I walked in here on 04/14/2026 at 01:00 PM, and I was about 5 minutes early with all paperwork already completed on my end for my Border Patrol Agent medical appointment. I wasn't taken back into an exam room until 01:40 PM--not a big deal. However, at 02:30 PM, I was taken to another exam room to wait for the doctor, and at 03:35, I finally left the exam room to ask the front desk when I was going to see the doctor since I had to go next door for a Physical Abilities Test before they closed, and I live over an hour away, so it would be ridiculous to have to drive back to this location to finish an exam that I checked in for at 01:00 PM. I told a person named Juan that I had been waiting for the doctor for over an hour, and he said, "Uh huh... sure you have," and turned around to face his computer. So I said, "'Uh huh, sure'? That's how you're going to talk to me?", and he said, "What're you gonna do about it?", in front of 5 or 6 female employees, who were nowhere nearly as bit*chy as Juan. So I said, "What am I gonna do about it!?", and the doctor who was sitting around with the staff chatting it up took me back into my room, and the doctor told me that I was being disrespectful, so I asked him how on Earth was I being disrespectful, and he said, "You're obviously slow." The doctor told me that I was "slow." At this point, I popped off. I told the doctor he was disgusting, unprofessional, etc. I don't even know what I said after that. Then the room got quiet, and he was shaking and stuttering and was like, "Well you're the one who's upset, my heartrate isn't even elevated." Bro what? He was setting paper down on imaginary surfaces while his hands were shaking. I submitted a formal complaint through the Concentra website on 01/14/2026. I haven't heard back from them about how I got mobbed by a bunch of Hispanics/Latinos... at a Border Patrol Agent medical appointment. read more

This is literally the worst medical facility I've ever been too. Im working with NMBP to donate bone marrow and they unfortunately asked me to come here. When I came in for a physical and blood, they forgot to draw my blood. So I came back and had to wait all over again. When I got my actual blood drawer, it took 3 people to complete. The first girl not being sure. It seemed like her first week on the job. I'm then contacted a week later that they STILL forgot things. I came in again and after waiting in the lobby for an hour, I got into the room and they told me it would be 1-2 hours before a doctor would see me. It's been a NIGHTMARE! DO NOT GO HERE! I'd give 0 stars if I could. I went in for a suspected UTI (waited 4.5 hours to be seen). Long story short, I subsequently spent 3 days in the ER thanks to the doctor who saw me, as they "forgot" to send home any initial antibiotics like they are supposed to (to prevent the infection from spreading any further until the culture results return; I work in the medical field, so I'm very familiar that this is common procedure, even for dogs & cats!). Only after getting admitted to the hospital and finding out the UTI had spread to my kidneys (thanks to no initial antibiotics), was I then contacted by a completely different doctor (from the one i saw) just to tell me "the original antibiotics we prescribed won't work." That's great & all, but due to your practice's medical negligence, and the fact that didn't even happened to begin with, I ended up worse off. When I attempted (on several occasions) to follow up for an explanation after the whole thing, I was only ever instructed to leave a message and wait for a call back (which never came). Have you ever had a doctor look a limb (arm/leg) of all things and have them totally dismiss your chronic pain (from work) saying "pain doesn't always mean that something's wrong." And "I'm sending you back to full duty anyway. If you don't like it, you can quit." "It's all in your head." Work won't even let me go back anyway. Thanks, Dr. Burns. Office staff were friendly and super helpful. At least they try with the amount of people they see every day from what I've seen. Note: first x-ray from a year ago (at a different location) showed an old fracture with a bone that healed improperly and they claim that "their" second x-ray looks normal. I've had at least two more healthcare providers take a look and they both told me by palpating it that something is wrong. Don't go to Concentra Tacoma. read more

