Very affordable and the operation/pickups are flawless.. my whole neighborhood uses them -- that says it all.

They were great for years but they have become unreliable Don't pick up on day promised. Called them and they replied driver took picture of driveway and the bag wasn't there. Bag was 10 feet away next to curb so it wouldn't block driveway. Same place been leaving yard waste for 30 years. Was told they will get it next week but will have to put bag right next to driveway not 10 feet away next to curb as I have done for 30 years. So their new driver was able to take a picture but wouldn't simply pick up a bag of grass clippings. read more

Compost Connection hasn't picked up my yard waste bags for the past two weeks. When I called about it, I was told that pickups had occurred for the last two weeks. I tried to explain I saw them drive by without picking up a bag, and I was called a liar by the office manager. When I filed a formal complaint with the BBB, the office manager informed me that my bags weren't picked up because I put too many on the curb. That's not a regulation - I understand that I have to pay more if I want more than 5 bags to be picked up in a given week. I'm asking for Compost Connection to pick up my allotted 5 bags a week. I've even tried to pay for the overage, but the office manager wants me to pay for the 10 bags that weren't picked up on 11/28 and 12/5. I've also asked to be routed to the owner to discuss this issue, and I am still waiting for a response. Go with another company that will treat you with respect. read more

They haven't picked up at my residence for 3 weeks. I understand the power outage affected their business, but this is ridiculous. I called them out on this and they got very defensive. Do your job and you won't get complaints. It's not that hard! read more

Not sure if we should be upset with Compost Connection or Republic Services regarding their service. We've been told that Republic Services' outsourced their routes to Compost Connection to pick up yard waste, yet we haven't been serviced in over 2 months but prepaid for the service. No one can give me a straight, logical, truthful answer as to why this has happened. Unprofessional for sure. read more

Compost Connection is a great family-owned and operated company that's been in business since I don't know how long. They pick up in my Mom's neighborhood and we are very grateful for their service. This has been a good value. I've used Compost Connection for two years. I signed up last year when I needed to catch up on yard work, signing up for the 2 bag/week pickup, using the 2 bags as a way to motivate myself and to budget my time (since I was paying for it - it's around $90/year as of now - I wasn't going to let a week go by without getting what I've paid for). It worked. My yard is tidy. My fence is clear of grape vines. I don't have to work around the city's fall and spring pick-up schedules and find a place to stash yard waste in between; I can do the work when I already have the time. I haven't had to call customer service, so can't answer for that experience, but the collection service is straightforward and the only mailed communication you get from C.C. is the calendar of pick-up weeks and the renewal notification. I've never had them miss a pick-up. read more

We're very glad we signed up for this service! It's so nice to put your yard waste to the curb and have it gone on a weekly basis - and know it's going to be composted instead of to a landfill. I've called their office a few times for clarification and they've always been very nice and over the top with their customer service. My neighbors also have the service and have been happy with it. read more

Compost Connection occasionally misses picking up your bag. That is not a big deal; mistakes happen. Their website says to call them if bags are missed. On two occasions in the last 6 weeks, I have called to tell them they missed our bags (clearly visible and at curb). Each time they told me that I was at fault for not having the bags where they should be. The website says to have them "at the curb by 7:00 am" -- and my bag (both times) was at the curb by 7:00 am. Why do they blame the customer when they missed the bag?! Again mistakes happen but take ownership and offer to come get the bag -- don't blame the customer. Am switching to new service. read more

This company has missed our pickup again and everyone else in our neighborhood who has paid for this service. After returning from work Thursday evening and seeing the bags still on the curb, I called Compost Connection Friday morning and left a message, bags still on the curb and no return call.....very frustrating. Two of our neighbors had it with this company and cancelled their service. This may be it for us too. read more

I couldn't be happier with my service. I went to put my bags at the curb before work this morning and three broke open so I had to leave them by the fence and planned to fix them when I got home from work. Much to my surprise, they collected them anyway and cleaned up the mess I left. They went above and beyond what I expected and now I am a loyal customer who will tell everyone how much I appreciate their service. read more
