My husband had quickly rented us an Airbnb that we arrived at late on a Monday night. hen we walked in the door, we were met by roaches and no AC. We were exhausted and I was in a lot of pain so we had to stay that night there! Early the next morning we were scrambling to find another Airbnb to stay at and most of those were booked. So we then started looking at hotels that accepted animals. This is how we landed at true by Hilton. It was early in the morning when we got to the hotel and I was just a hot mess. I walked in the door and was met by an Angel, Stacy. I was in tears explaining our situation to her and asked if they had any available rooms. She immediately came around the corner and hugged my neck. Then she promptly got on her computer and found us a room on the first floor and near an exit in case we had to leave in a hurry to get to my sister. She even let us check in early as a room was ready! She was just a comforting, kind and sweet lady. The room was clean and spacious with two queen beds. They had a a good breakfast in the lobby with nice seating arrangements. They even had a billiard table and a few TV scattered around the lobby. Vee what's in charge of the breakfast area and she was just as lovely as Stacy. How grateful we were to find this place and thought what great customer service they have working for them. When we got back in the evenings, Sosha was at the front desk and she too was incredible. The only negative was that there was a guy who parked his truck right outside our window and blared music every eve, but as soon as I called down to Sosha, she ran out and asked him to turn it down, please. The hotel was great, but the staff is what's gonna bring us back there if we have to come back.

I was very pleasantly surprised. Loved the room layout (the little kitchenette) and the bathroom is contemporary and clean. If you are traveling by car and visiting Charleston this is a nice property to stay at. You can easily get to all the Mt. Pleasant restaurants (there are easily over 20 restaurants (such as Vicious Biscuit, Page's Okra Grill and many many more in area) plus to Isle of Palms and Sullivans Island and of course across the bridge to Downtown Charleston. Lots of stores nearby (Walmart, TJ Maxx, Nordstrom Rack) in case you need anything for the beach or otherwise. Complimentary and adjacent parking is also a plus. Totally random but love the fact that the towels are Made in USA.

The room itself was comfortable enough and everything was in working order. As a Marriott Titanium Elite For Life member I expected to be greeted as such upon arrival, but was not. (Not a huge deal.) I was also to be offered a free item or points and didn't receive either. The worst part was 3 out of the 4 days, housekeeping didn't service our room. We asked them specifically to do it the 2nd and 3rd day, but no luck. The trash piled up in the room and we had to go downstairs each day to get new towels (which also piled up). After complaining the 3rd day, I was told we would be compensated in some way, like additional points, but that never happened. This is a very poorly run place, with the front desk being unmanned for extended periods of time. The breakfast provided was also pretty bad. The hot items were really sub-par, massed produced chemical filled things. There was little or no fresh fruit.

Check in was a breeze, our room was spotlessly clean, and each staff member interacted with was warm and friendly. I found the breakfast to be exceptional - especially for a free breakfast! Both days, all the basics were there: fruit, muffins, coffee, juice, milk, and cereal. Additionally, there were two waffle stations, a TON of delicious treats to choose from: egg bites, croissant, biscuits, bagels, plain eggs made to fit perfectly in the breads offered, with cheese to add! My last morning there, breakfast was this delightful spinach, egg, and cheese pastry and bacon. There's nothing "average" about the breakfast here! Parking is easy, the air conditioning perfectly chill, and our room had everything you could need for a longer stay. The location was perfect for my needs as well. But the eggs were moist unlike most other hotels. All of the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. There is a pool which we did not use due to weather. We look forward to staying here again when we are back down here.

We arrived on a Wednesday at 7:30 pm. This had to be the fastest check-in I have ever experienced. We gave our name and they handed us key cards literally within 5 minutes. I was too tired from the road trip to take in what a nice lobby the hotel has now. Plenty of lounge seating, a business area with a computer, High top tables and stools if you wanted to do some work or business. Also, in the lobby is tables and chairs for breakfast that they serve every morning. Surprisingly, they have an area where you can cook out and make use of their grill outside. There were some families outside using those amenities. The pictures of the room are for Room 314. Two nice queen beds. Clean looking bedspread and crisp sheets. The bathroom was a nice size. The sink was a good size with a mirror that lights up. The shower was clean with glass doors. Extra TP and towels were provided along with Dove Body wash, shampoo, and hand soap. I made use of the microwave and refrigerator. There was ample closet and storage space. I was impressed with the long wood bench. Very helpful for those who are mobile challenged. 6 was a very good choice for a comfortable overnight stay.
