Nobody wants to see the remnants of whatever wiped onto this sofa. Ewww!

Lordy. People, just don't. I'm telling you, our room had the worst smell! The place is dirty. The furniture is straight up nasty! They are working on renovations right now and the workers have to use the guest elevators so, if you refuse to take my advice to find another hotel and decide you like stinky rooms and gross sofas, expect possible delays waiting for an open elevator or take the stairs. Here's the good news- the workers are very nice! So, if they ever get this place renovated and cleaned up, it'll be a good place to stay because they really are nice. Plus, there is an indoor pool.

Nice, clean, and comfortable room for a good price. The staff was friendly and the check-in process was a breeze. There is only one elevator. it is slow and shared with staff and guests. My room, 324, was meticulously clean when I checked in. Internet is fast and water pressure is good. A hot breakfast is served every morning, with waffles and scrambled eggs. They seem to rotate between sausages, cocktail weenies, and biscuits & gravy each day. There is 24 hour coffee and tea, and sundries are available for sale. This facility is outside the loop on the south side of town. Access to it requires taking a u-turn on a busy US highway.

Good value for the $. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious enough for me to consider the possibility of staying for an extended period of time. Breakfast was of decent proportions (bagels, sausage, waffles, fruit, and dry cereal) as well as three different blends of coffee. The amenities of the pool area (no hot tub) plus an adjoining weight room with two machines were also quite appealing. Although the hotel is a few minutes from SFA & the heart of Nacogdoches, arriving at the front desk is interesting. There is a bit of construction going on that forces you to make an awkward U-turn in order to access the hotel. With a Sonic next door for all of you fast food aficionados with late night munchies, the Comfort Suites seems to be a pretty good option for business travel. Will be back.

Clean rooms. Workout room and pool are pretty small but serviceable. Wifi is pretty slow. A little far from downtown but priced to match.

Horrible experience! No cold water-only scalding hot water. I just wanted to take a shower and go to bed. We had to go to another hotel.

Boutique style hotel that has a long history in Nacogdoches and affinity for SFA. My wife was…read moreable to find a Lumberjack parent package which included a bottle of wine, Lumberjack hat, Lumberjack shirt, and adult sip cup (which you can use to get soda, tea for free in the bar downstairs!). This was certainly off peak season and not during parents weekend, but the price was $181 before taxes on a double queen bed room. It's just a block or so off the square so you can walk to plenty of activities and shopping. Just a mile or two from SFA so easy access there too. It's no wonder this place fills up so quickly during parents weekend or homecoming and such. Older HVAC system but newer dual thermostat which adjusts for hot or cold depending on the temperature you set. Seemed to work fine, though it got a little cold in the winter evening we were there before it adjusted. Place was built in the 50s but really nice remodeling done in all the areas. Room was spacious. Bathroom a bit on the smaller side, and the shower is one of those where you have to reach under the shower head so you get a little cold shot before pulling your hand back! Also, no shower door which I am not a fan of, but seemed to be fine after I put a towel mat down. Plenty of towels, pillows and bed covers so the place presents itself as upscale. Sundays they have all day happy hours in the bar (9 flags). But warning, if it's slow they will close everything down early and head home.... Another concern might be during peak times because there was only one elevators, which is modernized, but still a Lone Ranger! Seems each floor has a drink machine right by the elevator for convenience. More than a dozen food places within one mile of the place. Parking out front and on the side of the building was pretty easy and convenient. They do have a car port at the lobby entrance to check in before you park if you prefer. My wife took advantage of the 25% coupon in the gift shop as part of the parent package and bought several fredonia and sfa swag it a great discount. Thumbs up on this place from me, wife, and teenager. Just a note, as we had our electric car this trip. Not charging station at this hotel. As for the rest of the town, there is a Tesla supercharging station, but everything else around town is either level 1 or 2 and basically located at a place of business or hotel. One win for Elon on this category!

Wow. So many things awful. I guess the new philosophy is they are the only game in down so it's ok…read moreif everything is terrible. They don't care. No upkeep, terrible service, pool trashed, and staff telling you off. I also paid for fresh flowers in the room and sparkling wine for our arrival. I received plastic flowers and a $6 bottle of sparkling wine from HEB. Ridiculous. We also paid for a pool view room. You will see how bad that was in the photos. We reached out the the management staff they never responded All we can thank this property for is successfully ruining our anniversary.

The Hardeman House is wonderfully located in Downtown Nac near the Fredonia Hotel. Unfortunately,…read morethere were lots of missteps during Hubby and I's stay. We were never given any instructions on check-in. When we arrived, there was an envelope with our name with a sign on the door that said to ring the bell. When no one arrived, we had to figure out that we needed to let ourselves in with the keys. The red room was nice, but the black furniture showed a lot of dust. The downstairs common area was very cluttered. Not the B&B's fault, but the nearby Fredonia Brewery's live music went on until well after 9p. The bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. Coffee was on the sideboard the next morning. A young couple was in the kitchen, but bearly acknowledged us. Not sure if they were the innkeepers. Breakfast was ok, but the food tasted like reheated leftovers. The bowl of fruit appeared old with browned apples and bananas... perhaps a little toss of lemon juice would have kept the fruit fresh. We left the B&B with the young lady picking up breakfast plates, but no acknowledgement. Not worth the almost $150.00.

Hmmm. Kinda mixed feelings about this place. One on hand, it's a pretty decent B&B in my opinion…read more It definitely has some attributes worth mentioning. Things we loved: Beautiful old, historic house in good location. No list of 37 thousand stupid rules that most B&Bs have Nice accommodations and very quiet!! (Stayed on a Tues/Wed so maybe that's why) Cute kitty-cats roam the property Nice wrap around porch with table & chairs Decent water pressure Refrigerator with complimentary water (nice touch) ================================= Things that could be slightly improved: Have an accessible microwave (next to the fridge would be perfect!!) Have a large trash can where we can dump our trash daily (trash cans in room are super TINY) Boiling kettle in room and/or single Keriug coffee maker (OR.., just have a functional coffee/tea self serve station)** while we were there the coffee station was down and in- op) Access to Extra pillows/blankets would be a very nice touch Things that I consider a deal breaker: We encountered a couple downstairs at one point in our stay and not sure if they are the owners or employees or what.... But they definitely left a bad impression. Not friendly or accommodating at all. In fact, borderline rude. Not cool personality traits if you happen to work in the hospitality business. That incident alone would prevent further stays on my part. So, in essence, it is a nice property with lots of potential to be excellent... but needs some more qualified day-to-day personnel on site in my opinion. ** and since I well understand that anyone can find something negative to say about anything... I do want to stress that this place does have some very good attributes!! It's not all bad by any means. Just the employees!
