My son is currently finishing up his second year at His Kids Christian Preschool, and I cannot say…read moreenough great things about his teachers, their program, and their Director. After taking a tour, I knew this was the place for us. Our son needed a place to work on his social and emotional skills. I loved that his teacher Marianne Williams made us feel at ease right away. She asked us what our goals were for our son for that year and I was very honest with her that I wasn't too concerned with the academic part (although they do an AMAZING job with that!) I was more concerned with him trying new things/experiences, coming out of his shell, and being able to make handprint art. He refused to do handprint art for me at home which sounds silly but that was a real goal for us! Mrs. Williams had our son making handprint art within the first month of starting school! I loved that she met each child in her class where they were and worked on their individual goals to help them achieve their best self while also teaching an amazing curriculum. She really helped our son become more confident with himself and try new things. We loved seeing how much he progressed throughout his first year. We requested Mrs. Williams for his second year there because I'm pretty sure our son would have refused to go to school if he didn't have her as his teacher again! We were very lucky that she teaches both a T/TH Preschool class and a M/W/F Pre-Kindergarten class so that he could have her two years in a row. Her Assistant Sue Capaldi goes above and beyond to make the classroom a fun and exciting place to learn. They really make every second they spend with the children count. My son will be going to Transitional Kindergarten at His Kids next year and I'm so thankful we have another year with them because he asked the other day if he could go to His Kids until he was 100 years old. Once you meet the Director Nicole Lewis you'll realize pretty quickly how amazing she is! She has made His Kids her life's work and it shows. She is truly dedicated to this school. Mrs. Lewis greets all of the students by name and even makes it a point to learn all of their siblings names so she can say hello to them too during pick up and drop off. She really makes the preschool feel like a family. She does a lot of little fun things to make the experience magical for your kids like having a special gift on their birthdays and constantly changing the hallway and front window with seasonal/holiday decorations of your child's picture and name which they love finding. All of that takes so much time but you can tell she does it for the joy of the kids. If you are looking for the best preschool in the area then look no further. We have been incredibly blessed to be a part of the His Kids Family and have just loved his teachers and everyone who has looked after our son. We cannot wait for our youngest son to attend next year alongside his big brother!

They disregard the current development of a child..they were more concerned with the readiness in January while kindergarten didn't start until 8 months later..the appproach of the 5k staff was much like a cookie cutter mold..if your child didn't fit the mold, his or her self esteem was secondary!!!! They even send 5 year olds to the office if they don't comply...Absolutely crushing...The teachers are type A personality at that level and really shouldn't be there.

Although this has been true in part, they have a severe housing crisis on this campus. Housing is easy and plentiful for new recruits but after that, you are on your own and scrambling in this Lord of the Flies scenario. My son will now have to commute an hour and a half each way. This is very disappointing

My husband and I hesitated to hire a tutor for our 11th grader in IB Math because we felt that (1)…read moreit is the school's responsibility to teach, and (2) we wanted our son to feel that he didn't need a tutor. Also, we knew that tutoring can be expensive, and we weren't sure how effective it would be. However, it soon became clear that our son wasn't getting thorough instruction at school -- the explanations weren't clear enough, and the homework problems weren't proving to be good practice for the tests. Our neighbor highly recommended Dan Chinburg at Lionheart Tutoring (he had tutored two of her children in math and SAT practice) so we contacted him, and we're so glad that we did. After the first session with Dan our son showed immediate improvement. Everything became so much clearer for him. Additional sessions have been a great support and confidence-builder for him. Initially our son didn't want a tutor, but he likes Dan's low-key style and looks forward to the sessions.

My daughter has used tutors her entire life due to learning disabilities and I can say that Mr. Chinburg is professional, proficient, reliable, calm, compassionate and really cares about how his students do. He not only is fantastic at tutoring, but he has the common sense as to how to approach teachers, professors, faculty to best benefit your child and improve their grades and scores. My daughter is a student at the University of Pennsylvania and she has been on the Dean's list, will graduate with highest honors and much of this is due to Mr. Chinburg. He is also very flexible and tries to make himself readily available which is why he is careful as to how many students he takes on and will not take your child if he does not feel he will benefit the student. If your child is lucky enough to have Dan he will surely benefit and you as a parent need not worry. Dan also helped my daughter with many applications and if you need his services for applications when applying to college or graduate school he is great. I think Dan is really a find and well worth anything you pay.

They had a back to school picnic with activities, face painting, a bounce house and water ice truck which gave us the opportunity to meet other parents. With a $600.00 per month tuition, you would expect more. He managed to have 5 different teachers in that time frame and when we asked the teachers "why" they were leaving, some said, "we aren't being paid enough". Really, with a tuition as high as this, where is all this money going? I was appalled at the lack of control they had over the classroom. It looked like a circus when I went to pick him up. I can tell you that there are smaller, more affordable options in the area and my son learned so much more there. I had been warned about Goddard Schools how you're just a number and everyone was so right. Obviously this is not my real name so I can tell you that I am being totally honest with this review. As you can see the response was a typical one from this facility.
