Lauren does a great beard for sure! Just tried this place and will be back for sure! They got in me in with little notice and helped coach me on how to maintain between visits read more

Ed has consistently given me amazing haircuts and beard trims. I'm an older guy and I have no clue how to trim my own beard, but Ed has done an amazing job every time I've gotten in to see him. read more

Called last minute and they were able to fit me in same day. Awesome shop with a cool vibe. Only had the opportunity to get a haircut from Lauren but she did an outstanding job. I have medium hair length and look for more than just a taper fade so it is very refreshing to have someone who knows what's up. She's also easy to talk to and easy to get on the same page with. Def recommend this place for medium to long length hair men. Ask for Lauren. read more

I'm bringing all my boys (4) back to the Commonwealth to get their trim from Alex. His work has is not just hip and cool, it's artwork! Glad to have a cool place go lounge and not have to worry about how it is going to come out. Great place, great vibe, Money well spent read more

I'm so glad I booked an appointment with Ed! I have a new beard and almost made the mistake of trimming it myself. Ed gave me a great haircut and blended it perfectly with my beard. read more

great haircut with Ed. the place is nice and clean, and there is plenty of parking at the shopping center where it's located.

Lauryn is the best. I have used her for 5 years. Top notch service at a good price. Book ahead as she is very busy

I was in need of a nice beard trim the day before my wedding. I looked up some places that seemed like possibilities and chose to go to Commonwealth. What a great choice! They understood my situation and worked me into their full schedule. The experience was awesome! I look forward to a return visit and recommend them to other gentlemen looking for a true barber and shave encounter. read more

Great haircut and great ambiance! (And the all red Toronto Bluejays uniforms were worn because it was Canada Day!)

My husband got his hair/ beard cut by Ed. Ed did a phenomenal job, he listened and advised my husband on what would look best and then delivered the best haircut I've seen on my husband since we've been together! From now on we will be coming to Ed! Also the place has a really cool vibe, I liked the atmosphere. read more

Commonwealth Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Stevenson Ranch, California

Needed a haircut for my wedding day so I scheduled 2 weeks in advance for Saturday the 22nd. Confirmed it is for Saturday as I even asked about what time they are open until on weekends. I show up early on Saturday for them to tell me they accidentally scheduled me for the 27th which is a Thursday AFTER my wedding day. They said they have no spots for me and were not willing to accommodate me despite me calling weeks in advance for the appointment and not even being at fault for the scheduling error. Luckily Pro Beauty Salon was right next door, and after explaining that I had a wedding in 2 days and you guys screwed me, they were able to squeeze me in and cut my hair on the spot. Thanks Commonwealth for inadvertently helping me find a new place to get my hair done. Im sure you do fine haircuts, but you can learn a few things about customer service and accommodating customers for your mistakes. read more

10/10, excellent barbers and great atmosphere. Will be coming back for as long as I am in the area!

I have been going to Commonwealth for years. Lauryn cuts my hair. I love every cut!!! the shop is clean, barbers friendly. they use quality products. AND their prices are very fair....... read more

I will not recommend this place to anyone, I had appointment for 2 PM first time customer I was nine minutes late due to thanksgiving traffic, I walk in, was told they can't help me. I ask why I'm nine minutes late and I notice she has another client sitting on the chair already started with a haircut like maybe 15 minutes. This is beyond ridiculous to waste Customer's time to not even call at 2 o'clock to mention are you coming if not we're giving your spot to somebody else. They should have a customer grace. At least 10 minutes do not go to the spot you're wasting your time! The girl at the front desk I didn't even apologize. They completely wasted my time in a week Ahead I had to make appointment for a bullshit spot.. STAY AWAY - A normal barber would've called maybe 1:55 or at 2 o'clock to see if the customer still coming or not not instead they gave my spot to someone else for being 9 min late A true iconic morons. read more

Great first experience here. This barber shop is clean and staff is friendly. Two levels and both have a comfy couch while you wait. They do take walk ins but I'd recommend booking an appointment online since they are pretty busy. Online booking app is very user friendly and quick. You get a text message for appt confirmation with reminders (which is great for me). I booked with Alex and he is great. I have found my new barber since moving up here (and I've tried two other barber shops in the area). He is personable, friendly, and is great at what he does. read more

This place is busy for a reason. Make sure to book your appointment through their app. Been going to Andre and Grant for years, they have never disappointed. Customer service is excellent with a welcome home feeling. read more

It's fine. Better than most. Cuts not amazing. But hard to find that for a male with tons of curly hair. Seems most places just cut the same style over and over and not really understand the client. read more

Great service, Victor is the best ! Super cool vibes in the building, barber talk over all good people. Highly recommend Victor!

I booked a 9:30 am appointment on the app that was recommended on their website. Arrived a few mins before 9:30. Being that this is my first time at the barbershop, I am not sure who is who & which barber I am scheduled with. I assumed the barber is aware of his upcoming appointments. I doubled check on the appointment app and saw a thumbnail pic of my barber I booked and figured out who it is. He was wrapping up another customer. He did ask if I had an appointment and I said yes. Now it's a few mins past 9:30 and he was having a chat with his customer and fellow barbers. The customer left, and the barber, based on his body language, he did not appear to be in a rush. He was cleaning his station and sweeping up the hair on the other barbers station as well. Then he goes to what appears to be the restroom. Afterwards, the landline phone rings, he comes out of the restroom, grabs that landline phone, and his cell phone and goes to another back room. Assuming that's a break room. It's now 9:45. My time is slotted for 9:30 - 10:30 am. Looking at the time, and not sure when my barber will come out, and thinking how many arrangements I made to get to the shop on time on a Saturday morning. I got frustrated. Maybe I should've asked the other barbers what's going on. But I assumed barbers should be aware of their upcoming appointments. I wish I could rate this place based on a haircut, but my first impression was not great. And having to wait with no communication is a no for me. read more

I take my son here who is very picky with his haircuts. Grant is his guy - consistently provides a high quality cut.

