Check in and am staying for 4 days and three nights at the comfort suites in Benbrook visiting with family. So far the room is excellent with a few exceptions. The shower is extremely slow on hot water the tub is slippery so we had to put down a towel not to fall. The free breakfast is only okay but the blueberry waffles were great maid service is only available if you stay more than 2 nights and then you have to request them. The hotel is very clean and well kept. The location is behind a Cracker Barrel restaurant and a circle k gas stay. The gas prices in Texas are amazing. We filled up for $2.43 a gallon, wow! read more

The front entrance was really nice look'ing and the staff was friendly. But the room and hall ways were disgusting. Very visibly obvious that this hotel has not been cleaned in a very long time, if ever. The floors have trash every where, the coffee maker has stuff all over it, there's bugs and crickets everywhere. We couldn't sleep because a cricket was chirping all night somewhere. The water in the shower leaked all night it's just so obvious this hotel is not clean. This is our 3rd choice hotel in different cities with the same problem. PLEASE BEWARE of CREDIT CARD INFORMATION THEFT. I stayed here Tuesday night , checked in around 2am with someone named "J bascal". I'm not too sure that is the correct last name as the other employee I called today was not helpful and would not give me the guys name that checked me in. I woke up this morning to fraud notifications from my credit card company stating there was $121 charge at a restaurant in forth worth. Then a charge to Hulu. The charges were made online, to be sure no personal information was known of the person that stole the card. This is probably not the first time this employee has done this. The last time I used my card was at this hotel. He told me not to put my credit card in the machine, instead he swiped it on his own on the computer (which I found out through the manager that not using the machine is against policy) I was driving across country and stopped there only for the night to get some rest. I woke up today in TN after not using my card at all, since the comfort inn. I thought I might have left my card in Texas, but nope, it was in my purse. The only logical explanation is that the employee checking me in copied my credit card information onto whatever he swiped it on. My mom said she saw him write something down which might have been the security code. I have filed a complaint with management of the hotel, and have also contacted Choice headquarters and filed a formal complaint that has now opened an investigation. The manager admitted wrong doing of the employee for not using the correct method of payment and I hope he faces repercussions for his actions. He also asked me multiple times to not write reviews online , but I have to share my experience and warn others, this was not ok! PLEASE BEWARE of charges on your card after staying at this hotel (or any hotel) if you use a credit card. It's so disheartening that someone working in customer service would do this to a patron. read more

Everything about our stay here was excellent at this hotel. We are waiting for our new home to be move in ready so we have been at this hotel for an extended period of time. This is not a one night review. I can tell you that the management, the entire staff, and vendors are professional, positive, attentive and caring. They keep the entire property inside and out clean, including stairwells. The rooms are quiet, beds & pillows are comfortable, shower is great - lots of clean towels available. Housekeepers are present and accommodating to needs. You won't find dirty towels and trash bags in the hallways. Ice machines and laundry facilities work properly. The free breakfast is amazing: the quality of food & beverage and even the utensils are all a cut above. Eileen is incredibly welcoming to everyone, she joyfully keeps everything stocked so it doesn't run out and they are not in a hurry for you to leave. If there's a problem, they will fix it. The parking lot is large, the building secure and the area is safe for kids & adults. The current management staff is doing an excellent job at this location, providing consistency you can count on. The pictures you see on this review page look like old pictures - the property has been much improved since then. read more

Cons: Wifi was horrible, couldn't get work done. Next morning was better so maybe its fixed. Tv in lobby was great but in room pretty shady. Wasn't hi-def for sure. maybe that will get fixed too. I came to this hotel because i try to stay at choice hotels and i stayed here previously it was ok, but when i checked in this time the front desk clerk failed to tell me there were no blankets or pillows for the pull out bed so when my kid tried to set bed up they had nothing when we went downstairs to ask for blanket and pillow for pullout bed we were told they were all out! Clearly u could have told me that before you charged me for the hotel... im so beyond pissed right now because nothing was done aBout this i gave my children the bed and i just sat at desk and now i habe a crook in neck i definitely will not be a returning guest to this hotel nor any other choice hotelS!!!! read more

