Because I still can't believe they just put the towels on top of the toilet.

We have stayed at Comfort Suites often and with the high ratings of this property, I had similar expectations. The room itself was adequate, not as nice or updated as other Comfort Suites, but adequate. The sofa bed was worn, especially underneath. I wouldn't trust an adult weight on it, but it's okay for our 8 year old. We arrived late at night and went straight to bed. Fridge and microwave in the room- bonus points! Microwave is insanely low power- minus a few bonus points (took about 10 min to pop a bag of popcorn). In the morning, I yelled at my son for "missing" in the bathroom- turns out the toilet just hadn't been cleaned. That's kinda gross. Got in the shower and there was a long hair on the curtain. Also, kinda gross. Breakfast was pretty good- bonus points! We had a really long day. Came back at 10 at night- and our room hadn't been cleaned. I called the front desk to inquire, and the response was that they run out of towels, but later delivered towels to our room. That's true. They put the towels on the toilet. Not even on the rack. And the toilet still hasn't been cleaned. Needless to say, I'm pretty frustrated. And disappointed- because I know this isn't the reputation Comfort Suites has. The lack of response at the front desk, including my having to request to speak to a manager (after explaining what happened and being offered toiletries) and suggesting that perhaps they should take my cell phone number- just adds to the frustration. Very disappointing.

Pee? Squirt? I dont know but the house "cleaning" lady touched it when I told her about it

My husband reviewed it already with all the details. But had to add one because it's the dirtiest hotel I've ever experienced. See the photos and review by mitchymitchmitch82 for details.

Needing a quick mid-week getaway, my beau reserved us a room here. Neither of us had stayed here before, but it was in the right price range so we went for it. We left after work so by the time we got to Prescott Valley from Mesa it was past sunset. When we pulled up to the hotel is was brightly lit in a beautiful color changing scheme, making it very welcoming. The lobby was super clean and the desk staff were prompt and got us checked in quickly. Even though it was later in the day, there were still cookies available (have to love free snacks upon arrival). We were given a room on the third floor, overlooking the valley - a very nice view. The room was modern and very clean. It came with a mini fridge and microwave, which is a great feature if you are staying more than one night. There is a shoppette in the lobby that we did not use, but it looked well stocked with late night treats and forgotten sundries (those that didn't come with the room). Speaking of! On the bathroom sink they had pre-moistened makeup remover wipes. I have stayed in some very nice Hilton's that don't even come with that. The location is very nice as well. We were a quick drive to a busy plaza that had a Harkins, shopping, and restaurants. The best part about the stay was the breakfast (well, the company too but he came with me). The breakfast was set up from 6-10 and both of us were expecting your basic continental breakfast that you get at 90% of the hotels out there. We were both impressed. They had waffle irons (with plain and blueberry mixes), bagels, danishes in five flavors, omelets, hard boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal, sausage (no bacon though...), and oatmeal. Plus two types of juice, milk, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. I've had to pay for buffet breakfasts like this one in the past. It was a sweet setup. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Prescott Valley. It was great for a quick overnight, but would be ideal for a weekend or extended stay.

My boys received bubbles and some coloring books, that was sweet. Our room was spacious with a full kitchen. It's always nice to have extra room with the kids. We were able to crack the windows to get a nice cool breeze into the room, I really enjoyed that. The pool area had two small hot tubs and a shallow pool for little kids. Next to the pool is a sitting area where you can relax or have a nice lunch or dinner outside. If you're looking to eat out, there were many restaurants nearby. We ended up going across the street to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Their complimentary breakfast buffet had a nice variety. The kids were able to fill up on waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal and fruit. They also offered biscuits and gravy, bagels, toast, and pastries We had a great experience, I would book at this hotel again.

This dishwasher was popped out of the kitchen cabinet a bit, but they came to fix it. It wasn't exactly "high end", but not bad for the price at all. Check out the panoramic picture I took showing off most of the area. We picked this place because they had complimentary EV chargers, which is really nice in Prescott since there are no Tesla Charging Stations. The only issue is regular gas cars parking in the spots blocking the stations. Since they allow it, you might end up stranded in your car and having to uber. Removing one star for this although I was always able to find an empty stall. I remember there was a Dodge Charger that ICEed one of the spots intentionally our entire stay. I know the democrats are mad at Elon and Trump, but that is no reason to block a charging spot. Could be that they just hate EV's too but either way, no reason to make it hard for others. Free breakfast was not great, except for chorizo day. I tried to eat a bagel one day and it tasted like plastic. Despite these complaints it was a great place to stay for the money compared to other options so I will still give it 4 stars.

