come to class or not. I have taught myself more during this course than I've learned from an instructor. It's just sad and I should of listened to other people's a reviews. The only reason why I didn't is because it is such a short course. I REALLY REALLY REALLY do not like this school. Do NOT enroll here! All they care about is your money! Yesterday, when the Denver area had a horrendous snow storm and every other school in the area was closed, Concorde still had class. Because it is an excelerated program, that means you either risk your life, or risk your grades. You can't make up any work on your missed days. But if they had a snow day, they would have had to reschedule the missed day for a Saturday. And Concorde would rather risk your safety, than pay teachers to come on an extra day. I went to Concorde for dental assisting in 2008 graduated in 2009. I personally had a great experiance because I was there to actually learn. The teachers were great and did a very good job educating students who wanted to learn and take something from the program, of course if the teacher sees the student doesnt care about learning anything why would they make a effort, its not high school its a college for ADULTS. As long as you do your own thing and focus youll be fine. A lot of "students" there were single parents who were only in school to get money from the government not cuz they want to learn and get a career. Every student takes whatever they want from the programs. Yes, concorde promises to help you get a job after graduation blah blah so everyone instead of getting out there and looking for a job depended on concorde. I got out there with no experiance and 2 weeks after graduating I got a job making $13/hour. I have been a dental assistant for 5 years now and could not have chosen a better career. I am a EDDA and make $25 an hour and have paid off my loan. So everyone takes whatever they want from it, cuz if they take what they're given they will not be getting anywhere, so they need to stop complaining about teachers, admin this that. I am also writing a review on Concorde Career College in Aurora, Co I was enrolled in the Dental Hygiene program and after my first month of lab I was struggling extremely bad and took some test outside of concorde and discovered I had a learning disability. So I went and spoke with the president of the School Mr.Khole, he was extremely understanding and asked me what the school could do to help me and I stated if I could take a leave and go take some extra classes to help me and return to the following term 3 he said that would be fine and I was guaranteed my spot back. I waited months from May-Oct and was told to call and see if everything was looking good for me to get back in, I was given the run around and told to keep calling every week to see if anyone had dropped out or failed out. I was then told at the beginning of Nov to come and reenroll just incase there was an opening. Well I then discovered that a girl from the 1st term that started with me and failed a class was back that term retaking it, and was told that if there was an opening it would be between her and myself. Which I also felt was completely unfair considering she failed a class and I didn't and the promise I was told. So I waited needless to say and I was told a spot never opened up. I then discovered that they let the other girl in term 3 in the spot that was supposed to be mine. I was livivd so naturally I called everyone in the school and gave them a piece of my mind. I also spoke with a lady named Tamara who is in charge of re-enrollment and she continued to lie to me and say that the other girl would automatically get the spot because she was a current student. I realized it is because her financial aid was already in place and that is all concorde cares about is money. Just as you read in the other complaint it is true they will take students that don't speak english, and the turn over rate is horrendous. There was at least 5 employees fired from the months of May -July. And the program is too fast they teach you nothing because they tell you to read about 30+ chapters a week and 4test a week. What I am getting at is this school is a waist of time they only want money they don't care about the students. And their financial aid department is incompetent. read more
