ComTranslations offer their freelance translators such a ridiculously low payment (about 1/10 of the usual rates (in Germany), that no customer can expect any quality. Of course some translators are obliged to take the jobs anyway. Then they don't pay them for months, sometime only after you threat with legal prosecution. A shame for the industry! read more

I did work for ComTranslations 5 months ago and they still have not paid me. On top of that, the rate they offered to pay was pretty low but I did it anything thinking it would not take long but it was a very tedious, stressful, time-consuming assignment for which I had to download several different softwares and match audio with the subtitles I translated. A project that took me 20 something hours and I'm getting a hundred bucks. NOT WORTH working for this company! read more
