Comptoir des Halles is across the street from the Thomas Henry Museum.
There are 2 parts to the business. Facing the museum is a coffee/tea shop. They also serve pastries, burgers etc. Attached is a small market/culinary shop. This side has an extensive cheese selection and a full selection of fresh and cured meats. There is also fresh fruits and vegetables. There is a very nice wine section, as well. They also sell cooking utensils and meal kits.
The coffee shop service was quick and efficient. The server was friendly and helped us order despite our poor knowledge of French. A great place to get a bite and wait out the museum's lunch closure! read more