I stayed here about a week ago and I didn't know what to expect since this was my first visit. I…read morebooked my reservation for one night about six week in advance. The room had two queen beds since that was the only option available at the time. It was a pretty good deal for $116. Check in is at 4pm which is on the later side for hotels but it didn't matter to me since I arrived in the evening. The driveways and the parking spaces are wide so there is plenty of room for larger vehicles. The staff are nice and I didn't have any issues checking in or out but they didn't mention the incidental hold for my stay. Every hotel has one and the staff are supposed to inform you about it at check in but this bit of info was overlooked. I had to check my bank account to see that the hold was for $25. It got refunded after I checked out which is what I expected but it would have been nice to be informed about it. The room was nice. The bathroom sink is located outside of the bathroom and this kind of feature is becoming more common among hotels. There's a microwave, coffee machine, and mini fridge but I didn't use the appliances. The air conditioner was on for some reason so I turned it off. The bed was kind of stiff (at least, one of the two beds in the room) but the pillows were comfortable. The shower had some trouble maintaining stable water pressure but it wasn't a big deal. Breakfast is from 6am-10am and has the typical Holiday Inn staples: eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, toast, bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt, hardboiled eggs in the little fridge, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, and juice. There's a pancake maker but I didn't see any batter. There's a laundry room and a stocked vending machine on the second floor but you can also buy snacks and drinks from the front desk. There's a small patio behind the hotel that you can access via a door near the ground floor stairwell. There are some tables and chairs and a portable grill out there. Guests are allowed to use the grill when permitted by hotel staff, at least according to the sign posted nearby. This hotel is across the street from a large mall and I thought about walking over there but the mall is situated on top of a hill. There is no easy access to get there on foot. It's possible, but you have to walk the perimeter of the property by following the roads to one of the driveways leading into the parking lots. My only gripe is that there were a lot of noisy guests. I woke up several times in the night because someone was talking loudly in the halls and slamming doors. Overall this was a very nice visit and I'd stay here again if I happen to be in the area.

Here are some of the things that impressed me: - Love the free chocolate chip that actually tasted pretty good. - The concierge let us choose which floor we could stay on which is very nice. I like to stay on the higher floors as it occasionally means that less people stay in these rooms and thus they can be newer. - The rooms were nice and modern. Everything was very comfortable and the shower pressure was exactly right. It gave me Springhill Sites vibes which I appreciated. - The concierge really knew their stuff. We asked them a question and they answered it with ease. Overall, great stay and will definitely be coming back to more Holiday Inn Expresses.

This is a difficult review to write. The reason I say that is because the staff was so kind, but…read morethese are things I would like to know before booking a stay here. We requested a non-smoking room with a king size bed. As soon as we entered the hallway heading to our room, while all the doors had the no smoking sign on them, it reeked of old stale cigarette smoke. Perhaps at some point smoking was allowed in these rooms and it has seeped so deep into the walls and the carpet that the smell is a permanent fixture, as our room also had a faint cigarette smell. This might not bother some people, but I'm extremely sensitive to cigarettes smoke, even the smell. Our room had some updates, such as some furniture and the floor, but it was not very clean. The floor was gray linoleum that looked/felt like it hadn't been swept or mopped in weeks. The white towels were thin and crispy, not appealing at all. The updates that had been done looked cheap, quick, and messy. The mattress was dreadful. It was a lumpy spring mattress set on a squeaky metal frame with no boxspring. Needless to say it was not a good night sleep. The white sheets and pillowcases were stained, the tub was yellow, and the separate components of the currents were outdated and didn't match. We didn't use the microwave or the mini fridge, but both looked old and outdated. The cost of our room was about $130, a little more after taxes and what not. I feel like it was over priced, and we will not be staying there again.

I was skeptical about booking here because of the reviews in the past. But I can confidently say…read morethat the staff here is very nice and accommodating. *****THEY HAVE BEDBUGS AND STAFF IS DISHONEST WARNING****…read more This was a short staycation booked in the Christmas season at one of our previously favorite properties, but our experience here was very negative. On the night we checked in, before getting into bed, my mom found a bedbug on her pillow. This was highly distressing. One of our party members has serious issues with insect bites, so on top of the bedbug concern, we did not want to risk her health and stay in the room. We immediately went to the front desk and provided photographic evidence to staff. The night staff (a shorter older woman and maintenance staff man who I believe wore glasses) informed us that this was in fact a bedbug, and that they would refund the entire stay. Since it was already 11: 00 at night we had to immediately vacate the hotel, and at our own cost, book other accommodations. We did not receive any answers to our calls for two days, until they finally answered and denied having said that this was a bedbug, and outright refused to refund for the night we stayed as promised previously. No help, no remedy, just silence. In addition to the monetary loss, our luggage and clothing had to be taken care of for the duration of our trip which meant additional costs and worries. Very disappointing, not just with the bugs, but how they were dealt with. Stay elsewhere please for your own safety and health.
