The manager was very rude. I booked a room on Walmart Travel which quoted me a price I agreed with. After I made full payment, I received an email from the manager saying he wanted to charge me more. I had agreed to a non refundable reservation as I trusted everything was on the up and up. Manager refused to honor the set agreed payment and would not give me a refund. It took me over an hour on the phone with Walmart Travel to get my refund. This guy even said I was trying to blackmail him! I'm totally in disbelief how people can operate this way. This hotel is grubby and poorly maintained. The staff are loud and generally unhelpful. The owner is basically a hotel slum lord. Breakfast is only served from 6 AM to 8 AM and is extremely basic. I had to check out early and still got charged another night because they said I didn't warn them soon enough. No other hotel has ever done that in the hundreds of nights I've stayed in hotel in the last 25 years. The room looked like it was painted by the owners children. I stayed at this hotel for 5 days and while I admit, I have high standards- this hotel certainly didn't meet even my lowest standards. Let's start with the good: Friendly staff Quiet rooms Continental breakfast Now the bad: To start, I fell asleep my first night and woke up to a beetle crawling on my arm. Beings that my window was never open- I'm not sure where it came from. The following day, I found two sewer roaches crawling around outside the bathroom. Gag. The hallways smelled of stale smoke, the staff were often missing from the front desk. The flowers in the outside planter boxes were dying or dead. The gym is about 150sq ft and three pieces of equipment from the 80's. To top it all off- I left an expensive pair of shoes and some hair conditioner in my room. Their sign at the front clearly states that they are not responsible for items left behind. But here's what upset me.. I called them 8 hours after my checkout to clearly describe the items left behind. They exclaimed my room hadn't been cleaned yet and they would let the maid know. I called the next day and she said she checked the lost and found and nothing was there. I went in today (three days later) and the gentleman at the desk checked through several items in the lost and found and then said he didn't see it. I hunted down the maid and she tells me that she threw my items away. Hmmmm. How is it that some maids turn items in to the lost and found and others throw them away? YIKES. I also walked away with bug bites ALL over my body. The gal said that they check for bed bugs EVERY day. Interesting, because I put the do not disturb sign on my door.. you still check? Yes ma'am. Yea. NO. I won't be back. Polite people, but shady practices. read more

Garbage in the halls. Very tired room that had a bad odor. Bathroom door stuck in the jamb. Checked out in the am by 7:30 but the manager charged me for a second night because I had booked several days prior to my arrival. The hotel had very few guests at the time of my stay. They did not have to turn guests away due to my reservation. I will recommend other hotels to friends who need to stay in Green Valley. Bad experience. read more

I stayed here for an entire week. I was debating giving a 3 or 4, but decided to bump it to 4. Biggest concern was cleanliness of rooms. Though the bedding, counters, bathrooms and carpets were cleaned and appear to be regularly, small things were overlooked. For instance, there were large and obvious stains on the curtains and walls. There were more good points than bad. The staff was great throughout our stay, its location is very convenient, and the water pressure in the bath room is suprisingly strong. The provided breakfast had to be altered due to coronavirus concerns and regulations, however, they still provided a lot of options. The manager (I think he was the manager) was amazing and very helpful. Would stay here again. read more

Wonderful staff. We used the hot tub every day and there were plenty of towels available and the area was always clean. Room was quiet and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. Breakfast was always good. It was nice to have the hot food, and the gentleman in charge of the dining room was very attentive. The dining area was spotless, and he immediately cleaned the tables as soon as the guests were finished. There are several good restaurants close by. We will definately stay here again. read more

I was surprised by the outdated condition of this hotel. The walls were pretty beat up and the stucco fell apart. The carpets and bathrooms were dirty. Lots of hair was found in the tub of our room. The breakfast appeared to be taken from the closest quick mart. Some of the unhealthiest foods you can eat for breakfast. Just packaged junk, coffee, and dry cereal. Staff seems to be focused on other things certainly not guest services. I recommend you bring your own towels. The ones this place offers are thin and rough. I will never stay at a Comfort Inn again. They have really decreased their standards over the years. The only plus was the ample parking. read more

Been staying here for work. Tonight the door lock batteries died and I can't get in my room. Front desk says tomorrow morning when the manager comes in. I asked to call the manager and she said no. I have no work clothes at all and we leave at 4 am. Front desk is no help AT ALL. She gave me another room for a place to sleep but that doesn't solve the problem. Worst service ever! read more

This place is a SH*TH*LE. Both our rooms stank of stale cigarette smoke. The lobby and hallways on both floors stank too. I am usually not sensitive to smoke, but the smell was HORID and even caused sinus problems for two of us. They don't even make an attempt to cover up the smell. The rooms were NOT prepped and as a result it was like walking into an oven. It would have been nice if the staff turned on the A/C prior to our arrival, but no.... we had to let those tiny overused A/C units work all night before it even became tolerable... the smell never went away with the A/C. Management could not find any other rooms for us, despite being EMPTY (parking lot was empty too) and we had confirmed reservations for non-smoking rooms. I really can not understand the rave reviews it has on it's web site. This place was so bad, we left a day early because of the stench. If you REALLY have to stay in Green Valley, and have no choice between this place or sleeping in your car, then you should stay in your car or bring a tent. read more

