I am writing this review to hope to save a you from getting railroad. I prepaid to save money. When I checked out I received a bill with the prepayment with a zero balance. Then the hotel charge me a extra day saying I requested to extend my stay. I never requested my stay because I had a business appointment on Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. So why would I extend my stay. When I requested a refund they just keep making up stories and updated invoice and a sales draft in never seen or signed and sent it to me. So if you have to stay in Terre Haute I would find another hotel to stay out. read more

We waited far too long for service at the front desk. The room smelled like an abandoned WW2 bunker. Humid and musty on a level that almost made us request another room. And the air conditioner did nothing to help. The bathroom door would not close all the way unless you wrestled closed. And the hardware in the door jam was completely missing. Forget about opening the window, too. The corner of the screen had the seal come loose, so there was a big gap, and the other corner was popped out away from the frame. The room rate before taxes was $137, which is about $50 too high. They attempted to paint and add a few pictures to fool you into thinking this was a modern room. They failed. Coffee was watered down and cold!! Place is fairly clean but they are cheaply running stuff!! If you can't make real coffee don't make it at all!! I notice these hotels are hit and miss!! I recommend staying somewhere else when in Terre Haute!! read more

This hotel was the worse hotel i have ever stayed at!! The room smelled musty! I didnt have a sheet or anything for the pull out bed for my daughter!! The beds are very uncomfortable! BED BUGS!! Do not stay here! We stayed here for 5 nights and on the 5th night we found bed bugs on our beds. Mangers were apologetic but owner was rude and refused to actually talk with us about this disaster. She didn't even apologize or even speak with us but rather spoke through her manager from the back. She offered to take two nights off but I pushed for a full refund. The refunded in full, but when we asked for reimbursement for the new clothes we had to buy and luggage she refused. We will be contacting a lawyer. read more

Disappointed and annoyed the pool and hot tub is close because of BS excuse due to COVID. Signs says according to CDC and WHO recommendation, which is a malarkey. How come the pool and hot tub in St George, Utah, and San Clemente, CA Comfort Inn and Suite are open? As a Certified Infection Control and Preventionist Nurse for seven years before these whole theater came to play, I do not even know where to start how ridiculous these whole charades are. I get it, people are only doing the best they can at the level of their understanding and awareness. I suggest they look up what real scientist like Dr. Gupta, Oxford U Professor of Epidemiology, and Dr. Bhattacharya, Standford U Professor of Medicine and Dr. Atlas have to say or said, instead of the corrupt Fauci, CDC, and WHO. read more

I went in as a "walk in" a month ago. As soon as I walked into the room I left. It was room number 113. Most hotels do not have number 13 in any rooms or floors! I have two little girls and one with allergies. It was $150 after tax and I didn't check in till about 1 AM. We were driving all day and we just needed a place to sleep. They claimed they could not refund me due to it being the weekend. I had to call my bank. Mind you night audit hadn't been done. So that was a lie! The rooms look NOTHING like the pictures. It smelled terribly of cigarettes, dirty dog, mildew, and chemicals trying to cover it up. This hotel needs their franchise agreement terminated. I worked at a hotel for years and did everything from front desk to housekeeping to doing laundry. This place should not be a Comfort Inn. I was disgusted and in shock. The guy at the front desk was nice but he did not know how to refund me and I called multiple times the following week and they still couldn't refund me. My bank fixed it. We were not in the room but maybe 15 seconds. Go to the Hampton! Do not stay here. It's basically the same price! The other thing is there is positive reviews online in Google search. I should've looked at yelp first. What a scam! I'm still shocked a month later and that's why I'm leaving this review. Don't waste your time or money. POOR MANAGEMENT! read more

Room 218 and 220 both have Bed Bugs. The Hotel staff was very friendly when checking in and the pool was open for use which was nice on a hot day. Room had a funny smell like wet dog and smoke. When we headed home the next day we noticed itching and red spots from Bed Bugs. read more

Two words: BED. BUGS. Do not stay here. Myself and two classmates stayed here for 4 out of 5 nights booked. I went to the ER on the 3rd day with a swollen and infected forearm thinning I'd been bitten by a spider on campus. Two days later my pregnant classmate had multiple bites on her back and decided to flip the mattress only to find that she'd been sleeping with bed bugs. The hotel offered us a 2 night refund initially which was unacceptable. We left and went to La Quinta next door. They ended up refunding the whole stay but wouldn't even consider reimbursing us for the new clothes we had to buy to sleep in that night and travel the next day. The managers were nice but the owner is a jerk. She didn't make eye contact with us let alone apologize. I'm on antibiotics for the next 10 because of this. Don't stay here. Especially based on the fact that the new La Quinta next door is impeccably clean and great customer service read more

We typically stay on the road at this chain or one like it. When we go back to Terre Haute next weekend we WILL NOT stay here. The room itself, when we opened the door was very musty. The rotten AC smell that closed up rooms get. We shut it off and opened the windows on an 85 degree day. When we returned from going out to eat, the mustiness had pretty much gone away. The comforter had spots of dried blood on it. It looked to have been cleaned so it was stained. We didn't use it anyway because of the AC smell and the open windows. Otherwise the room itself was about like we expected. Good size for the three of us for an overnight stay. Breakfast the next morning was more than sufficient for me. This is an added bennie for staying with this chain on our trips. When I returned to the room the next morning after eating, does the term locker room smell ring a bell? read more

This is my third visit at this hotel and I absolutely LOVE IT. The staff here is so wonderful Julie at the front desk goes beyond her duties to make sure me and my family is comfortable. This was a complete disappointment to say the least. Traveling with kids one of most important parts of a hotel is the pool. It is a smaller pool which is ok as long as you are the only family swimming if not it gets cramped very quick. In the photos of the hotel is shows a hot tub which is no longer here! As an adult the most important part for me is cleanliness. When we first arrived I notice immediately a stain on the sheets. The breakfast was the best part of the entire visit! This hotel and staff are wonderful, though the staff more than the hotel. The hotel is clean and well equipped. The breakfast is good and the beds are comfortable. The staff is amazing and continually accommodating. Bailey, at the front desk, is awesome , as is everyone else. The only thing that would make it better would be an outdoor pool and fitness center. Stayed on our way up to NY for a family vacation. It was a comfortable room, decent breakfast, and good price for what we needed. Roughly $150 for a room that sleeps six (two beds and a sofa bed). Wish we had more time to take advantage of the amenities, but as it stood, beds and breakfast were good to keep us on our way. read more
