When my mother and I arrived, we waited were told to wait in the waiting room, they were getting her ready. We waited about 30-45 minutes before a CNA came to get us. By this time, my uncle arrived with clothes for my grandmother. When we got to the back, and briefly spoke to the nurse at the station. She told us that she was a little agitated and would not calm down, so she gave her morphine to calm her down, before we got to see her to let her know we were there to calm her. My mother and I noticed my grandmother was in the same gown she had on from earlier that morning. This was the same gown which she soiled. At this point we both looked at each other and wondered, what were they doing the entire time we were in the lobby since my grandmother was in the bed in her same spoiled clothing. I then asked the nurse for a towel, she asked what for. I told her my mom and I would clean her up. She said no, she thought the CNA did it and she would get her to help. I assured her it was no problem, and we would do it to make sure my grandmother was clean to our standards. She told us she would get it together and she would put a hospital gown on her instead of her clothes. So, my mom and I stood and talked while they began cleaning my grandmother and removing her clothes. They removed the oxygen and my grandmother was humming, as she always did. The nurse asked us to step out. Although we were hesitant, because we didnt know what for, we went. I told my grandmother we were stepping in the hall and we would be right back to talk to her and pray with her. We stood in the hallway near the nurses station. The nurse left out after a minute and went back into the room, the CNA left out and put the bedding in the soil bin and went down the hall to continue her rounds with other patients. The nurse came out again and noticed we were standing there and told us we can go sit in the lobby. We assured her we were fine because she should be finished. She went back in the room and not even a minute later came out, crying and said she had passed. We all looked at each other and said what?!; because we weren't out the room for a good 3 minutes. We came back in the room and she was fixed nicely in the bed with a hospital gown on. The nurse stood there crying and apologizing as if she knew my grandmother or had a connection with her. I feel as a nurse, you know when someone is transitioning and she knew we were in the hallway. She could have EASILY told us, I'm sorry I think she is transitioning if you want to be with her. We were robbed of those last moments with her. We hoped to be there with her and pray and give her comfort and that was stolen from us. When we were in the room with her, they came in and kept trying to make us leave until we told them no! I would NEVER recommend this place. We did NOT deserve this kind of treatment and it is unfortunate my grandmother didnt get to hear us in her last moments as she wished. Instead, she died with complete strangers around when we weren't even 100 feet away from her and not notified!

Not only were the Nurses and Staff so kind to my sister, but they were very kind to me as well and I appreciated that. My sister gets so very cold the nurses she had that day were great at keeping her wrapped in warm blankets. This may seem like a small thing but sometimes it is just the small things that can help make a procedure go better. The procedure itself only took less than an hour and so we were in and out. I think it took longer in recovery than it did to check in and have it done. In no way am I complaining, I think its great when things work that way. I think the General is laid out very well and the signage makes it easy to follow and get to where you need to be. There is a very nice coffee shop on the lower level, not too far from the waiting rooms.

Not only did she treat me like a frightened child needing to hear false promises, the day after she COMPLETELY missed a blood sucrose level more than TWICE the minimum for full-fledged Type 2 diabetes. DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE IT!! The COMBO of Type 2 with the basic terminal problem has had multiplied effects on my digestive system that kept me housebound for 6 months meanwhile. I had to figure all this out using AI after I suspected something odd. NEVER EVER EVER see a nurse when you can INSIST on seeing a doctor as your right. Oh they also messed up my insurance and told me it was my problem to solve..
