History

Established in 2008.

Principal trainer, Rhonda Silverton has been teaching people of all ages how to use computers since 1995. While teaching small groups, it became apparent, for seniors and older adults, in particular, that there is a need for private individualized, in-home training. Seniors know what they want and need and cookie cutter, community-based programs aren't always effective. Many seniors prefer to work on their own computer in the comfort of their own home. For this reason, Rhonda decided to specialize in the senior market to fulfill this ever increasing need. Computer Generation prides itself on a system of computer training which is professional, custom tailored, non-threatening and convenient for seniors.

Meet the Business Owner: Rhonda S.

Rhonda has a passion for computers herself. She has been working with computers since 1986, before the era of Microsoft Windows. She has grown with the technology and understands the important role they play in today's high-tech world. Her mission is to create a safe, non-threatening environment for older adults and seniors to learn, to gain a sense of empowerment and to make computers an exciting, integral part of their lives.

This was the worst experience that I had in my life!!! I…read morebought a TEF PREPARATION COURSE, and after 3 classes I was not feeling comfortable with the teacher's didactics (the teacher spent the entire class just doing examples from YouTube, with her cat disturbing the video all the time and she never did the TEF before in her life), so I decided to ask them to change the teacher for me. After a couple of weeks, they couldn't find a new teacher, so I asked to receive a refund for the rest hour that I didn't do. The major problem here is that on the date of the exam I found out that the amount that the teacher taught me, she taught me wrong. For example, she told me that in the speaking part, the TEF allows 10 minutes to prepare for each section, and when I was doing the test I found out that they only gives us the time to read the topic. Another problem is that she said that there are some questions in the listening part, that we can hear the audio 2 times, but on the day of the exam that did not happen. And now I'm requesting a refund for the hours that I did the teacher taught me wrong because it's not fair to pay for something like that. They are saying that I needed to tell them in the first lesson what was happening, but how could I find out that? If I'm hiring a teacher to teach me something that I don't know, I need to believe her, otherwise, what would be the point of hiring a teacher?
