I was so impressed with the informational markers on site, I willl make it a point to come back for a tour. Maybe the guides will be dressed in era appropriate attire. Anyway, don't miss out on learning one of the pillars of Fort Worth.

More than anything, I simply enjoy the grandeur and architecture of the homes from a bygone era. This area is also a great place to ride one's bicycle. Right before Elizabeth Boulevard turns into Page heading east, there is a park with many benches and plenty of shade for rest and relaxation.

The landscaping is well taken care of but inside does not smell so fresh. The steps are steep and intimidating. I don't like heights. The Security Officers were very nice and helpful. The Gentleman explained to be where I needed to go. He was also friendly when I asked him questions. There's a small Museum to the left. It was pretty busy. I saw a kid doing a book report for class, along with a few other visitors. I ran into a Police Officer and he told me where to go too. The ladies in the office went the extra mile to help. Parking was near by. You just scan and pay. I saw two Brides getting their Bridal Portraits. It was such a nice moment. The fourth floor has a colorful Rotunda that many people enjoy seeing. This is definitely a unique Courthouse with lots of pictures inside. I would definitely recommend this courthouse.

It is very sleek and has several plaques memorializing Phyllis J. Tilley. It is right on the Trinity Trails as you travel north by bicycle out of Trinity Park toward downtown. I was very please with my find, and will definitely go back many times for a visit. By the way, it is very bicycle-friendly.

As well the maker spot is an amazing resource from their quilting and sewing machines, 3d printer and other things you can use at the library. They also have a pretty good summer reading program. Oh, the hours I have spent in this library. Some good, some bad…read more For students, this is the primary space to find a guaranteed quiet space for work, to print using your MavID, where to go to utilize the FabLab, or to get Einstein Bagels. The basement is a more open student area, with vending machines. Additionally, if you walk down there and immediately look to your left, you should see exercise bikes and treadmills fitted with surfaces to read or study while working out. There are only a couple, so they are first come, first serve. The 6th floor is a big open space with very little furniture, and offices. Great view from the window, however. The other floors are a mix of "quiet floors" and study floors, and the legend on each floor should tell you. The majority of the students hang on floor 2, which is not a quiet floor, but offers the freedom to talk, numerous desktop computers that can be utilized logging in with your MyMav credentials and a tutoring station. Additionally, if you are looking for a small convenience store, this is your spot. Nearly every floor has study rooms that require a reservation. This is the biggest downside - you have to scan the QR code, or type the website, and when you do, you will notice that most rooms are reserved for months out. If you want to reserve a room (particularly one for midterms or finals) I suggest exploring your options by the 3rd week of the semester. The library is 24 hours (with a few exceptions), but if you are a guest (not a student, or a student that does not have a UTA ID) then you will be asked to leave at midnight when UTA Police come around for ID check. From what I have been told, this is due to a previous issue with homeless people sleeping in the library. If you wish to take advantage of the library, but you are not a student, a drivers license will grant you access at the front desk, and the second floor has a guest computer that you can login to. If you can, check out the trees directly in front of the library during the holiday season - the trees are decorated with UTA blue and orange lights. Happy studying!