This Comfort Inn had everything we needed. Wireless Internet, phone charging ports, large room w/desk area, comfy bed. It was clean and the free breakfast was good and offered protein; some are all carbs. The staff was accommodating & friendly. We will stay there again when we visit Green Valley. My husband stays at this hotel every Thursday due to he's on call for the hospital there In Greenvalley. The manager Armish might be missed spelled knows that he needs an early check in and always on the second floor. He has never been disappointed in the rooms they are always clean. The only reason this place gets one star is because it does provide shelter. But whatever you do, do not give these people your credit card number. The staff will tell you anything you want to hear. We reserved rooms with two queen beds per room only to find out upon arrival that they only have rooms with 1 king or two doubles which forced us to all have to be in separate rooms with Kings and then were charged for the rooms we moved out of as well. I stayed at this location over the weekend and I came home with bed bug bites all over my arms and legs. I called the hotel manager to notify him of the situation and told him that I would like a refund. He was not helpful, so I called the corporate office and was on hold to speak to someone for 30 mins. They were also not helpful with this situation. This is a regular stop for us. Mostly because we really enjoy the complimentary breakfast. Especially the waffles you cook fresh in their wafflemaker. Rooms are well furnished, clean and tidy with coffemaker, microwave and refrigerator, some with freezers big enough to freeze a couple of gallon water jugs. Staff are always friendly and helpful and there is a pretty decent restaurant just across the parking lot. The only downside is proximity to the Interstate. It only affects a few rooms and we've always been able to ask for the quieter rooms. read more

What a dump! Manager, Mr Patel, was the rudest person I ever had the displeasure of dealing with! Room was in absolutely deplorable condition, as was the hot tub! Safety rail literally fell over when trying to enter it. Food was awful, they put one serving of scrambled eggs out at a time. Pastries were as stale as they could be. I would not get in ice cold pool and the floor of it was either filthy or the paint severely in need of attention. They over charged us by $20 and instead of crediting the card they added another.$20.00. My husband made a 2 hour drive from Phoenix to resolve the problem and was more or less told to get out and they would NOT credit our card the $40.00 we were overcharged! Mr. Patel absolutely refused to do anything. about it. With the $40.00 we were over charged almost $200.00 per night to stay at this horrible place . Took parents there to check in. You could not understand the woman behind the desk. Went UP(asked for lower floor, completely ignored) to the room and came right back down to check them out! They have stayed there before and will never stay there again! Went to a less expensive NICER Inn with a golf course right outside! This place is a disgrace to hotels/motels everywhere! Dirty sheets, not vaccuumed and the toilet was not flushed! If there are no rooms available except for here go to Tucson! Or don't come here at all! read more

There is at least one reason why this hotel as such a low average. The General Manager, Mr. Patel is rude and has demonstrated to me that he knows very little about customer service or how to run a hotel. My wife and I have travelled for many years (we're retired) and we have never ever had an experience like the one that we have had with this Inn and it's corporate headquarters at Choice. First of all Choice does not have any authority over the local hotels. So don't think that you have a successful major chain standing behind the hotel. Here's my problem I made a mistake a month ago (January) when I accidentally booked 2 rooms at the discounted rate for next month (March). I intended to book one but made a mistake on the website. Neither the Comfort Inn in Green Valley nor Choice has spent anything on this room in my behalf. They have had and probably still have enough time to re-book my double reservation. Yet they will not give me a refund for one of the rooms. I do plan to use the other room. They are out nothing but a good customer. BUYER BEWARE! I had the displeasure to stay two night in this hotel. You know you have a problem when the hotel manager can not get your transaction right. I had booked the room with my debt card but changed to my credit card upon checking in the next day I learned that the hotel had charged two nights on my debt card and my credit card and even tacked on an additional night. When I confronted the manager he said he realized it and issued me a correction at least that is what he called it. I however have to wait till Monday to see just how much damage he has done. Also the fitness room none of the three machines work. Another member of my party had similar problem with double billing and had to move rooms when the heater did not work. Due to car trouble my one night expected stay turned into three nights. The Inn was clean (they do need to clean out the refrigerator in between customers). The bed was good. The four pillows were good and they had a nice comforter which most hotels don't provide. Janet, who checked us in was very sweet. She made sure she placed us rooms away from the elevator as she said it can get noisy with people coming in late. The morning manager was very sweet and accommodating. The breakfast was good. I liked the donuts and yogurt. Yes, I would stay there again, even if I didn't have car troubles. read more
