As for the people who left bad reviews because they didn't get a response from back from him when they inquired: I don't think that's very fair. They should have checked his website for important, current information on his availability first before judging him. When I first looked for lawyers on Yelp, I saw the good reviews on him, and I went to his website. I appreciated that at that time on his website it stated clearly that he was full with current cases, and not accepting new ones. This means he's busy because he is excellent, not that he's too snobby to take your case or looking to make as much money as he can. If I had just looked up his phone number texted/called him at that time, I might not have been called back either. Instead I checked back every few weeks until I saw that his availability was open (the "not accepting new clients" notice was gone) and I promptly contacted him and became a happy client. I felt like they understood my case. After that though, they were mostly pushing me to "settle" which I could have done without paying what I paid. They weren't bad. They helped me through the paperwork and such that was needed but again, I really needed someone on "my side" to help me be creative to push back and save me from the headaches her lawyer was (and still is) putting me through. Divorces are tough. Especially for the bread winners. The laws in California are tough. So I don't fault them, but I've also heard success stories from others which I didn't really benefit from in my case. Looking back, it seemed a bit on the expensive side as well for what was done.