I recently been to this location 2x (without a choice) for an employment drug screen and physical for two potential employers. The first time, I sat in the waiting room for 1 hour then in the back for 45 minutes. I get it, they are short staffs or for what ever reasons. I can wait and I'm getting pay for it anyway. But what really bothers me was that they rushed and didn't do what they were supposed to do. They didn't take my vitals, they didn't get my weight or anything. I sat there for a few hours just to do some simple strength test. I got a call 10 minutes after I left them asking me for my weight, height , blood pressure, pulse, and so on cause they forgot to do that.... Lucky for them, I am in the medical field myself and able to take my own vital signs and provided to them. The second time I went back for more in depth comprehensive exam... I sat in the lobby again for almost 2 hours before I was called back. Meanwhile, 10 people came in after me within that 2 hours already came and gone. Mind you, I had an appointment set up almost a month prior but still sat and wait longer than those that were walk in. That's all fine, when I got back, I did my pee test and that was fine. When it came to do my vision test, the room was so dark, darker than many businesses, and they asked me to do my vision test. Fine, I have my glasses and I'm able to see far and near. When I looked at the board, it was not standard eye exam board. On top of tall that, it was so worn out that it made me have double vision. The book containing color blind test were so worn out that the pages were ripped and whited out but I'm fortunate not color blind so was able to see the patterns. The hearing test booth, it was in a room and the booth was like an Amature DIY built that I can hear conversations outside the exam room still. The headset, they don't clean them and there were hair all over it. I had to ask for wipes to clean it as I don't want ears infection from the dirtiness. The hearing test were not accurate as it should be. Their test stated I have hearing lost and would need hearing aid. Basically, they lied on the report and I had to go out and get a hearing test elsewhere spending money out of my pocket just to have an accurate exam. End results: I have 20/20 and 20/25 vision my hearing is normal for my age and passed the employment requirements. Drug test a pass. This place wasted my time and my potential employer's money for not delivering the accurate exam. I'll be filing a complaint. read more

So I showed up an hour & a half before they closed as a walk-in & they tell me they can't do a drug test or physical in that amount of time. I spoke with the staff and Dr. Carina Burns, the head doctor as told by the nurse, at the Tacoma Location via phone to help with translation for a family member with a head injury they had sustained at work. This is the most unprofessional office I have ever dealt with. From my understanding, HIPPA policies would have been violated for speaking to me without confirming nor asking about my relation to my family member. WITHOUT having an initial exam, going on 30 minutes of waiting, the doctor entered the patient's room and argued that the injury wasn't large enough to result in the tests and imaging that we would of liked to have done. The patient's worry that they might have an internal head injury due to heavy headaches and pain was immediately swept under the rug and told that since this was a work injury if we really felt as if the issue was larger than presented we should go to the Emergency Room. During our conversation Dr. Burns emphasized that since she had a Medical Degree while I didn't, that I wouldn't understand what a scientific decision looked like. For a health care provider to undermine a patient's pain level and thoughts, while trying to "one up" herself for a having a medical degree is a terrible, awful feeling. A patient is not a scientific experiment. This is a real life human being who is having issues, therefore sought out an opinion of a medical doctor. It is my understanding that after my 10 minute conversation with the doctor about why the patient wasn't qualified for imaging, the patient was left to wait for another 30 minute for their actual exam with a different provider. read more

Oh my goodness, the reviews aren't lying. This place is absolutely terrible. I was a walk in for Urgent Care for a broken ankle/foot. The wait time was 2-3 hours before I was even put into an exam room. The nurses are exceptionally untrained here. There were three nurses at one time in the room with me all trying to figure out how to add my medicines to my file. At the exam room I saw a male doctor who was rather enthusiastic about how I broke my foot but he wanted to send me to a PT "just incase he's smoking crack", a statement he repeated several times in our exam. The worst however is the staff. I was left in the exam room for over an hour after Leland said I was ready to go they just needed to get me paperwork. After an hour, the nurse came in said "oh you don't need paperwork" then escorted me out. 24 hours later, still no paperwork. No PT referral. No orthopedic referral. I called the front office and was met with the absolute rudest staff I have ever experience in a "medical" facility. They literally yelled at me when I was explaining I needed the referral. The "manager" (who denied she was the manager several times) was the worst. She quite literally screamed at me then hung up on me. Never once on the call did I raise my voice or use any derogatory names or language. You cannot call them and have a respectable conversation it appears. I paid for an exam and X-rays yet they refuse to provide the paperwork I need as well as the X-rays I purchased. On top of it, I was told if I show up in person to pick up the records I will be escorted off for "trespassing". This is wild. Again, I never yelled, never cursed, never called them names nor was I disrespectful however the "manager" was clearly having a bad day and took it out on me. I cannot stress enough, do not go here. Seriously. If you're coming here for Urgent Care you're better off staying at home than going here. They will not help you. read more