The first night my youngest son woke up about 1:00 AM scratching incessantly. It turns out the bed was infested with bed bugs. The hotel did have a room for us to change to that night. The first night we checked in we noticed above our beds on the ceiling were water pockets. Went down to the front desk to let them know we were told that maintenance and a manager would be communicated with and we would hear something in the morning. All of Saturday goes by no communication. We are awakened late Saturday night early Sunday morning as water began to leak into our room. We got up, we got towels and trash can to secure the water leakage. Went downstairs to inform the front desk and were told the manager was out of town and that there's nothing that they could do for us. Came into town for a job and needed a place to sleep and lay my head. This place was undergoing renovations and I am always happy when a place renovates dated hotels. Only downside here is when you walked in strong chemical and paint smell due to the renovations and cluttered furniture. Once you get past the front desk and go up to your floor and room you lose the smell. Room was newly updated and was clean, comfortable and I had no issues. read more

This was a poor excuse of a hotel. The hot water only lasted for one shower in the morning. The toilet handle was falling off. There was no daily maid service. The free breakfast was oranges and pre- packaged muffins. There was coffee but no tea in the room and only one cup. The hot tub wasn't working. If normal amenities aren't offered because of Covid then the room price should be reduced. Definitely won't be starting at Comfort Suites again. read more

First floor halls and elevators smells like weed 24/7. 3. Used hot sauce packets on the floor, drinks in the mini fridge, and used wash cloth hanging in the shower at check in proves they don't clean or sanitize their rooms after each guest! We are all probably sharing towels and bed covers!! 4. AT CHECK IN... No extra pillows or blankets for pull out bed. No blankets on the full size beds only 1 sheet. We did go down and ask the front desk for all supplies needed and the lady was super sweet. 5. Remote hidden under the mattress and that's how the half eaten cookie was found. The Comfort Inn Benbrook, Texas, should be called the Uncomfortable Roach Suites. If I could provide no stars that would be the rating for this hotel. My entire stay from 7/5/23 to 7/9/23 was characterized by the lowest level of customer service, unprofessionalism, and a poorly kept substandard hotel. I booked two rooms. Upon arrival the elevator was broken. It was late and I had my two grandchildren- we dragged all our items up/down 3 floors. On 7/6, my grandson saw a roach in his room. I was so upset for him and immediately requested another room. On 7/8, a roach was in my room in the bathtub. I took a picture and immediately approached the front desk staff who agreed to call the manager. At that time the front desk staff indicated that they have had problems with roaches for some time. Things went downhill when I requested a total refund of one room. The manager said absolutely not and told me, "you can post whatever you want and call the health department." Booked a room and I had to cancel it. I called to ask about a return and they said it would be within 7 to 8 business days. A month passed and nothing. I called the hotel and the manager wasn't there (this happened like 4 times within that month span.) I emailed the hotel services and still no respond. This is the worst place I have ever stayed. The inside of this hotel stinks and the carpet in the room was all stained. Upon entering the hotel the lobby stinks like smoke and this place won't even give anyone bottle waters. I would give this hotel a zero. There was no daily maid service and when we got into our room at check in there was a half a roll of toilet paper. The service was horrible here. The whole time we were there we were never brought fresh towels, we also asked for another blanket and they couldn't do so. We called for a blanket and they told us we needed to go to the front desk. As we got to the front desk they proceeded to tell us they had no blankets to give us. As we were checking out a guy had to come down to get more toilet paper because they also never brought him toilet paper or fresh towels. The only nice person in that hotel was the sweet lady at breakfast. She was very helpful and constantly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. read more

