During phone call to Carrie Homburg, the branch manager, I was forwarded to another person to answer my questions. The person who answered the phone, wish I had written down her name, was so rude and disrespectful I couldn't believe it. She started with saying in Idaho the title companies don't contact the lender they just wait for the information on closing. Mind you we were supposed to close the next day. I said I couldn't imagine working like that, how do you know it hasn't slipped through the cracks? She responded, "Have you ever been to Idaho? I don't know how it works in California, but here in Idaho that's how it works." I'm not sure why she would even reference California because my Dad is from Oregon. Just a totally rude and disrespectful conversation. The reason we were calling is because he needed the pre-closing summary to go over it before he is in front of a traveling notary. I don't think that is too much of an ask for an 86 year old. Mind you he is paying for closing and I don't think that is any way to treat a customer. Very rude and disrespectful company. When I met Juliana she said that she loves working with first time home buyers, but specifically, loves working with people who fit her personality. When she said this I thought, "I like her personality and I am a first time homebuyer. Seems like a good fit." And we began working together. Out of all the realtors I've dealt with (@7), Cristi McMahan was by far the worst!!! First, she…read moreinsisted we needed many tens of thousands of dollars worth of updates (we did some, but not others), then when we went to list, she suggested we list at $200,000 less than a house across the street recently sold for (it had same exact floorplan, built by same builders in same year as ours--although it had a couple more renovations). We insisted on listing at $65 above her advised price and got an offer ($30K below our asking) a couple of weeks later. We decided to take it, knowing the home inspection would come back solid. But even though it did, the buyers kept asking and finagling to upgrade things that were not broken. Cristi thought we should simply give them everything they wanted. We were the ones to have to stand up to her and say No. We conceded some, to end up selling at $170,000 less then the house across the street, but Cristi did not stand up for us at all (she seemed to be more on the buyers' side than on ours), and we would have gotten way far less then we did if we'd listened to her "advice". She is either completely incompetent or had some ulterior motive--either way, BAD!!!