Had tried barber shops here and there, but never clicked. Searched around and found all the barbers at Commonwealth were very highly rated. Grant had availability so I went with him. Awesome cut, great experience. Will return! read more

Best haircut in my life. Grant, you made me into a new man. Thank you. read more

I was nervous to go to a new hairstylist, but needed to find someone closer to home. This place is awesome. Lauryn was AMAZING! Everyone there was super friendly. The atmosphere is super cool and relaxed. This was my first visit with a hairstylist since I have had my hair this short. I was super impressed with how well Lauryn cut my hair. She did it exactly like I asked. I had never had my neck shaved before; my last barber just used the clippers. She used warm shaving cream and did a fabulous job. The massage at the end was a very nice touch. The location is also super close and convenient to my home, which is a huge bonus. This is definitely my new favorite place. I already made my next appointment I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a great haircut. read more

What an awesome spot! Great vibes, chill atmosphere! Made an online appointment with Grant and came out looking and feeling fantastic! They also have a great line of products that they use themselves for sale. Highly recommend and looking forward to my next visit. read more

Commonwealth Barber Shop - Great cut! - Barbers Near Me - Stevenson Ranch, California

It truly doesn't get better than this place for beard trims. I cut my own hair so I have yet to try them out for that, but if they are half as good at that as they are with my beard then we're in fine shape. I am super particular with who trims my beard and Lauryn is the only person on the west coast that I'll go to at this point and that's saying a lot living in La. if you're looking for a great beard trim, straight razor shave etc. this is your place and Lauryn is the best. read more

Great haircut and service, buuuut.... They rarely sweep the floors of old hair and constantly brush out their gear in my direction. Which is really gross, especially if i'm wearing shorts. read more

Commonwealth is the absolute best! They take all precautionary measures during COVID 19, and Andre is hand down the best barber there is.

My regular spot for my haircut was Apollo's Barbershop, where I met Grant. Found out recently he was no longer cutting hair there and was at a new spot - Commonwealth Barbershop. Grant is an amazing Barber and would follow him anyplace. This new place is awesome. Friendly, detailed, and incredible service. Anyone looking for the personal touch, go here. These guys know what they are doing. New Barbershop in town, and it kicks ass! read more

This is by far the cleanest, most upscale barbershop i have ever been to. The customer service you will receive as soon as you walk in the door is 5 stars alone. The quality of the haircut is top notch. This is not a barbershop that will rush you out of the chair. They take there time and make sure your haircut is something your happy with before you leave. Both barbers have years of experience and deliver a highend haircut and shave. I recommend making a appointment as they also welcome walk ins. If your looking for a good quality haircut at a honest price and a environment that you will feel comfortable at then i highly recommend you come here. I personally get my haircut done with andre but either barber will leave a lasting impression and have you coming back everytime your in need of a haircut. I rate this barbershop as the #1 barbershop in all of santa clarita. read more

Great shop, outstanding service. Grant is a fantastic barber and a good man. I've been going to him exclusively for quite some time. He also makes his own pomade, which the shop sells alongside a selection of other awesome products. If you can't get in with Grant, you can't go wrong with the shop owner Andre. Although I've never gotten a haircut from him, he's super friendly and helpful, and has a great reputation. read more

Grant is my Barber of choice!! I follow this good guy anywhere ! Been cutting my hair for years now .. never disappointed. Real cool and pleasant to work with highly recommend. Trust my hair to Grant! This was my first time in the new shop and it was a great experience. The atmosphere was perfect, nice chill vibe. I'm glad these guys opened a personal shop, beats the run down feeling of the place they care from. No crotchety lady at the desk, all the barbers waiting in the waiting area trying to hit on her, none of the nonsense. Definitely come here for a great cut and no BS... keep it up boys, see you next time. read more

My old barber disappeared last year so I have been shopping for a good haircut. Well I found my place. I had an appointment with Lauryn and this is the best haircut I have had in a long time. Came here looking for a good haircut after many disappointments at other barbers. My expectations and standards were lowered because of all the bad haircuts I had gotten before, but this shop and my barber Alex blew me away. The shop itself has a very nice interior and the employees clearly care about their job and their workplace. I booked an appointment with Alex and he was ready as soon as I showed up. I myself didn't know exactly what to do with my hair but when I explained what I had in mind to Alex he brought my vision to reality. He was very meticulous with my hair and made sure to give me the best service possible. He was very professional and overall a great guy. Will be coming back soon! read more

Andre is the best! For how he treats his clients and the quality and care he puts in on every cut, you'd expect to pay a lot more. He is one of those rare professionals that enjoys what he does and is really good at what he does. His shop is clean and inviting and I really can't imagine going anywhere else. SO glad I found it! read more