The reviews I read beforehand had me a little worried but happy to say I had nothing but a positive experience. if your employer gives you the choice to choose another clinic immediately choose it. I hate this place. One of my first visits here I noticed that the paperwork pretty much says they will sell your information but your care is not contingent on you opting out of this. Suspiciously, there's no place to opt out of that. I brought this up to the desk staff and they looked puzzled. The overweight lady with the "manager hair" Nikki does not listen, but loves to bark irrelevant facts to try and establish dominance. Nikki just kept talking over me and stating that I could not receive care if I did not give them my phone number. I repeated, as I had already told her, that me providing my phone number is not the issue, you selling it is. I also tried to explain to her what the paperwork is telling me but again she just kept repeating that I needed to give them a phone number or I would not be seen. She's an angry, ridiculouslady inside and out. I was going to just give a fake number and go on with the process, but once I got called and brought back, the rude behavior from Nikki was too persistent to ignore. She abruptly interrupts, disregard, patience in order to scold or question other employees abruptly while these employees are in the middle of helping patients. She stepped in between myself, and the employee helping me as I was talking and decided to start talking to the employee helping me and rolled her eyes at me. I said something, and she gave a snide comment. From that point on I cursed her out, grabbed my belongings and left. I ended up telling my employer what happened and they found another clinic for me to go to. This doesn't seem to be the first time Nikki's caused problems for people. Surprise surprise I've even seen her name in on yelp. visit I've been to the office to try and get a drug screening done three times and turned away over technicalities each time that could've been resolved by them telling me all of these things upfront the first time I came in or having a tiny but of knowledge on how their own business operate. One time I was turned away because the receptionist said there was no box checked in a section that they needed in order to run the right test for me, so I left to find out what box needed checking. Come to find out this is something she should have easily known by the other documents that I gave her. They just don't know what they're doing. This is the one time that I actually want the job that I'm taking this test for otherwise I'd skip getting this job, solely to not to have to deal with these people at this concentra location. You can see all the other reviews they're not lying and at this point I feel like it's common knowledge that this location is garbage, but there's really no other choice in Tacoma and sadly lots of employers in this area use them. read more

Nichole M. Creech "Nikki" is the COD of the facility. She is a bully, a manipulator, a narcissist, a hypocrite. Her customer service isn't up to par. She is not a good fit to be managing a bunch of MA's. She is not a good fit to be running patients when she has no empathy for anyone but herself. She gossips all day to her staff that she chose as leads! And then turns around to belittle her staff that actually works their asses off! I've went to HR and made complaints a long with many other employees. Nothing has been done. And nothing has changed! I was terminated due to not being able to handle the bullying anymore... literally in an office being cornered by the COD and my lead while they ask me what my "issue" is repeatedly and continue to bully me. I've had my phone snatched out of my hand the next day by the COD aggressively. Was injured from the incident and still nothing was done! What does it take to make a change for the better?! The Medical Assistants are being worked to death, while the COD has her select few people that can sit on their asses all day. We're expected to help with phones, help check in, help check out, help this patient, help that patient, while the select few sit around and belittle everyone. Good luck to anyone who goes to this place. I enjoyed working here with my peers. So sad that HR and higher up couldn't have taken the correct measures to handle and take care of this and make the facility better. I was fired because I couldn't take the harassment and bullying. Rather then HR doing something they just fired me. When I reported I was being harassed and bullied multiple times. Such a sad system they have. Something NEEDS TO BE DONE! I came here for a work-related injury they had me see a nurse practitioner who screwed up my diagnosis. I was sent to go to physical therapy and the following week I saw a "doctor" at Concentra- not the same nurse practitioner. He made a few comments I didn't really give it any mind and several weeks later I got notified from Labor and industry that they were denying my claim because , "medical opinion must indicate a casual relationship between the description of the injury and the diagnosed condition." In other words, but I told them about the incident he apparently wrote something else. Saturday a lot of employees are sent to this clinic but it's a cheesy part of town very ghetto I would have rather have just gone to my regular primary Care I wouldn't recommend this place at all read more

As far as drug screening places go, it was fine. Small but fast and efficient for my visit. 5 people in front of me and I was in and out in 20 minutes. The office is split and you don't need an appt for drug test side, just walk in. The physicals side you will be waiting and just up the street a block is the physical therapy office, so pay attention or you'll end up at the wrong one. read more
