This company charged us $650 to mow our 1 acre property. They came with one push mower, their…read moreriding mower was 'broken'. The work was fine but...they charged an hour travel time to our property and extra again because their crew took an hour and a half lunch because their truck battery was dead and needed a jump. We'd already charged it once while the crew was at our property. Before the crew was done, we noticed that a window on our RV was shattered, apparently due to a rock that was thrown during trimming. Accidents happen and the owner sent an email saying they would pay for the window. The owner apparently changed his mind and wanted the claim to go through his insurance. Ok. Two weeks later we are still waiting for an insurance approval or denial and a late charge was added to the bill for the mowing.

The crews have consistently arrived on time, greeted us warmly, worked quickly and steadily, and each time they have headed out, they left us feeling both relieved that we didn't have to do the work ourselves anymore and pleased that the yard looked better than when we did it. As I watched them work outside this morning, I said to my husband, "That's the best money we ever spent.". Thank you so much for taking such good care of us.

Our pup is so much more relaxed being with us out there. It took only a couple of times for her to experience where she could and couldn't go. We were very comfortable with how Ryan worked with her. Often she is out there now without the special collar and stays within the boundaries. This was a gift to her and our family.

The owner is helpful and is always available to come out for any needed maintenance. Call the owners of the Colorado branch, Drew and Karen Knutzen, at 303-438-8989. They will be able to explain how the Dogwatch System is different from other systems that often allow dogs to regularly escape from - even when wearing their collars. The feature we like is the two-step "warning zone" that helps the dogs stop and think before venturing into the shock zone. Our dogs' collars give them an advance audible warning BEFORE they enter the shock field. This is important because, with some systems, the dogs are past the shock field and outside the yard before they realize what they have done. After that, they are completely uncontained and are afraid to come home for fear of the shock field. They also eventually learn that the shock is mild and they lose their fear of approaching it. We often have dogs wander into our yard wearing their electronic collar that was ineffective at keeping them at home. With the Dogwatch, it usually takes only one shock for the dogs to feel aversive to the boundary. Once they know where the boundary is, they never, ever approach it again, because the warning beep on their collars heads them off before ever getting into the shock zone. So, instead of the shock boundary becoming something they get used to and learn to ignore, with the Dogwatch system, it is the warning beep that keeps them from ever approaching the boundary, thus keeping the shock field a place of mythical awe that they never get used to and always avoid. Thus, if properly trained and consistently used, it is very, very effective. If used correctly and if you invest the time into training your dog to the system, I really think it is the best you can buy. They are expensive, but reliable and first-rate protection for your dog. With our system purchase, they included an initial training session with our dogs so that we had a very good foundation for success. Whenever we have added a new dog to our family, we have paid a fee for another initial training session. The only time our system has failed us is when we get lazy and fail to always put their collars on. https://www.dogwatchco.com/