If I could put zero stars I would've. I had made reservations for the beginning of July, but on the day of arrival our truck wouldn't start. I am aware of the cancellation policy, I however called the hotel front desk and customer service phone number and spoke to multiple people. The man that answered the phone every time I called at the front desk told me that it was his choice whether I got charged or not and that he would not be charging me. I was still charged. If I would've been told I would still be charged when I called, I wouldn't be upset. I am upset because your staff lied to me. We were supposed to reschedule our trip down after our truck gets fixed and we will NEVER stay at your hotel. I have also emailed the manager as well as the customer service complaint person and not a single person has responded in over a week. The GM gave me a discount the other night which the room was at 74.00 dollars at the choice hotels app the GM GAVE A 10 % off because we build hotels .... so it came out at around 67.00 that one night ! I come back 4 days later the app says 88 .00 as you can see on my photo screenshot ! And I was charged 94.00 per night ! It should have been 10 % off from the 88.00 as the app showed miss GM ! That's what you did for me the last time ! Keep in mind I was was going to stay for 4 months at this comfort inn even though you have awful reviews , bugs ! And no this review doesn't end here ! Heck I might just call a couple owners from other properties the we build hotels for... that are from the choice hotel chain .people please don't just write a review on yelp ! TWINKLE, one of the ladies at the front desk charged myself and my friend over 500$ for a one night stay . The card declined because of suspicious activity. Twinkle (who gets named twinkle ?), called my cell and told us we had to pay a THIRD time or we would be asked to leave all the while implying that we didn't have enough money to cover our stay, like I wouldn't pull up my bank account right in front of her (you work at a HOTEL girl, let's talk broke) . We paid an initial 252$ at the front desk while checking into our room, which if you ask me, if the card had declined payment we would not have gotten a room key to begin with. All in all, do NOT stay at this hotel unless you want to sleep in a room with bloodstained carpets, bad service, be overcharged twice, and receive ugly attitude by a woman who may or may not want to possibly eat you. I have a family of 5 and we stayed in this hotel during spring break. Overall, it's a nice hotel and very clean. And, the night staff was pretty accommodating any time we needed something. What I'm not impressed with is the day staff. Any time we needed something during the day, there was nobody at the desk so I had to wait for several minutes before I decided to leave. Had to call twice the first day asking for more linens. Also, the first day, we left at about 10:30am or so to go have some spring break fun. As we were leaving, the cleaning staff was down the hall cleaning other rooms. Usually, you can count on your room being cleaned while you're gone for the day. However, when we came back to our room at about 6pm, we saw that our room had not been cleaned and linens not replaced. So, I go down to the front desk to talk to the lady at the desk. She was very helpful and got what we needed. Didn't seem to have any other problems except for the chlorine in the pool area being so strong that it made my oldest son break out in a rash all over his body. Other than that, the inconvenience earlier in the week, and for its location being kind of far from everything, it's a nice hotel. And, compared to the hotel we're staying in now, I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat. read more

I've visited this motel a number of times over the last six years. Unfortunately, the management has not kept the property's quality up to standard over that time. We found our room dirty, the bathroom had what appeared to be mold on the ceiling, and there was trim and wallboard in need of repair. When we contacted the manager notes were taken, but the attitude indicated the person didn't really care to listen. I will say that we found the other employees pleasant and courteous in spite of the manager's model. Although the website offers breakfast, what was offered was less than desirable. Thankfully, there was a restaurant across the street. The corporate website says they are pet friendly. Well, they do accept small pets at a daily fee. Considering the cleanliness and disrepair of our room, the fee was too high for the quality of the room and service received. read more

They claimed my card had not gone through, when in fact, I contacted my card company that showed the hotel had indeed received my money. A week AFTER I had checked out of this hotel, they charged my card again!! I tried on 2 separate occasions to clear their attempt to double charge me, by going over the matter with the hotel manager in person. Both times she denied any wrong doing on their part. However, my bank fraud department then investigated the matter, and determined that, as I had rightfully alleged, they had charged me twice.
